I think we'll be fighting for the european places again this season i always have believed that and tbh thats about our level in modern day football!
We've had a p*ss poor season so far and hopefully we are starting to turn it around!

I've forgotton what Barklay and Rodwell are like now it's been that long since they played. If some mug club are going to offer £10 mil each, I'd say to DM "snap there bloody hands off". {Ed025's Note - they are our future mate!..10m is an insult..
Barkley and jelavic will play big roles next season as will rodwell if he stays fit

Barkley is the future of english football, never mind the future of everton.
Trust me iv'e saw this lad play on a number of occasions he is a unbelievable talent, i know most wont like me to say this but he reminds me of the way Gerrard plays when Gerrard was at his best a couple of years ago, but you can see he will be even better than Gerrard he has a lot more skill and flair.
It's obvious that unless we get investment soon we will lose him anyway in maybe 2 or 3 years but for now keep hold of him............. as for Rodwell personally i thinbk eventually he will become a top class centre half a ball playing centre half, a lot like a young Rio Ferdinand, but unless investment comes in the next 6-12 months if somebody offered us 15-20 million for him we should sell and use the money to freshen the squad more were going to need a replacement for the likes of Neville and Cahill pretty soon, if there is no investment selling Rodwell who hasn't set Goodison on fire yet and is very injury prone will be the best option in my opinion.

Bayern Munich are wanting heitinga but all talks are suggesting he wants to stay, love to see our players putting football first, he's playing really well and proper loves the club {Ed025's Note - this season he has really stepped up to the plate!...i was not his biggest fan, but hes certainly winning me over thiis year..
In fairness to heitinga in his first season playing cb he was quality. If you play players in there right posistions they tend to play better
The comments from Heitinga has been really refreshing, wants to stay and hopefully win a trophy with us. Ever since his shoulder bump on Cashley, he has been one of my favourites, I really love the attitude he shows on the pitch. And I think he is a top CB as well. {Ed001's Note - try speaking to him on Twitter, he is one of very few that will reply and chat to people. I like the lad anyway, but I think he shows a decency and respect for people that very few professional footballers do. I have met League Two players and managers who have more arrogance than him, it is refreshing.}

Ed what do you think the chances are of LD staying on untill end of the season, what with the FA cup still a possibility ? Blue Andy {Ed025's Note - the chances of him staying andy....is 0 mate, hes a big family man, and they love LA, but he will be a big miss..
Everyone is feeling good and making jokes. Yak couldn't find the ball or the net and Saha couldn't be bothered to care. On other teams though its like magic they turn into scoring machines. Blues must just unlucky eh? Or maybe its somethin else. When did the tide start turning? Oh maybe about when Donovan started playing. How many goals will we score or better asked how will the opportunities be created? We have Dennis not Saha or Yak. Dennis going to create goals, Jesus Christ no. Like Saturday's late goal Donovan laid it on a silver platter and Dennis (good love him, no kidding) bangs off Cech's hand into the goal. Worried about some forward creative forces next month.

stracq is just amazing.I really do hope we sign him on the permanent.While not the most technically gifted player - he gives 150% when putting on the Royal Blue jersey, and that's just great imo. We haven't had a good work-rate striker in a while, and he seems to fit the lone-striker role very well - putting the pressure on defenses and bringing others in to play very well

Hiya ed, great win on saturday and some great performances from Donovan, Pienaar, Fellaini and Straqualersui.
My concern is 3 of the players iv'e mentioned are on loan.
If there is no investment in the summer can we afford Pienaar ? I'd imagine spurs will still want 4-5 million for him, obviously Donovan for all the love he has for everton he clearly loves the LA sunshine more !
Out of the 3 we can afford Straqualersui iv'e heard he will cost less than a million ??
That leaves are over creative, skillful player (Drenthe) will he want to sign ? and could we afford his wages ? We all know Moyes isn't going to pay a player 80 grand a week who can't defend or track back ! Not a chance !
What are your thoughts ed and out of the loans (Pienaar, Straq, Drenthe and Dononvan) who would you like to see and who do you think everton will want full time ?

I think Pienaar will want to stay at everton regardless of who is in charge at Spurs, he wants to be at everton in my opinion and who's saying we couldn't get him on a season long loan again next season and then come the summer he would surely be available for around 2 mill-2.5 mill {Ed025's Note - i think your right about him wanting to stay...i just hope they dont want too much for him..
Is there not usually an option to buy included in most loan agreements? So the money needed to buy Pienaar would already be known to Everton? Or was that not included in this instance?
