Barkley is going to be an elite player in a few years time, would imagine that he might get a few mins here and there (depending on injuries might get an odd start) as central midfield is our strongest position and with Arteta/Fellaini it is going to be hard to displace either.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Moyes loves nothing more than a CM out wide which is where I expect he'll be played for a while yet when he does play

Agree0 Disagree0

Barkley and gueye will get goodison buzzing this season and beckford is going to be even better as well this season. Plenty to look forward to blues. COYB {Ed025's Note - thats the spirit..

Agree0 Disagree0

Its great to here some optimism, we will challenge spurs for 6th this season {Ed025's Note - i hope you right my friend,,

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford will get 15 this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

A good start is crucial and we need to try and stay clear of our annual injury crisis and we always finish strong, so if we are in the top 8 in January i would fancy us nicking a european place

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope we get a run of games out of saha this season. He is great when we can get him out on the pitch {Ed025's Note - yes hes quality mate...its only his fitness..

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford is no good up front alone Moyes tends to play 1 up front ..

I think we have showed our ambition this summer by keeping hold of our best players, unlike villa, sunderland and arsenal. We all expected to possibly sell Yak, Yobo and some other fringe players, but personally I expected one big name player to leave to help fund David Moyes's plans to freshen things up.
I expected at least one of Jags, Rodwell, Fellaini or Baines to go, but they've all stayed so far and we've seen the emergence of Barkley who will add some youthful enthusiasm to the midfield.
If we sign vicente on a free and a quality striker on loan, it will have been a successful summer for me.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

We have done well to keep hold of the squad. Just treading water costs money these days. Just frustrating that we are literally just one or two players away from being a top 6 side in my view. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Vicente would be a good signing. He has looked quality when i have seen him play. He would be great out wide for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Vicente on a free, sturridge on loan, would be fantastic if it happened.

Ashley Ward will join the blues in the next few days as player/coach. Moyes has brought him in to ensure he has enough numbers in attack heading into the new season and Ashley can bring the experience the team needs. {Ed025's Note - go away...you stupid boy!!!!

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Apparantly kenny has already made a move for him after seeing the two donkeys he played up front today. Knowing kenny the bid will be around 20 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't post it then, Ed. Simple. {Ed025's Note - just wanted to show how sad some people are.....i do usually delete!..

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2011 23:16:39
Moyes was at the wolves match... Please let this be to watch jarvis.other than sturrige he is the player iv wanted to sign most (realisticly) {Ed025's Note - he would do for me!..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I have always rated matt jarvis, he would be a good signing, but it would be a great coup to get sturridge on loan {Ed025's Note - would,nt it just..

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes was probably just watching Blackburn because we play them the week after next. {Ed025's Note - quite possibly..

FA Premier League All Time Table
I folks, just seen this table for the Premier League from 1992/93 - 2010/11 season.
Everton are seventh in the table. A few tidbits;
Everton need to score 76 goals to get 1,000 premier league goals
Everton need 22 points to become part of the 1,000 point clubs

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Top 7 aye I remember when we were one of the big 5 {Ed025's Note - in 1985 and 1987...i remember...we were the big 1..

Agree0 Disagree0

Arent we top of the league in the `since the league started` league?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who'd have thought that... on average, we're average. {Ed025's Note - 4th in the all time records.....way above average..

Agree0 Disagree0

just seem QPR on motd there think we should make a good start and take a handy 3 points off them any disagree? {Ed025's Note - not from me...we will win 2-0.....and they dont call me mystic ed,for nothing..

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Just hope we dont start with a 451 formation

Agree0 Disagree0

Have some faith easy home win 3 nil beckford cahill and a billy special

Agree0 Disagree0

Billys banned lad

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with ed, 2-0, beckford to get off to a goalscoring start

Agree0 Disagree0

I watched QPR in pre season play plymouth and they took 90 minutes to score a goal, very poor going forward,at the back even worse, paddy kenny looks asif he had eaten the team bus,i joke not the ground moved when he dives, total rubish, they may make a new all time low points total this season,i think derby hold that record but cant be sure,COYB

Yakubu, Yobo and Vic hopefully gone
source - l`pool Echo. got chased out the shop so couldnt read the whole article, basically, yobo to fenerbache for not quite the 6mil we negotiated. some Turkish team are interested in ayegbenie yakubu and Leicester are sniffing around Big Vic. i`d be chuffed to me little cotton socks if this lot happened. {Ed025's Note - so would i mate....now go and BUY the echo, and stop being a minge bag..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I'd get rid of all 3 personally, wether Moyesy will is another matter. Sure, he wants to sell Yobo and Yak but i doubt he'd consider selling Big Vic, but f*** knows why not, for me i cant see him offering us anything of any significance in the years to come, either upfront or on the wing.
I think we might give in to Fenerbache and accept there £3m bid that was on the table for Yobo, and we'd be lucky to get that for Yak aswell, we'd probs get more from Leicester but i dont think he wants to drop down a division, hence why he hasnt gone there already. And apparently Leicester had set there sights on Anichebe instead for just over 3 mill and i'd sell for that.
If we could get something like £9m for them 3 at this stage and then be able to buy a striker and get someone like Pedro Leon on loan and possibly someone else aswell (god knows who off the top of my head?), then with what time is left of the window, i think we'll of done well, considering it looks like we wont sign anyone at this point in time.
If, and its a big IF, we could get rid of those 3 and be able to sign a couple of players ourselves, then great, but as it stands now, i dont think we'll sign anyone, and will be lucky to offload just Yobo atm. {Ed025's Note - are you sure this is not me writing this?...i agree 100% with everything you say....well done mate, great post..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be delighted with £8m for the pair. Don't think we'll get quite that much though. Would like to see us go for Matty Jarvis. {Ed025's Note - me too..

Agree0 Disagree0

Three badly gash players off the book in one go for a combined £10m would be superb business by Everton {Ed025's Note - miracle you mean..

Agree0 Disagree0

We should of got rid of vic to hull a few years back, another shrewed move by our club no-one wants yak coz he is like 43 now and yobo is a dope {Ed025's Note - thanks..you must be the cultural attache to nigeria..lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry cant see vic going
i think moyes just likes him
i can see the yak go to the foxes as they were pants today

Agree0 Disagree0

If we can sell someone then I think we will buy someone, using the Vaughan/Pienaar fees in tandem with whatever we get for said someone.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is Yobo badly gash?
Plus I love the Yak ffs. How dare you?
And Anichebe? Well... yeah, okay. {Ed025's Note - you are looking through rose tinted glasses my friend..

Agree0 Disagree0

----fox---

After seein the Newcastle game we got out of jail with Ba he was worse than hopeless... {Ed025's Note - i never fancied him from the start..

Believable4 Unbelievable0

He has injury problems as well, the last thing we needed was an injury prone player

Agree0 Disagree0

Foxy..... you got something right :) {Ed025's Note - hallelujah..

my best everton team (everyone available)

howard
neville jags distin baines coleman fellaini arteta
cahill
saha yakubu

bench- bily, barkley, mucha, osman
beckford, rodwell, gueye, heitinga

we should sell rodwell (completely overated)
get rid of hibbert. {Ed025's Note -

Believable1 Unbelievable1

What kind of mystical formation is this?, 712?

Agree0 Disagree0

Switch osman for yakubu, hes a lazy t*at. Drop osman to CM, move cahill up with saha and move arteta to the left.

Howard
Neville Jagielka Distin Baines
Coleman Osman Fellaini Arteta
Cahill Saha.

Now we're talking.. {Ed025's Note - better..

Agree0 Disagree0

Deffo dont rid of hibbert he is a loyal and hard working player so you mate dont know anything about everton, you sound like a liverpool surrporter, yak is worse than beckford so yoou know nothing and your off your head, you should look up at are history and learn abit before you start posting

Agree0 Disagree0

Hibbert is a good, never say die defender who will always have a place at the blues while moyes is in charge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Howard
Neville, Jagielka, Distin, Baines,
Coleman, Osman, Fellaini, Arteta,
Saha, Beckford.

I think moyes should start using cahill from the bench as an impact player bit like we did with big dunc in 2006. Bring him to cause havoc in the box if were in need of a goal.
What do you think fellow blues, don't mind if you disagree ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Osman has to start aginst QPR, he was awesome in the second half of last season and deserves to keep his place, i would start with barkley, i have seen enough of him to see he deserves a chance {Ed025's Note - that would work for me..

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2011 17:32:52
Vincente will be in for the qpr game should have a medical on tuesday not match fit so on the bench Thank god we didn't get k dyer out for the season poor lad

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Please let this be true

Agree0 Disagree0

Vincente has always looked a decent player when i have seen him play.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2011 17:29:44
I hope barkley and gueye get a reasonable chance this season as i feel these two lads are ready for the step up, it may give moyes a headache in terms of selection as we have loads of midfielders, but me personally i would let barkley start against qpr, helooks calm and composed and ready to make an impact

Believable2 Unbelievable0

13 Aug 2011 17:16:37
Just been on to the sh**e page...good its funny .1 game and all their signings are crap ,their manager is playing people out of position.King Kenny did that last time he was there..welcome to the real world

Believable4 Unbelievable0

13 Aug 2011 16:44:31
QPR losing 4-0 to Bolton currently at HOME, surely we can beat them at Goodison, knowing us, no.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Our home form was great in the second half of last season and we will be too strong for Qpr. 3-1 to the blues

I have to admit it took me along time to come around to phil neville ,but he is a great captain and i see him as a player david moyes sees as a leader on and off the pitch , i think he would be great manager ,maybe a stint as a reserve or asst manager in the next couple of years ,i think he is a player who will be at the this club for a long time , what i really dont want is him to leave and become player manager at bury or oldham and never given a chance ,at least if he stays at everton he will get his chance . {Ed025's Note - i must admit, when he first came, i was not his biggest fan, but now i think he will go down as one of the greats..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Phil is a great leader and has recently spoke of his desire to keep playing for a few more years, but with our upcoming youngers pushing for first team places, it's possible he may get less game time. Although with our injury record and nevilles versatility im sure he'll be a big player for everton, this season at least.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was thinking this myself but if he's thinking about management he's not doing himself any favors being on twitter. I couldn't imagine a premier league manager tweeting. He's got to give that up fast and start presenting himself as management material first. For that reason, I don't think he has any intention of managing or coaching for a couple of years yet. Maybe he's right, just enjoy playing while it lasts.

Agree0 Disagree0

I want a Big Dunc / Pip management duo. That would be epic.

reading alan stubbs article on the website makes me believe the chances of anyone coming in are very remote as he makes referen ce to the youngsters sepping up this season, so i think we will see more of barkley, vellios and baxter {Ed025's Note - i just hope, that if we use the young lads, the supporters give them the support they deserve, and dont moan and groan if they are not having a good game, we must realise that they are being thrown in at the deep end, its unfair to expect them to become stars overnight, so i ask you all to be patient....they are only kids..

Believable6 Unbelievable0

The youngsters look impressive and if we can get arteta and coleman back fit soon i think we can challenge spurs for 6th place this season

Agree0 Disagree0

It will be exciting watching barkley break through this season, he will fit in our team well

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we have a very good balance of youngsters and experience this season, i think we will have a good season, especially if we can get a striker on loan {Ed025's Note - if..

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2011 08:39:56
We won't make any major signings this summer as we simply have no money whatsoever. {Ed025's Note - i believe you..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

A couple of players in on loan and we will be sorted. Moyes is shrewd and he will get it right

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need any major signings, a quality striker on loan and we will be knocking on the door of the top 6. Moyes always gets it right {Ed025's Note - he has up to now!, but all good things come to an end...lets hope it lasts a while longer..

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Sell Rodwell 2 spurs for about 10 million + defoe
Sell Yobo to fenebache for 3 m
Sell Yakubu 2 someone for 4m
Sell Heitinga 2 dutch team for 8 m
Total = 25 million = happy bank and a top striker signed

Agree0 Disagree0

Defoe would be great for us and we could sacrifice a midfielder to get him, krancjcar would be a great option on loan as well

Everyone who is hating on Kenwright I firmly believe that he is trying to find the perfect owner for our club so it won't be ruined like for example Blackburn with Venky's. HE'S LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT BUYER

Believable8 Unbelievable7

Hes been looking too long

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenwright is a good man, but it is time for him to move on

Evrton desperate to offload any of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov Yobo Yakubu Heitinga and Rodwell these are players Moyes believes he has cover for.Money needed for Striker Crouch or Wellbeck. Moyes still fuming about loosing charles nzogbia and still may walk

12 Aug 2011 22:57:26
everton to use money from yobo deal on Barton(free) or Pedro Leon (loan deal) wages.

no strikers will be brought in as moyes has faith in saha and beckford, also he will give one last chance to yakubu.

Also Vellios will be given a larger role to play as the season moves on, along with mcaleny.
