Does anyone know how I would go about getting tickets with the away fans for the Brighton away game on 29th December. I live in Brighton and am not a season ticket holder, nor do I regularly attend either home or away games. I've been up to Goodison once this season so far and am travelling up on the 24th for the Cardiff game. I can grab a ticket in with the home fans from 9am tomorrow (I think) but would rather be surrounded by the travelling blues. Anyone able to buy tickets but doesn't want to go? Any other way to secure tickets?

Years ago my mate who also supported Everton lived in Southampton. He used to get tickets via ESCLA. You could try them.

Managed to get a couple of tickets for me and my boy just across the aisle from the Everton fans - we're in a "home" section but will be standing alongside the travelling fans. Looking forward to it!

Made up for Keane thus season. Had to take a fair bit of flack for last season's performances, but has come back stronger. Been thinking though, last season he was often stuck in no man's land, due to having his own position to cover, helping out Cuco on the left and having to try and mop up after Williams pace was exposed. This year, with better defenders around him, he's starting to look like what we thought we'd originally bought.

{Ed025's Note - very much so kingo..

Not only Keane but all the backs are now settled in, even Pickford has turned it round it says a lot when as good as what they are we've got Baines and Jags on the bench it's just a shame we've got no one this weekend.

Who do we pick next match that is the quandry. Keane does not deserve it but I would like to see Zouma and Mina or how about a three man defence of Keane Mina and Zouma. Glad I am not the coach/ manager.

billscrocodiletears, I have been asking that very same question. Oh what a dilema. isn't it just awful that we now have this problem of who to pick because all the others are playing so well. rather than last season when I seriously considered getting my one legged Gran a crutch to see if she was better than some of our squad!

That’s why managers get big bucks. Tough decision to make.

Totally agree with you, kingo. It must have been hard for him last season knowing that Williams was a liability, Martina was a poor rb and even worse on the left, as well as having a premier league novice in Kenny along side him. The lack of confidence throughout the team wouldn't have helped, nor the dour brand of football that the then manager had us playing.
He deserves his call up for the national side and I'd keep the same two cb's from the last game. Nothing against Zouma, he's been playing well, but the other two are our own players and they need game time together to gel. As a lot of you say, it's a good problem to have.

I think keeping a clean sheet against Chelsea means you keep same defence. Think if you perform then you keep your place.
On that note - Lookman should come in for Bernard - players should realise the heat is on and a lot of pressure to keep the shirt.
If Sig injured for Cardiff? Richarlison and Tosin - I would like to see a bit of Dowell also.

If we can start going to the top teams and come away with something, then in my book that's a big improvement on last season, we are now a very good team, we still need some strengthening, but it's all looking positive, Saturdays are something to look forward to again.

{Ed025's Note - i agree with all of that simon..

If anyone has any doubts. headline on SkySports: Gylfi Siggurdson was pictured leaving Stamford Bridge with his foot in a cast after the star picked up an unknown knock! . seriously. and I am not joking!

{Ed025's Note - lets hope thats just precautionary degsy..

Red card tackle all the way even worse when you slow it down and also deliberate in my view the bloke was miffed.

My comment was referring to Sky Sports stating an "unknown knock". Are their reporters deaf as well as blind?

They weren’t watching their own coverage obviously. Just a bunch of muppets to be honest.

It was very pleasing to see Silva get such a resilient defensively solid performance from the team. We are playing much better attacking attractive fluid football but this part of the game is important. I've read posts and replies on here and agree that a few tweaks are needed with Walcott probably losing his place and being in need of a striker. Great performance. The game was a bit dark tbh.

The team is developing into Silva's team. Players are being replaced one by one. It is quite an achievement to think that we started off with 5 new signings of whom I think 4 were injured? We started the season playing attractive football but were leaking goals. That included a defence that was already here. ie Baines, Coleman, Holegate and Keane. From that only Keane and Coleman remain. I suspect Zouma may replace Keane too? Mina was brought in to add height and stability to a leaking defence and against Hazard etc performed very well I thought. He should also chip in with goals from set pieces. Something we have lacked. As long as we can keep Siggy fit and playing to this standard and keep the spine of the team similar we should climb at least a few places.

{Ed025's Note - at the moment keane deserves his place in the side degsy, we have 3 players who look very good at the moment at CB which is a million miles from where we were last season, and we still have ashley williams to come back (hahaha), if we can get a quality goalscorer and make gomes permanent then for me we are good to go mate, but im very happy the way we are progressing and its very enjoyable being a blue at the moment..

I agree. It’s going to be tough keeping Kenny, Baines, Davies, Dowell, JMac, Scinderlin, lookman, naisse, DCL, Toson happy however
We have a squad for Europe - this would aid rotation - hopefully the players can see that.

Nice decisions to have though.

Message for Big Sam - you can be defensively solid and well organised without playing huff it football. Appreciate your help last season but we want more and are capable of it. Just stop moaning about the past and enjoy your retirement/ next payday.

Jorginho should've got a straight red.
Thought so today and just watched it again on MOTD and it was definitely a red card.
Alonso was lucky to still be on the pitch and K Friend should not referee a big game ever again.
It's a compliment to us though that Chelsea resorted to kicking us off the pitch rather than playing.
The protection hazzard is receiving is diabolical. Poor finishing and control let us down today and I thought we were well capable of getting 3 points.
Massive improvement and I think this game will be a turning point for us.
Defensively we were the best I've seen in a long long time. I still think there is something missing, possibly the need to drop Walcott and bring in lookman for a few games.
Walcott was ineffective and his lack of control let us down a few times today.
Mina was faultless apart from the morrata incident.
I thought Gomes disappeared for a while but I know he isn't fully fit same as Bernard who I thought was unlucky not to score and then he totally messed up later on but I think he could do a job more central.
Richarlison looked a bit lost but I also think we didn't look as fluid going forward.
I'm happy because the last few fixtures at Chelsea have been embarrassing so for me this is excellent progress.
This is just my personal opinion and overall I am happy but still feel like we could've took all 3 points today.

If K Friend doesn't ref a match again then we would have to put up with J Moss even more. And that is a more worrying thought.
