I could understand if we lost with a youthful experimental team but with an almost full strength first 11 we should be maintaining some consistency. still you have to remain positive or else the frustration from the fans will have performances back to the level after the first derby.
Gonna be an interesting few months.

Sadly Silva has not tried out a single youngster this season yet our U23's are about to become prem2 champions. This is a very very big black mark against Silva, he really is just not up to the job.

DC, have you not seen the average age of our squad this season? It has come down considerably from the last few years. How often do you watch the U23's? How many of them are really ready for first team exposure? Can you name any of them? If they get a chance and play badly, would you be on their case for having a bad game?
I agree with Smit further down this page, everyone of us has the right to praise or criticise the team and manager, we are all fans after all, but don't just slate them for the sake of slating them when things don't go well. Where were you during the three games we won? Didn't see much praise from yourself or the other few that continually like to moan and groan during those games. To say Silva is not up for the job because he hasn't blooded the kids is another crazy statement mate. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't eh?

I think what DC is saying Bluepotato, and correct me because I might have got it wrong is, he is not happy because Silva hasn't got us in 7th place using a couple or 3 of the U23 squad.
He doesn't think he is up to the job.
He's not happy with winning more away games than we have for a long time. He's not happy making some of the top 6 teams look very ordinary. He's not happy having an attacking youthful team that is being built up. He isn't happy that Silva is building a team that will play modern football and try and challenge for the top 6 again.
Like I said. I might be wrong but I think that's what he is getting at.

The under 23s are on the verge of winning the title, once that is out of the way, maybe Silva will try a couple of the youngsters.

If we pick a couple then they struggle stepping up to the first team and weaken the u23 squad as well, he will get flak.

Calvert Lewin, Barkley, Stones, Davies, all have had their fair share of the wrath at Goodison when pushed into the first team

Let these youngsters bide their time, chances will come.

We have already tried moving Sims up from the under 18s to the u23s with little success.

Once we tie up the title with the u23s then maybe a couple might get a run out against Burnley.

Let’s not forget, Unsworth tried this in the dead rubber Europa league and got spanked 5-1 and the chance to have a longer stint as caretaker manager.

Nothing to say.

The defense was shambolic. The transition through the midfield was erratic. The forwards ran the ball down closed corridors and hit a wall. Defending set pieces was nonsensical.

Yes my U-10 team lost 5-2. Still, the kids had fun and no one hollered about firing the volunteer manager.

Oh, did Everton have a match today?

Bluegray87. Much as I fear it, on todays showing, we are in for many days like this. Until reality hits the board, it is looking more and more likely next Season will be a struggle to stay top half.

Well what do you expect Smit. Leicester lost, Wolves lost and we are playing a already relegated team who had only won four times all season. We blew it big time and it happens all too often. Why play Jagielka when Keane is over his illness? Not sure what the answer is to this inconsistency but Silva better come up with some answers before next season.

One game in how many? Do you expect to win every game? Did Jags not deserve to get another game after coming in at the last minute and scoring what proved to be the winner? One game, one loss and some of you can't wait to slaughter all and sundry. Ridiculous to the extreme.

No but I expect to win against a reigned team that has only won four games all season. Jags did very well against Arsenal but he is not our first pick center-half. We should be aiming at beating teams like Fulham and it is not the first time we have lost points against teams at the bottom end of the league. Read some of my posts, I have not been negative or slaughtered anyone but this time I believe criticism is warranted.

Although we were far from good today, Silva stuck to a winning team, Fulham already relegated had no pressure whatsoever on them.

Yes we were poor, but Fulham got stuck in, closed everything down and have what we do not have, a class centre forward whonotonly bossed our penalty area, he went looking for the ball as well.

Bad as we were today, I thought Fulham deserve credit from the first minute, right up to the final whistle.

Mitravic showed today how to out. muscle defenders, been saying it since last season, Mitrovic is the sort of striker who could not only bring something to our final third, but also bring Calvert on leaps and bounds, just like Grey did with Sharp.

I have no issue with fans criticising bad performances.
As long as they equally congratulate the team when we win.

What I don't like though is fans who call for the managers head after a bad performance.
We have had a good run but we still need to be patient with this squad.
Consistency comes with time, something they have not had yet.
