A great result yesterday. WBA were the usual boring, sit in the box selves with the tactical genius Pulis coming up with no new ideas.
Him and Koeman couldn't be any different. Koeman saw we were struggling to find gaps in the box and so told Lukaku to pull out wide to draw out the defender. Genius, true genius.
After the first goal it was all over as it usually is against a Pulis side. If you concede first they just put more players behind the ball and so make it difficult to come back from a goal down. Score first and it's usually over as he has no new ideas.
As for the players. Lukaku was great, Jags done well after his spell out and Barry was much improved against a midfielder that lacked pace or the will to go past the halfway line. He struggles badly against teams that attack us but against this lot it's easier pickings.
Barkley is getting better but yesterday he was exceptional. Pace, power and composure mixed with accuracy in his pass and in finding the right man almost everytime. If he isn't picked AND played for England then Southgate needs sacking now. A new contract is the club's most important job right now and a long one to boot.
Overall things look brilliant with Europe now a dead cert and a big announcement this month should put the icing on the cake.

Not much to say really it was a good performance all round think I'm going to keep quiet now till next season as RK keeps proving me wrong all good at the moment let's hope it continues.

Well Skylark, I was negative for 2 years. But the club does seem to be going in the right direction. The 2 kids we just signed are real quality in my view. Lookman is going to be a fine finisher when he has matured a bit and Calvert-Lewin makes Red Rum look slow. Gana is making such a difference. Scneiderlin is like a link in a jig saw and with Tom Davies and a few other kids breaking into the first team, we suddenly seem to be blooming with youth! I feel we will have a great team in about 2 years time if we keep this momentum up.

Hope you guys enjoyed the game. I was in Bullens Road and surrounded by Danish supporters so it was a bit flat. not like the Man City game. didn't see Toffee Al nor any of the other guys who posted but a few beers and a decent game. Things are looking brighter.

Degsy I would have preferred the danish over the Germans sat next to me in main stand kept getting up every 5 minutes either they really like to Goodison pies or they have the smallest bladders in the world.

I worked in Germany for a while and can guarantee they loved the pies! Because those guys can drink as good as the British!
