Question for all of us, do you think Juaio Silva will get a look in next season? He's had more first team football this season out on loan than the likes of Barkley, Coleman, McAleny and probably even Rodwell have got at Goodison. That's 2 seasons out on loan and he's 21 now I think, so I highly doubt Moyes will send him out next season. Anybody seen any of him? I personally can see him on the bench next season, with Vellios taking his role out on loan (which can only be great for him).
On the other hand I'm quite excited for next season (get the feeling that if we get Pienaar at the very least, we're having a good start finally) as I expect to see Barkley coming through in a big way as well as Vellios (possibly the new Straq off the bench even though I think he's better than Straq) and possibly Silva and can see that new free agent kid, Junior Costa (?) making a late break in.

I totally agree Ste, if we only managed to get Peanuts I would be happy enough as long as we didnt sell any major talent

Hiya Steve iv'e heard he is leaving at the end of the season. He hasn't settled in England and wants to move back home.
Don't know if it's true but i'm sure i read it ages ago, maybe in the Echo.
Anyone know if this is true?

I heard hes leaving as well off to Greece or back to Portugal I think shame really he has talent

The Team I'd like to see next season, and one that is sort of likely/viable (not that it will happen though):

Howard

Baines, Heitinga, Distin/Jagielka, Coleman (hopefully he fits back as am RB/RWB)

Pienaar (new number 10), Osman/Gibson, Fellaini, Donovan/Jarvis

Dempsey

Jelavic

Subs: Barkley, Vellios, Cahill, Neville/Hibbert, Osman/Gibson

i like the look of james mccarty,hes goin to be a top player,hes like a young steven gerrard and he would be great buy and hes only young,true blue,efc 4 life

Totally agree he's a top player...why did moyes not get him when he went for 2mill .....thought he new the Scottish market......tristen {Ed025's Note - i think we missed out big time tris..

Wel wigan was a good move at the time,he was only a boy but i would put my house on the lad been a top top player,only downside is he wil be expensive,true blue,efc 4 life

I would love him at Everton, but I'd be surprised if the top 4 clubs arn't also looking at him

My sister works at Manchester airport,she told me he came over last month,we were thinking it was for Liverpool,let me tell you he's still at the top of his game,if it true and he becomes a blue,even if it's only for a year,it's a coup,I watched him against Bilbao and he was world class

Pienaar- 2.5/3m {Ed024's Note - If that happened we would need another cb, the club wouldn't sell jags for less than 12-13 million

You want to sell Rodwell and the Jags.

These are quality players and the present and future of our club. Don't be too quick to sell these players now. Six months of good form from these two and you would be looking at 50 mil, not that I would still sell.

Can we please get real and keep our stars!

Okay guys I put want in brackets, because I don't particularly want it to happen myself but I think it is what we'll have to do if Moyes wants funds also I think we'll get Jonas Olsson as a replacement CB...finally I would also prefer us to sell Rodders and Jags than Felli and Bainesy.

It looks like we will sell a key player next season reading Moyes interview in the Liverpool Echo he says

"It looks like for now we will probably have to trade players more than we have wanted to in the past, it's worked for Newcastle this season, they got 35 million for Andy Carroll and used that money well and they have got there rewards this season, they have been terrific. It's similar to us really, we have done it in the past when we had to sell Wayne Rooney and we bought in a few player's and nutured them along and we got ourselves in the Champions League, so it's not always a bad thing to trade, though you'd rather not sell your best player's in a ideal scenario, but sometimes you have too"

Reading into this i am convinced Moyes has got to the point were he actually WANTS to sell one of our key player's so he can make signings in the summer and remain competitive.

As i have always said i would love to keep the likes of Jagielka, Rodwell, Baines, Fellaini and Barkley (players that would sell for a big price) but if one of them needs to be sold and Moyes is giving most of the money to bring in 3-4 player's, I honestly would be happy with that as I believe Moyes is one of the best manager's in the league when it comes to using money and having a good eye for quality players.

No matter who he sold he would replace them really well, the only player out of the 5 i have mentioned that would go for a good price that we would find it difficult to replace would be Baines, the other 4, yes, again great player's but with the money Moyes would be able to replace them.

Who would everyone sell? and what's the valuation of the 5 i have mentioned? Here's what i think anyway;

Jagielka 12 million
Rodwell 14-16 million
Barkley 15-20 million
Fellaini 25-30 million
Baines 25 million {Ed024's Note - Whatever happens moyes will get it right, he has stated he needs a modest amount of money to do the business he wants, that i believe will be the selling of fringe players, unless a crazy bid came in for baines or fellaini in excess of 22 million where we would then have to consider it, it has worked for newcastle and if moyes got every penny of the money to spend there would be no complaints of me

As long as we don't get freaking Arteta'd again! Business needs to be done early, we could have brought in Jelavic and/or some quality midfielder to replace Arteta last summer but the deal only happened in the closing minutes of the window. As long as it's great money and an early deal where quality is brought in then I guess that's ok. I'd sell anyone but Fellaini and Baines though (obviously Jelavic won't leave)

I agree, i would have no problem with us selling one of our "big" players IF the price was ridiculous high like 25 million plus AND it was done early in the summer and not last minute AND Moyes got every penny to bring a few players in.

Bit far fetched but havnt had a winner for three weeks and due one

I agree, he's often coming in to the box late from the right, and sometimes it looks like it will fall for him.....it's going to eventually.

Really can see Jelavic getting over the 20+ mark for goals next season especially if we secure Pienaar and maybe another striker (rodellaga? Fletcher?) Probably Rodellaga with him being free but then again Spurs want him and if they get champs league he will probably choose them.
Would love Dempsey or Donovan to sign next season! Rate them both highly.
Who do the ed's and the fans on here think we may get in the summer or is it going to be another stale transfer for us!!? {Ed025's Note - peanuts and 1 or2 freebies for me...i think the cupboard is bare!..

IMWT ed, he will wheel and deal and get us what we need, he has done it so many times before.

Clint Dempsey may have played his last game for Fulham after the 29-year-old was ruled out of the club's final match of the season with a groin strain. Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal are all ready to make bids in the summer.

Agree'd there ed, with 1 or 2 signings and the youth coming through I think we could easily get top 6 next season. we just need to keep our best players!
