Barkley is going to be an elite player in a few years time, would imagine that he might get a few mins here and there (depending on injuries might get an odd start) as central midfield is our strongest position and with Arteta/Fellaini it is going to be hard to displace either.

Moyes loves nothing more than a CM out wide which is where I expect he'll be played for a while yet when he does play

Barkley and gueye will get goodison buzzing this season and beckford is going to be even better as well this season. Plenty to look forward to blues. COYB {Ed025's Note - thats the spirit..

Its great to here some optimism, we will challenge spurs for 6th this season {Ed025's Note - i hope you right my friend,,

Beckford will get 15 this season.

A good start is crucial and we need to try and stay clear of our annual injury crisis and we always finish strong, so if we are in the top 8 in January i would fancy us nicking a european place

Lets hope we get a run of games out of saha this season. He is great when we can get him out on the pitch {Ed025's Note - yes hes quality mate...its only his fitness..

Beckford is no good up front alone Moyes tends to play 1 up front ..

Ashley Ward will join the blues in the next few days as player/coach. Moyes has brought him in to ensure he has enough numbers in attack heading into the new season and Ashley can bring the experience the team needs. {Ed025's Note - go away...you stupid boy!!!!

Apparantly kenny has already made a move for him after seeing the two donkeys he played up front today. Knowing kenny the bid will be around 20 million

I folks, just seen this table for the Premier League from 1992/93 - 2010/11 season.
Everton are seventh in the table. A few tidbits;
Everton need to score 76 goals to get 1,000 premier league goals
Everton need 22 points to become part of the 1,000 point clubs

Top 7 aye I remember when we were one of the big 5 {Ed025's Note - in 1985 and 1987...i remember...we were the big 1..

Arent we top of the league in the `since the league started` league?

Who'd have thought that... on average, we're average. {Ed025's Note - 4th in the all time records.....way above average..

Yakubu, Yobo and Vic hopefully gone
source - l`pool Echo. got chased out the shop so couldnt read the whole article, basically, yobo to fenerbache for not quite the 6mil we negotiated. some Turkish team are interested in ayegbenie yakubu and Leicester are sniffing around Big Vic. i`d be chuffed to me little cotton socks if this lot happened. {Ed025's Note - so would i mate....now go and BUY the echo, and stop being a minge bag..

I'd get rid of all 3 personally, wether Moyesy will is another matter. Sure, he wants to sell Yobo and Yak but i doubt he'd consider selling Big Vic, but f*** knows why not, for me i cant see him offering us anything of any significance in the years to come, either upfront or on the wing.
I think we might give in to Fenerbache and accept there £3m bid that was on the table for Yobo, and we'd be lucky to get that for Yak aswell, we'd probs get more from Leicester but i dont think he wants to drop down a division, hence why he hasnt gone there already. And apparently Leicester had set there sights on Anichebe instead for just over 3 mill and i'd sell for that.
If we could get something like £9m for them 3 at this stage and then be able to buy a striker and get someone like Pedro Leon on loan and possibly someone else aswell (god knows who off the top of my head?), then with what time is left of the window, i think we'll of done well, considering it looks like we wont sign anyone at this point in time.
If, and its a big IF, we could get rid of those 3 and be able to sign a couple of players ourselves, then great, but as it stands now, i dont think we'll sign anyone, and will be lucky to offload just Yobo atm. {Ed025's Note - are you sure this is not me writing this?...i agree 100% with everything you say....well done mate, great post..

Switch osman for yakubu, hes a lazy t*at. Drop osman to CM, move cahill up with saha and move arteta to the left.

Deffo dont rid of hibbert he is a loyal and hard working player so you mate dont know anything about everton, you sound like a liverpool surrporter, yak is worse than beckford so yoou know nothing and your off your head, you should look up at are history and learn abit before you start posting

Hibbert is a good, never say die defender who will always have a place at the blues while moyes is in charge.

I think moyes should start using cahill from the bench as an impact player bit like we did with big dunc in 2006. Bring him to cause havoc in the box if were in need of a goal.

Osman has to start aginst QPR, he was awesome in the second half of last season and deserves to keep his place, i would start with barkley, i have seen enough of him to see he deserves a chance {Ed025's Note - that would work for me..

I hope barkley and gueye get a reasonable chance this season as i feel these two lads are ready for the step up, it may give moyes a headache in terms of selection as we have loads of midfielders, but me personally i would let barkley start against qpr, helooks calm and composed and ready to make an impact

QPR losing 4-0 to Bolton currently at HOME, surely we can beat them at Goodison, knowing us, no.

Our home form was great in the second half of last season and we will be too strong for Qpr. 3-1 to the blues

reading alan stubbs article on the website makes me believe the chances of anyone coming in are very remote as he makes referen ce to the youngsters sepping up this season, so i think we will see more of barkley, vellios and baxter {Ed025's Note - i just hope, that if we use the young lads, the supporters give them the support they deserve, and dont moan and groan if they are not having a good game, we must realise that they are being thrown in at the deep end, its unfair to expect them to become stars overnight, so i ask you all to be patient....they are only kids..

The youngsters look impressive and if we can get arteta and coleman back fit soon i think we can challenge spurs for 6th place this season

It will be exciting watching barkley break through this season, he will fit in our team well

I think we have a very good balance of youngsters and experience this season, i think we will have a good season, especially if we can get a striker on loan {Ed025's Note - if..

everton to use money from yobo deal on Barton(free) or Pedro Leon (loan deal) wages.

no strikers will be brought in as moyes has faith in saha and beckford, also he will give one last chance to yakubu.

Also Vellios will be given a larger role to play as the season moves on, along with mcaleny.
