Does any1 else undrstnd why it's taken so long 2 sell up with Bk ano pple keep sayin its the stadium but othr clubs with not gr8t grounds av bin bought or got investment ie qpr Leeds. if this latest consortium r interstd in buying the club and av plenty ov dosh why can't they look to the future buy the club then invest in a ground l8tr because the must be sum financial clout in Goodison when that's sold on surely does any1 else agree or no anything more bluejack

Believable0 Unbelievable2

The ground is the major problem, they are gong to have to fork out the big bucks to build a new one.

Although there are other sticking points, the price of 125mil is steep. let's put this into perspective, I think the price Lerner bought Aston Villa for was around the 60mil mark (not 100% sure), it is fair to say Aston Villa and Everton are in the same class in terms of fan base and global appeal, hell even history is pretty similar (us 4th most successful, Villa 5th), however, they have a ready made stadium and we don't and yet, Kenwright and his cronies want more than double what Villa went for.

Joke if you ask me. No wonder we haven't been sold for so long.

Agree0 Disagree0

He bought 59% for 60 mill putting value of club around 100 mill but that was a few years ago prob more now esp with the new TV deal!if we value our club to low you will only attract people who want to make a quick buck!like the people who have just bought Leeds at a low price and are already looking to sell it for a profit. now victor the crock is at it!get back to the good things everton do!chase the ball hard, work hard and hopefully get the result! let the opposition do the chasing victor!we proved we can knock the ball around and were a joy to watch not so long upon a time ago! then a ginger sweaty sock took the joy out of everton and resorted back to his centre half defensive mind!i, d rather see our young lads giving it all and wanting to wear our jersey win or lose than the same old same old faces and tactics!we have all got to get kenright on the back foot and demand him to step down! nothing but the best is good enough! and simply kenright your not good enough or wanted!E. Hope I'm made to eat these words, but I bet that even after the weekend shambles Moyes will play 4-5-1 against City, Neville will start as will Fellaini and Heitinga, there won't be any massive changes like we want to see. He'll stick to his one and only plan of how to win a football match, nothing is going to change until we get a manager who can utilise our attacking talent properly.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

The manager doesn't have much scope for change.
The main players are injured.
You want to play kids against a multi million pound team that could ruin them?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hitz, Oviedo, Anichebe, Vellios, Duffy. Gibson actually starting. I'd even rather have bloody Naismith playing than Neville. A different formation, could even try (and here's a radical thought) a different tactical approach.

A different formation or a different tactical approach you say? What does this actually mean.

At the end of the day there is NOTHING you/we/me can do to improve Everton, other than support!
We're don't control who plays, we don't control how we set up, we don't control the team sheet, we don't control transfers.
We don't control how the opposition are going to play on the day.
We don't control the ref, linesman or the 4th official.
We don't control the weather, investment or takeovers.
We don't control TV rights or sponsorship.

We DO control the Atmosphere.

I'd rather sing my heart out in support for 98+mins (thats how long games last for these days) than worry about what bus I'm getting home.

I totally AGREE, there are players that need dropping/sold.
I AGREE Moyes could have done the whole "Contract thing" different.
I AGREE Jelly's not hitting form.
I AGREE Nevile could be past it.
I AGREE we need to play the youngsters more
I AGREE we play defensive sometimes.

I can AGREE with most posts on here and I'm not judging your opinions, they are ALL valid points.

BUT

One thing that PISSES me off is NEGATIVITY!

This is a rumours/banter site so your all entitled to your opinions/voice.

Please GET BEHIND YOUR TEAM!

Moyes could go - We'll find another
Felly could go - 25 nicker in the bank
Redrubbish finish above us - They've spent sh*tloads and won't get Europe

I could go on forever.

WE. ARE. EVERTON.

I for one am a supporter.

If "David Brent took over (the office) I would still be there!

Chin up boys. Chin up!

So now its moyes fault jelavic doesn't score, moyes fault that he always runs the channels instead of getting in the box? and when in the box he has missed a bag full of easy chances this season, chances that quite easily could have got us champions league.
I sit close to the dugout and quite a few times this season I have clearly heard him shout at jelavic telling him to get in the box

I seriously wish they would jog on out and let us start a new chapter!enough is enough!

time for moyes to change his mindset and go out to win every game, even against the better teams or time for us to get a new manager. fed up of this top 10 is a good achievement rubbish. he too often goes out with the mindset to not get beat, hence the rigid, predictable 4-5-1 formation every game. same players, same formation, same style. duffy in for heitinga at cb or even distin because let's face it for a guy of 6foot + he is not as commanding as he should be in the air. also barkley should come in for osman. and vic in for felli as if the rumours are true about felli he should never play for our great club again.
team vs city:
much
coleman duffy distin baines
mirillas barkley gibson pienaar
anichebe jelavic

subs:
springthrope
heitinga
oviedo
kennedy
vellios
osman
mcaleny/long

coyb! positive result on sat is needed

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Asking moyes to change his mindset is like asking someone to change their personalty, he is what he is a negative defensive manager he sets up his teams the same way whether we play Manchester United or tamworth and no amount of money or better standard of player will change that, and that's why we need a change of manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Same style, same players, same tactics, same subs, same times they come on, same way of conceding every other week. If we can see it then every PL manager can see it and therein lies the problem. Predictable, stale, boring football. What happened to the free-flowing attacking football from earlier in the season. The facts point to Moyes only being capable of producing for half a season. Why are we expecting anything different this season than any other? He raises our hopes and expectations and then reverts to type when the going gets tough. He needs to grow some balls and stop being a coward but after 49 yrs I can't see him developing any at this late stage.

If anyone is wondering why FELLAINI never turned up at his appointments yesterday. I'll tell you why it's because he's a complete T**t!
When he gave the ball away at the Wigan game, he turned his back. The Fans in the Bullens Road where telling him to turn around as the ball was still in play, he then gestured to the fans that 'if they could do better they should replace him on the pitch' They again told him to turn around as Wigan were boxed in and still had the ball. He gave the Bullens Road the V sign and was subbed. He went straight down the tunnel, changed and got into his car and drove off! That is gospel! I hate him now! He can f**k off to Chelsea or wherever he wants to go. He quite clearly doesn't want to play for us. I will never clap him when his name is read out again. Treated like a hero, treats his loyal fans like s**t!

Hi Ed

Just on this worth 125 million pound thing, say for example someone bought us for that figure, they then sold every player for a total of 100 million (estimation in my head), they then sold the ground for development to housing for 20 million, also they collected the new TV rights of 80 million quid, grand total equals £200 million revenue for £125 million outlay, of course they would have to clear the £48 million debt so that would leave them £27 million quid up for doing nothing if they bought the club and sold everything.

I now this would never happen but makes £125 million look a decent price.

Just thought I would throw this out there

Degsy {Ed025's Note - for a club of our stature it is degsy..

Believable7 Unbelievable3

I never thought of it like that. I'm off to the bank for a £125 million loan.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Then they have to either upgrade the stadium or build a new one, replace all of the players that they sold for £100million and find a training ground that hasn't got Redrow houses on it.

Leaving them with more like MINUS half a billion quid!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2013 15:52:28
3rd poster, you missed the point mate, we would not exist and the buyer would have made 27 million quid for doing nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

So you want us to be sold and asset stripped?

Agree0 Disagree0

And what is the 125m for? Is that for the shares of Kenwright, Earl and Woods?

Kenwright paid just over 20m for his, Earl paid a reported 9m so you would assume Woods paid slightly less than 9m for his.

Were they not aware that from the time of purchase the value of the shares might increase or decline in value.

Call it 40m for the main three shareholders allowing them to recoup what they paid in, if they have loaned the club money at some stage they will have agreements in place to be repayed. Add on the existing debt to this figure and does it add up to 125m? Methinks that someone is expecting a whopping fat profit for doing very little.

What a lovely world they must live in, wish I could have a slice of that as i`m sure all of us would.

What else are these men bringing to the table?

Forward planning regarding Goodison or a new stadium?

Astute commercial acumen?

A structure in place to support the manager regarding player purchases?

Other than searching 24/7 for the `invisible investor`, what are they bringing to the party?

Kenwright and Woods are lifelong blues and Earl is a `sports fan`, maybe saturday`s performance might shock them into action ( let's not hold our breath on that score lads )

Answers greatfully recieved.

I listened to the whole a web site piece on Everton last night and I have to say Stanley Victor Collymore managed to get more out of Everton Football Club in one phone call than any shareholder, Supporters grouo has managed in 5 years. which begs the question "Why will the club not talk to the fans direct"?
The reason for no AGM is that they are to afraid of any criticsm and confrontation. yet they speak to a former Liverpool player?
I think Mr Collymore did us all a big favour last night mainly for highlighting the inept unprofessional manner in which our club is being run!
I beleive that all Chairmen should be seen and not heard EXCEPT in the case of a crisis and we certainly have a crisis- not so much on the field as Saturday was just a poor day, but the lack of investment, uncertainty of our manager, our best players wanting to leave, and so on.
It is time Mr Kenwright came down to the supporters level and explained a few things without his sickly smarmy grin which would at least show that he cares, because if I were in his shoes I certainly wouldn't be smiling
There is some dispute as to the asking price for EFC many believe it to be overpriced therefore putting off potential investors yet I think if you lower the price for a "quick" sale then you will not have the right people investing and so commences a slow spiral into oblivion (See Portsmouth, Blackburn, etc)
In summary I would like a commitment either way from David Moyse and transprency from the board. I am fed up with supporting the most secretive club in the country
From a team perspective I think it's time for Messers Neville, Fellaini & Heitinga to say goodbye and thank you very much
They say Football is now just a business. well if that's true the board would have been sacked long ago for mis-management
£48m in debt, inept board, unrest amongst the staff. if we were a high street store we would be sitting alongside Woolworths now!
Tricky Trev

Believable2 Unbelievable1

So who exactly was giving the answers.
Didn't hear it myself but the stuff published has been knocking about for ages and other than it coming from an ex red (they must have run out of ex Blues and college professors, but a red? that is really the pitts), there is nothing that couldn't have been 'guessed' at.

Especially the MidEast interest stuck in the middle of it. This whole thing is rubbish and for the 27th year in a row (well it seems that long), it is timed to coincide with the season ticket launch.

MacT

Agree0 Disagree0

Y do fans on here call fans a disgrace who call out kenwright and board. I call them fans who care and who back there comments up with hard facts. fans love everton and are asking questions not just after the Wigan game, that was the catalyst from the lack of investment in jan, that has moyes in his position now over contract. this something very wrong at boardroom level that affects everton every season at crucial times. this isn't a knee jerk reaction it's 11 years of total incompetence by a board who is not fit.

Fantastic we will all put some balloons up to celebrate! I think this Fer deal was never on failed medical? he's played a lot for his club lately. Thomas John.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fer failed his medical due remaining scar tissue in his knee indicating that the knee was still healing. There is no reason for him not to be playing but the knee is more likely to break down again. If you are going to spend around £10million on a player, potentially dodgy knees are a huge turn off! He probably wouldn't get accepted for the club's insurance policy either.

The last thing Everton need is another sick note at the club!

Phil Neville won't renewing his contract next season. Even if Moyes stays, he is gone.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

If Neville steps onto the pitch again in an everton jersey it will show moyes has lost the plot

FFS - I could do what Neville does! Get ready to receive the ball - trap it - look up - look scared - adopt weird 'half crouchy' monster position - get rid ASAP to safest person you can see with bog standard inside right foot pass - which usually means backwards to a defender who is completely unmarked - even if there's a much better positive pass on elsewhere - safety and 'pass completion' statistics are the most important thing to Phil -

memo to Neville - 'safety first' play will win you eff all in this game - did Wigan players look to you like their first priority was not to lose the ball and not to lose the game? No they effing went for it with everything they had.

Now please just retire to the coaching staff - you cannot even pass the ball effectively any more.

Also at one point in the game a shooting chance came to you on the edge of the box and you took so much time trying to line the ball up nicely just how you wanted it that opportunity was lost - the defenders had encroached on you and you hit it 3 yrds wide.

Osman - someone please fit a small tracking bracelet to his ankle so everyone can see how much he simply 'walks' around the midfield?
someone once compared him to Iniesta (splutter) - but Iniesta is on the move the whole game - probably 90% of the time - Osman is walking around not making himself available most (60%?) of the time - watch him - especially when our defenders have it - he doesn't want to receive it - despite playing centre mid!

Coleman - you look a bit dim to me - instead of trying to work out which of the 2 or 3 attacking player to mark (yep, they've 'doubled up' on you because they know you're our weak link) - and finding you can't choose as you're not sure - so end up picking none of them, just standing in the space in between them all - just choose ONE player and stick within 2 or 3 yards of him - and let your right sided midfielder and inside right take the other 1 or 2 players - at the moment your marking space - and standing 5 yards away from the winger with the ball - which he absolutely loves - because it gives him all the time in the world to pick out his target forward - like for wigan's 3rd goal -
as a defender it is not your only job to stop the winger running past you - by standing 5 yards away from him - (again adopting the 'scared I'm a crap player' Neville crouch) - you must also stop the winger getting in a decent cross or pass across the face of the area - for that you need to be closer to him than 5 yards away - you need to be within 2 yards and actually try to take the ball from him!
Coleman is so scared that people will see a winger 'get the run on him' that he stands so far off them that they can do whatever they want with the ball - which is just as bad - though people don't 'see' it as looking as bad for coleman - which is why he does it.
3rd goal was his fault (along with 'don't dive' Mucha)

Hi ed, Jc here long time not spoke for a while. What was said on a web site mate. Did you listen.
Want to believe a takeover looks on, but my head says wake up bill kenwright needs season ticket sales again. Could you let me know mate or anyone else

Thanks
Jc {Ed025's Note - i would love it to be true jc...but im not holding my breath mate..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

These were the basic points of the show,
1. Is Everton for sale? YES
2. What is ballpark asking price? 125 million
3. Interested parties? Interest from Middle Eastern party.
4. Why no sale? Goodison is a "millstone' around club neck.
5. Do Everton want to move? Yes, City of Liverpool/Everton have always been open to a groundshare which LFC will not engage in. However EFC have independent sites in mind, and will not be looking outside of City of Liverpool. Timescale 5-10 years.
6. Why no AGM? Everton prefer the ASF as AGM meetings can be very heated, nothing gets done.
7. David Moyes? No positive development. If David wants a new contract, its his. David's decision will be in his own time as stated.
8. What is Bill Kenwright feeling currently? Despondant.
9. What is club debt? 48 million pounds

Agree0 Disagree0

If our ground was approved then it's possible we'd have the man city owners here. The cost of Man c was around £45m? And they had a brand new ground ours was, £125-150m with no assets, that's why Sheikh Mansour bought city

Agree0 Disagree0

So in 5-10 years time I will be buying my season ticket in a new stadium? no, it takes 3-4 years to build a ground and with this board it would take the same amount of time to find and fund a ground so I don't believe there are even any planned sights at the moment.
oh and the 125m bill has slapped on us will inevitably be our downfall, how can anybody buy a club for 125m. then have to pay off the debt (50m) then fund a new team (a lot of our team are over 30) then to make any profit (because that's the only reason people buy football clubs) they would have to fund a new stadium (400m).
so somebody who buys the club are going to have to spend around about 650m. that's not going to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

What you having a go for? I was just providing a summary of what was said on the show for the OP

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2013 08:05:48
Sometimes good things can come out of result as bad as saterday Kenwright has been exposed as beeing more interested in a big profit rather tha EFC. Most fans would have settled for 2 players or at least 1 in january when in reality for a top 4 challenge the squad needed boosting in all areas from goalkeeper to striker at least 4 or 5 good quality players the money was never going to be there. Yes Moyes got the tactics wrong but the writing has been on the wall for months the small squad has been run into the ground because Kenwright won't risk any more debt because it will cut into his 125ml. Time to go Kenwright cut the asking price and p**s off. thgfest

Believable4 Unbelievable1

You get all of that from 1 defeat? The club doesn't need supporters like you. You'd fit right in at Analfield though!

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenwright is a blaggard any half decent businessmen who he brings in, he falls out with or they leave, Trevor birch gregg Wyness. every major chance to push on his vanity to let people who r better equipped to make the decisions gets in the way. samuelson investment at everton failed because of kenwright wanting total control. these are respected people who have run a mile from everton. people need to ask serious questions now, people say he will do what's best 4 everton, but the evidence shows he will do what's best for him to stay chairman. he reminds me of Peter Swales who eventually was made to leave city and sufferered terrible abuse. hope that doesn't happen here, but fans are realising the truth

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Mar 2013 06:21:55
every1 having a go at the players, your all so wrong over this, saturday was a bad day at the office bu the likes of fellaini are the reason we were pushing for champions league, the board are at fault letting the manager down in the transfer window when we were in the strongest position for years to win something or qualify for the champions league, moyes looks not interested nomore as he knoes he's wasting his time here with no backing from the board, hile kenwright and co are in charge of the club everton will never do anything, there a disgrace, the fans need to get behind the players now
school of science

Believable4 Unbelievable2

The crossroads has finally arrived at everton. the board have got away with lies, any objective about a stadium has failed. the one saving grace they had has had enough and is going to resign. I find it really insulting that a source from everton speaking on kenwright behalf speaks finally to who stan collymore. who will be next an exclusive with Robbie savage. what I find offensive is the answers about kings dock, backers pulled out. kenwright wouldn't step aside for gregg who would have financed the money everton needed. kings dock failed because of bills vanity and to make matters worse Greggs shares where sold to a man earl who has gave what Rocky. there's a great myth that bill has stabilised the club, how we've got a bigger debt now than when he took over. he was prepared to overlook a great size of r fan base and r heritage over the Kirkby move,. everton managers should never resign from r club because of ambition,. where is the leadership from the top. Bill kenwright should be sitting in the paddock and the only decision he should be making is wether to get a coffee or tea. because commercially and involving sponsorships we are lagging behind. no Agms nothing. we survive on tv money. every window fans scared about losing players. don't agree with the way moyes is handling his contract, but what else can he do. but in some ways it's a good thing because the board can't hide behind him no more. for all the bill lovers name me some positive achievements that the board has done apart from moyes and putting flags outside the ground with ex players on. he's not fit

Agree0 Disagree0

GOOD POST MATE, MOYES NOT SIGNING CONTRACT UNLESS HE GETS SOME DOSH TO IMPROVE THE SQUAD? BOARD AT FAULT!

I can't believe some people are swallowing Moyes's 'it was a bad day at the office' bs. There's clearly something extremely disruptive going on behind the scenes.
