Whilst I'm here I think if you can get Pienaar yiu would have a good chance of a top 6 finish as I think Naismith could be a very good signing. I think you should tell the Mancs where to go regarding Baines as well, especially the way their fans are talking about him, he is way better than Evra.

I personally believe we don't need another right back at the moment, what with Neville and Hibbert. Yes they are old, but I reckon we can get another good season out of Hibbert, who was fantastic last season! He tore Jose Enrique a new one at Anfield!

I have a lot of time for Hibbert. He's one of the few players I can think of - like Osman - who came through our youth system, has stayed loyal to the club, and established himself as a first team choice. How many others have ticked ALL of those boxes? Besides, if David Moyes rates him - as he clearly does - then he must be a proper player even if he's no Lionel Messi.

Reality check......Michael Owen....great finisher in his day.....(could have been great player if he had a left foot which he would never use and let him down on so many occasions in an England shirt). Wind forward to 2012.....no pace, no left foot, no better than many young players we have coming through. Please let us not start looking back instead of blooding prospects who can turn quickly and run at a defender. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Alright lads, on holiday in Dubai for the summer. Today in the mall of the emirates waiting for a taxi outside Harvey Nics, the very tall Fernando Llorente came staright toward me.

If you really are desperate for proof, you can type in llorente dubai into twitter and you'll find my two tweets and some girl claiming that he was going to Dubai from last week.

Baines will not be joining United. I repeat NOT. He won't join to be put on the bench and wait for his time to shine. Face it, he'll be understudy to Evra. Moyes has no reason to sell and he's not being forced to sell to fund moves. As well as this, Baines has made it clear he doesn't want to go. In an interview a few weeks back he stated the only reason he'd ever leave Everton was if the management no longer wanted or needed him OR they needed to cash in on him which Everton don't. The Baines deal isn't "sorted" or "done", you made an enquiry and that's all. No formal bids have been placed, nothings going on behind the scenes so quit with the whole "Baines deal is in the bag", it's not in the bag at all, in fact; it's still probably in Tesco on a shelf too highly priced for you. And please, the Modric rumours? Don't get me started. You're competing against Real Madrid. Why do you think you lost Alba? You can't compete financially with them. Your team is -£800m in debt and forced to use the NY stock exchange to sell off shares to the club. In conclusion, don't touch what you can't have.

I don't have a problem with people putting their own money into football clubs. I do have a problem with clubs that go into (massive) debt using other people's money by borrowing from banks and elsewhere. I have a real problem with those indebted clubs that then go into bankruptcy (or whatever) and leave their creditors high and dry. However, IMHO while the vested interests (agents, players, TV advertisers, etc.) can still put their snouts in the trough there's no way things will change. What do others reckon?

I remember reading back along that Everton budget to finish 10th in the league, so extra money would be availble from finishing 7th + Extra from FA Cup run, there must also be money in the Nike and stubhub deals. Not forgetting Sales of squad players and wages saved from loan/released players. If only we can shift Yobo and Anichebe there could be yet more players coming (fingers crossed)

Ssn(breaking news banner) on at this very moment in time 11:51, is saying everton are in talks with spurs about permanent signing of Steven pienaar! so we are definitely getting it sorted now! That's fantastic news! If we can get pienaar aswell as keeping our top players and not forgetting the already signed Naismith then I feel we will have a very good season! If we can do all of the above plus a couple of surprise signings! Then who knows how far we could go! Coyb!

I know all us Evertonians dont allways see eye to eye about stuff but how good is it that in the first 2 weeks of the transfer window we could have 2 REALLY GOOD players that will improve us next season, i say well done moyes and bill at last you realise getting players in earlly gives us a boost and gets that feel good factor around the club COYB. Wowwww what's football come too!? Anichebe scored more goals this season than Rodellaga has scored in 18 months!
Would rather not go for players like that and just give the likes of Vellios a go next season (even he got 3 goals last season, 1 more than Rodellaga!!)
We have Jelavic, Naismith, Cahill, Vic and Vellios who can all play striker so we should turn our attentions to make sure we get Pienaar back home and get another creative player, Rodellaga pphhhaaaaaaaaaaa

If ever there was a case to show its worth trusting Kenwright to find the right owner/investor Portsmouth has to be it! Sad to see there current plight, it's always the fans that have to pay for these things.

You're right about the fans suffering, Ed025, but how many were complaining (or warning) about all the players being brought in that helped them win trophies? Then again, I suppose, why should they have. I wonder if FIFA/UEFA will really make financial fair play work to prevent clubs overspending - I suspect it will only create a small core of clubs sharing the success and rewards at the very top.

would be happy this transfer window if we kept our main stars, and sign up Stevie Pienaar and Kyle Naughton for RB as a dont see Coleman going back to the RB position. Naughton was regarded as a better prospect than Walker before spurs stole him from us. Barkley is going to be a star this season!
