Just want to add one more comment ed about Arsene Whinger. The loan system is fair he can also profit by getting loaners for his own team. Tell him to shove up you know where.

{Ed025's Note - hes a great manager EB, but like many others, he can be a right pain in the ass at times..

They just want football to be all sewn up so that only 4 or 5 teams ever win anything
Man utd Liverpool arsenal man city Chelsea -they hate it when anyone else gets close to disrupting their little cartel

They want it all to be about money

Guys I know I've posted this before regarding Danny Ings but with Jay Rodriguez getting injured last week, I hear that Southampton are preparing a bid for him this summer. A mate of mine who is a season ticket holder at AFC Bournemouth was talking recently about what a player he was that they produced from their youth academy. He is going to take the Premiership by storm next season whether he stays at Burnley or whether he moves. He's recently back from a slight injury but has already scored 20 goals in the Championship at Turf Moor. I would hate us to lose him to Southampton (or indeed anyone else). Roberto please get that cheque book out before we lose him to a rival.

With Hull looking like there going through to the cup final do you think they will play a weakened team against Arsenal in the league cause there safe now in the league and probably don't want to give too much away cause I really think there a side that could beat Arsenal.I just hope they don't.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think they are more likely to rest the players against us in there last home game because the final will be played 6 days later so hopefully arsenal will field. Weakens team on the last day too

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Eddy. Bruce will be eyeing up his players between now and the end of the season. His players will be playing for their Cup places but may have one eye on Wembley in the final game to avoid injury and with nothing to play for in the League.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bruce may rest a couple of players against us as has been stated its 6 days before the final. Hull will still have a strong side out against us as Jelavic and Long are cup tied so that's two we will are sure to face . Against Aresenal I would expect Bruce to play his strongest team as a they will be playing for there places with the two lads cup tied positions up for grabs. Anyways we should not worry what Arsenal do its in our hands so we only need to worry what we do. COYB.

Hi Ed, could you explain the situation with Gareth Barry. He's had 9 yellows for the season, but because he didn't pick one up at sunderland he's unaffected by it now. How does this work? Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - the yellow card build up runs out after a certain amount of games i believe QB, then the slate is wiped clean, well thats what im told mate, maybe other guys can give us more information..

I understand the following to be the rules.
"If a player accumulates five cautions between the opening day of the playing season and 31 December in the same season, he will be suspended automatically for one match.
If a player accumulates ten cautions between the opening day of the playing season and the second Sunday of April in the same season, he will be suspended automatically for two matches.
If a player accumulates fifteen cautions between the opening day of the playing season and the last day of the same season, he will be suspended automatically for three matches.
If a player then accumulates a further five cautions then he will be hauled before the regulatory commission, within seven days of the date of the last caution. The members of a regulatory commission will have the power to deal with the player in such manner as they deem fit. The same procedure will apply for every further five cautions received by that player."
Simples ;-)

Okay, that makes sense now. Cheers guys :)

Just read the article regarding the potential ground move in the Echo. on the whole a very positive article and great news on top of what has already been a great season. That is until the head of the Everton Fc Shareholders association comes on and starts harping on about we can't afford this. we can't afford that. we need to re-develop Goodison!I don't know how many times people have to be told that Goodison can't be re-developed and that even if it could then it couldn't be done to a high enough specification to make us any money. I understand there has to be caution if the council are helping out but if the deal will benefit both parties I don't see the problem. If we have a new stadium which then brings a genuine buyer out of the woodwork then it's all good.

Unless this particular shareholder owns the chippy on Goodison Rd of course. Then I fully understand why he wants us to stay!

Rant over. Haha!

As much as I love goodison stu just like others, there is no better ground in the country for atmosphere when we need it, and it will be heartbreaking to leave the old lady with all the history and memories not least my first ever game my arl fella took me to, the 8 nil thrashing of southampton in 1970, but yes we are desperate for a new stadium, you only have to witness the carry on each half time watching people bursting for a p*ss standing in a three deep queue just trying to relieve themselves.or shooting down two minutes early to beat the rush for a half time pint and a sausage roll for the kids to be standing in a queue of a hundred people, and by the time you make it to the counter the second half has just started to be told we can't serve you alcohol and we've got no sausage rolls.I love the place but we've got to move with the times. Everything is all about the corperate side of things now to make money and sadly goodison seriously lacks in that department imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Av said the same thing for years as much as I'd hate to leave you have to move with the times, you only have to go emirates or wembley to see how far behind we are, investment wise were in a catch 22

Roberto Martinez replying to Ben Sheperd`s question about the "Loan market" being unfair and Arsene Venger being most vocal about it.
"If you take a team who spends £100 million in the transfer market and compare it to a team who cannot spend that type of money, then is that unfair? You don`t feel sorry for yourselves you just be creative in the loan market".
Made me laugh. This man continues to impress me every time I hear him speak, he exudes calm professionalism combined with a humble confidence.
You really can`t help that smile spreading across your face when you see him give an interview/appear on telly, you think, "We are safe in your hands". I think we have acquired the most important piece of the jigsaw required for a team challenging for the top regularly, we now need to let him complete the puzzle. Onward and upward, the futures looking bright the futures looking BLUE.

I'd just like to say how impressed I've been with John Stones. He's really grown in stature over his appearances this season and reads the game so well. The ball he put through for Delafaou in the first half yesterday was world class, not to mention his goal line clearance after Baines accidentally played their player through was top drawer. Moyes may have turned out to be a complete bell in the end but he had an eye for class defenders. How long before Stones is also being touted with a move away to `further his career`?
Here's to CL football next season.

I agree mate, he was getting a few digs in his first couple of games but obviously that was nerves, going to be top class

It was also speculated last week that Arsenal where coming for him, the tabloids love selling our players for us, I say let Bobby tell us who is going and who is staying, believe nothing until he talks

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but Stones was not found by moyes it was Colin Harvey scouting for Bolton who told Kevin Sheedy about him well you know the rest even Roberto said if Stones had gone somewhere else he would have signed him once he got the Everton job

Agree0 Disagree0

In my view he is a future England captain. I was impressed with Smalling and Jones at Manchester United when they were first signed. They were both physical giants and had some ability on the ball. However, Stones is already a class above them and wants to play football in the Bobby Moore way. Or even Howard Kendall when he moved into defence. This boy will have everyone from Barcelona to AC Milan after him soon. We will do extremely well to get him on a long term contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

But we must Degsy. JS is class and already a top player. We need him to commit to the club before the vultures start to circle. Sign him up on a long deal with increased wages to reward him for the tremendous he's made this season. Jags is going to have one hell of a fight on his hands to regain his place in the team alongside Distin.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's been good but does panic on the ball when the opposition is pressing, but that will develop with time

For those living the dream with RM -you are! Where we are, what has been done, succesive wins that matches the last time we won the league, more points than we have ever won in the EPL.
