I see Ghezzal has yet to sign anywhere have we totally moved on from our previous interest?
And similarly with Arnautovic we were in for him last year do we have any interest there?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I can't answer question worded like that - but I can say Roma and Milan are looking at him.}

12 Jul 2017 23:58:16
Ok so let me word it this way, Ghezzal is now a free agent, we were previously interested so have we moved on from him or have we made any offer to him now he is a free agent?
And last year we looked at Arnautovic and bid for him I have seen West Ham have made moves, is he still of interest to Everton or no longer a target for us?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - (a) No, Roma and Milan are interested in him. (b) West Ham are interested.}

Watched sigurdson play second half in Swansea's 1-0 defeat to Barnet. Looked very sharp and made several darting runs forward but inept teammates failed to find him with passes. Consequently he hardly touched the ball. Only conclusion I came to is Swansea will struggle with or without him!

Has Jose Baxter actually joined the U23 squad for a last chance at saving his career or has that idea been shelved by the club?

I think he was offered 12 months to begin once his drug ban was lifted.

Having been an avid reader of this forum for a long time, I've taken the plunge and registered as a user.
As a lifelong Evertonian, it's great to see how Farhad Moshiri is transforming the club's finances - not by splurging his own money like a sugar daddy, but rather by his business acumen getting good commercial deals and sponsorships. Plus he's clearly determined to achieve success. It's certainly true that money attracts money, and he's doing that for Everton.

{Ed007's Note - Welcome aboard, Bobby.}

12 Jul 2017 21:37:20
Couldn't agree more Bobby. Mosh seems a class act. Not one of these owners who wants the limelight. He has a passion for the game and is used to being successful in what he does. He's setting us up to compete at the top table of European football for years to come. Back where we belong at last!

Welcome Bobby, look forward to reading your views on here bud. Let's enjoy the Everton revolution together, it's going to be as bumpy as watching Andy Murray at Wimbledon lol.

I've never bought into the idea of “where we belong”. Our history is great, our present is very promising, but our future will only be successful if we’re smart and work hard (on and off the field) . Other than getting a little bit of good luck along the way, Everton Football Club has to earn a place at the top table that's based on performance. Too many other clubs (and their fans) - home and abroad - think they deserve to be always at the top as a matter of “right”. I say that every club has to earn success and every club - no matter how big or small - has a right to try to be the best they possibly can based on a level (as far as can be reasonably regulated) playing field.

I agree bud football moves so fast if you stand still a second you lose a year. This summer has been great and think, when Coleman and Bolaise return it's like getting 2 amazing signings. We are not far off having an amazing squad. I believe Benteke, if only for a couple of seasons would be an excellent signing.

Jim White reporting Ross + 2 Million for Gylfi. If true a backwards step for Ross in my opinion
Should have signed the contract sill boy.

question for the EDS has anybody spoke to Everton regarding Ross Barkley I would like him to stay but only if he is willing to knuckle down and listen to the advice of Koeman and co what is actually happening with him.

{Ed002's Note - Spurs are interested but the price is an issue.}

12 Jul 2017 09:09:44
I'm not surprised, he's no way worth 50m. I know you pay a premium for English players but still.

12 Jul 2017 10:56:19
if Liverpool can ask 30 million for Sakho and Swansea can ask 50 million for Sigs then we can also play silly buggers and ask a daft price that no one will pay our only problem is he only has 12 months left and could leave for nowt.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2017 15:54:22
Why is that a problem? If he stays another season it adds strength to the squad. If after that he goes for nothing, fine it's not coming out of my pocket. And who knows if we do have a good season he might want to stay. As long as Ronald wants him that is.

The problem is we want Sigurdsson and Swansea know it and plus he has 3 years left on his contract. The trouble is with Barkley no one actually desperately wants him so there's a snowflake's chance in hell someone will pay the 50 mill for him. I think we'd be extremely lucky if we got 25mill for him. The only club I Read showing an interest is Tottenham. As it happens my mate is an honest and realistic Tottenham fan. Where he reckons Tottenham could possibly not make top 6 and qualify for Europe for the next 2 seasons what with the move to Wembley then to the new ground. My point is. Every day I ask him has he signed Barkley yet, and every day it always boils down to him saying "its paper rubbish because even for 10 mill its a waste of money because he wouldn't get in the side. "
I'm not sure Barkley is going this season because apart from Tottenham who don't dont actually need him. No one else seems that bothered.

12 Jul 2017 21:27:16
Saying he is only worth 10 million is a bit harsh considering they paid 30 million for Sissoko. 25 and a handshake is fair I think.

12 Jul 2017 08:14:03
I think we still need a couple of new players, we haven't replaced lukaku yet and looks like Ross is going; so, need a player their with maybe sigurdsson or another.

We may not replace Rom, but we are certainly spreading goals more throughout side with signings added. koeman has stated that is his intention. rather than rely on one guy.
