Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

12 Jan 2017 22:40:12
Ed. Is there anuthing to the quiet (for now) rumours of our alleged interest in Valere Germain, a player I'd love to play up front with Rom?

{Ed002's Note - See previous answers Brian.}

Word on the grapevine is Befodil is all apple sauce. Are we after another forward?

Well I have been very impressed so far with the start of this transfer window I hope it continues looks like Mr Walsh my old P. E. teacher is doing the business onwards and upwards COYB!

I can't believe we haven't signed anyone yet its been almost 6 hours since we signed schniederlin bloody club always dragging their feet. :)

Better mention that was a joke!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - good idea AL, some fans take things too seriously mate..

I think perhaps we guessed it was.

I'm the first to over react when things don't go our way. What we are doing with young Bradley on Sunday is what separates Everton to most clubs. We may have just spent bucket loads on some new players, we may be disgruntled with results but ultimately it is just a game, our club has that special ability to make it that little bit more and that is why we love it and that is what NSNO really means.
With a Everton in the community winning every award going and our endless support in the fight for those lost at Hillsborough we show that we are bigger than football. We are a club and that's why once you're a blue.
now. what's Walsh at getting that rubbish French lad for so much money 😂😂😂😂

Well said Svenny. I wish this kid the best with his treatment. I can't imagine how terrifying it must be for him and his family. What an inspiration he is.

Standing on the stands on Sunday and watching that young lad walk us out will make me even prouder to be an Evertonian.
Hopefully moneybags City will take note and contribute to the cause for this young lad.

Hi ed

There is a guy on Everton forum called wrd1878 who has predicted loads right. He says we are bidding £40m for van dick, interested in athletico Madrid centre back and Italian winger? You heard anything

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Another club offered a lot more than that for van Dijk and got told not for sale.}

12 Jan 2017 21:28:11
Yes he said we made a bid mate but never said we would get him so don't get hopes up VVD won't be moving til atleast the summer is say.

Paddy Power have suspended betting on Van Dijk joining Everton in January.

Siggardson please .

12 Jan 2017 21:04:02
Don't think we will be in for a GK, imo it isn't the GK position that makes many mistakes but the defence especially at CB that is getting caught out but maybe Schneiderlen (spelling) and Davis at DM will give them more protection. So I reckon a support striker for Lukaku and a wideman.

12 Jan 2017 20:08:19
Tell you something. Ed002 must be gianni infantino or something with the amount of in depth knowledge he has in terms of transfers. Thank you again for this info ed. Keep it up.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

12 Jan 2017 20:59:01
I second that geoffjohno about ed02. I don't even read any other rumour sites now during transfer windows. I come on here to find out who Everton are interested in buying from our very own guru on football transfers, ed002. Cheers ed002 for keeping us well informed 👍

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Jan 2017 19:55:43
Biggest shock of the day? We've been linked with buying Belfodil and as yet no mention of spurs wanting him. The only reasonable explanation of this is Levy must be on holiday or something.

12 Jan 2017 21:09:56
Still time for West ham to jump in tho

12 Jan 2017 19:26:01
What's going on with Belfodil? I seen this photo of him in an Everton shirt but he played the first half against Dortmund. Has anyone got any idea of when the photo was taken or any other information? Ed002 any ideas mate?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea about any photos - is this Twitter and Photoshop or whatever?}

12 Jan 2017 19:42:10
No ed there's a video on YouTube and it shows him in an Everton shirt standing in front of the Everton badge, I tried to post the picture on the sightings page but it wouldn't upload. If it's photoshopped someone has done a good job. Check it out if you get a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 19:46:46
Surely those photos are false. Isn't he in Spain right now, or have I got that wrong?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 20:27:29
I'm not sure if he's in Spain ace but he did play in a match against Dortmund. It could be a possibility that maybe he took the photos before he travelled and maybe there was some sticking point or the club are waiting to make an announcement for another reason or maybe it is fake but it's very convincing.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 20:47:28
Really hard to say Duncs head. Could be the case. The photos are proper top quality if they are doctored though. Might be the same guy that made them dodgy fivers.

I just watched the video of Ademola Lookman that ed01 put up. How good does he look, pace with lots of skill, can go left or right and not afraid to shoot from range? The only negative I can see in him is he looks lightweight but hopefully that doesn't hinder him in the EPL.
I'm looking forward to watching him play for us and hopefully ed01's friend is right to have very high hopes for him.

Great signing welcome to the best club in the world MS great credit has to go to Bill Kenwright for the position he's moved our club into he could have sold to the highest bidder without a care or second thought but he held out and installed what seems to be a man of principle what a great window suck on that Jim whyte

Believable3 Unbelievable0

12 Jan 2017 18:47:03
Is there a reason why certain transfers reflect the transfer fee and others are undisclosed? I don't really care what a player costs but more just interested why this is done.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - All transfer fees (every single one) are recorded on the TMS - none are "undisclosed". If a club says that it is simply because they do not wish to discuss the money at the time.}

12 Jan 2017 19:21:49
Ok great. Thanks Ed.

I've just spent 10 min watching various videos of him on YouTube and he looks shocking

Give Walsh a bell, mate. Sure those youtube videos will tell him more than his scouts ever will!

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 17:28:07
Charliechimp, please, I wouldn't give YouTube clips much notice. Watch Niasse again on them. When you look closely all his best clips there are no players around him. His best bits may as well been taken with no one else on the pitch but him.

I looked at Belfodil and was quite impressed. Although it wasn't the same as Ronalhdinho's clips they were decent. He actually had other players to beat and contend with. He looks strong, good in the air and composed.

Also there is a world appart from the scouting set up when Martinez was here and now under Walsh. Imho Walsh is top notch and as good as if not better than anyone in his line of work. Have every faith in him.

12 Jan 2017 17:50:18

12 Jan 2017 16:24:07
Well it's all kicked off on here today hasn't it? I think that Ed02 has a point to be fair. The last couple of years our support has been toxic. I don't know whether fans have just turned or whether the extra 5000 season ticket holders are the boo boys, but sometimes the atmosphere is dreadful.

The away support is generally good, and I think that most of our fans are the best in the world. As always, it's the few spoiling it for the many.

I love Everton and all of my fellow blues but unfortunately I can't really condone some of the behaviour and comments on here and at the match. What I used to call "Kopite behaviour" has also become commonplace on the hallowed turf of Goodison.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

12 Jan 2017 16:59:43
I feel ed002 is acting like a dictator and turning the everton page into a totalitarian state where fans can't criticize or give their opinions.

Agree3 Disagree2

12 Jan 2017 17:19:09
Ed002 has his opinion he quite clear he is not happy with the way some Everton fans behave both on this forum and out and about. At the end of the day if that's what he thinks there is no use whinging about it. It won't change his mind so why get involved in a slanging match.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - exactly sa, he does provide us with some really good information mate and we dont want to lose that so if you dont agree with what he writes then just dont read it..simples..

Grumpy, what do you think? Will we take Ed002 to Bradford and get him sorted? Seems very frustrated on here. A release would do him the world of good.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I have been to Bingley which is near Bradford.}

12 Jan 2017 14:50:21
LOL I think it would take a few trips NBTB.

No offense ED002, I'm grumpy enough for us both.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 15:06:54

You are going to pay a little more in Bingley pal.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 15:41:28

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 16:35:24
I lived in Bingley for four years, great place to live but I don't remember meeting Ed002. I also worked in Bradford for 8 years in a Chemical factory. Now working their would make Ed002 really grumpy, I think we would be better leaving him working as a Rodeo clown.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - All I remember is a very good Indian restaurant - a very large place in the middle of teh village.}

12 Jan 2017 17:26:41
Ok NBTB I'll get a fiver as well, you and me can pay for the " Special entertainment " and ED002 can pay for the meal afterwards. Sounds like a plan .

12 Jan 2017 11:58:48
Hi eds, just wondering, with cleverly and niasse going on loan til the end of the season with options to buy, is this so we have a decent chunk to spend nxt season under fair play rules? Rather than this season where we got a decent wad for stones already. I maybe barking up the wrong tree?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It is simply business as usual and there is no FFP issue.}

12 Jan 2017 11:13:18
Anybody heard what the delay is in announcing schneiderlin?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - What is wrong with you?}

12 Jan 2017 12:18:01
Hey Ed002, I understand people's nervousness. I remember Nigel Martin "was signing" for us in the 80's. then we let him go and talk to Leeds Utd. he signed for them and was amazing. We eventually got him when he was about 31 years old. Then there was Stan Collymore coming to sign for us. where did he end up? Then the last transfer window . we had Sissoko signing. we had Axel Witsel. we had Lucaz Perez. we had Gabbiadini. All I can say, is that "is it any wonder Evertonians get nervous when the silence is deafening? "

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing to say until the paperwork is completed and the international clearance has been provided. It is like an absolute joke the way the Everton fans have behaved over the last two windows. The lack of communication is direct fallout from the awful behavior and abuse in the summer. That should not be a suprise as you were told at the time.}

12 Jan 2017 13:14:53
I agree that some of our fans have behaved in a terrible way. But I also liked the post someone put on here yesterday about Harry Catterick would say a player was ours after about 5 games. not before he had signed on!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 13:44:37
Come on peeps we had all this last season and during the summer. We have the set up (or nearly) in place for us to make a start on moving in the right direction now. Numerous people some with perhaps more sense about the Club than us mere plebs have told us patience is now what is required and yet some just plod on as if the blinkers do not allow peripheral vision. Mr Moshri will be wondering what he has got himself into if we carry on.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 13:55:27
Our fans are no different to any other fans around the country. In given the record we have had over the last twenty odd years, I think the support has been fantastic. Try going to an away match if you want to see true support. All clubs have supporters who are natural moaners. City, Utd, Lpool, Chelsea, all have moaning supporters, and they have had success.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - Rubbish. Some clubs have toxic fans that constantly attack the hierarchy. Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton are the culprits. The Everton fans were dreadful over the summer and deserve the minimum communication from the board and owners that they are getting.}

12 Jan 2017 14:21:46
Hey

.......

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You don't get it do you? Always someone else. I spent the summer explaininhg how poor the fans were - suck it up.}

12 Jan 2017 14:38:51
Really. Try going to Hull away, Watford away, Sunderland away. Over the years I've heard it from them all. Even Chelsea last season, went to the game with a couple of friends, and all there supporters were moaning about how crap Hazzard was and how he should be sold. So it's ot rubbish. Or is it just an issue you have with northern teams?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Another embarrassing attempt to try and get away from who awful the fans were over the summer - were the Chelsea fans demanding Mr Abramovich leave? Hopeless.}

12 Jan 2017 14:55:54
Guys ED002 does have a valid point.

A carpenter who blames his tools is not a carpenter, A football fan who critiques every moment they can are not football fans.

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Jan 2017 15:10:26
Hey

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are just a moron trying to say everyone else is worse. Everton fans were an absolute disgrace over the summer and that is the reason why the relationship has soured - the point is nothing to do with someone moaning about Wenger. Manchester United fans did untold damage to the club by their toxic behavior and Liverpool fans have done the same - the three clubs are light years worse than anyone else. Try not to look for feeble excuses. It is embarrassing to read.}

12 Jan 2017 15:27:07
Chelsea might not want to get rid of their owner, but the "supporters" are quick enough to want to get rid of the manager. Sadly your northern bias blinds you to what other clubs are like.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I don't have any "Northern Bias". Idiot.}

12 Jan 2017 15:39:33
Hey guys. I think you all need to take that deep breath I was on about a while back. I actually agree with Ed that SOME of our fans behaved dreadfully through the Summer. But likewise, I tried to explain to Ed why I can understand frustration amongst some fans. and nervousness that yet another transfer might break down. It has happened so many times to us. But there is no reason to start toxic insults at each other. This is a banter site. not an insult site. To quote the old Monty Python sketch, " Is this the right room for a transfer? " etc

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 15:57:44
Degsy, I don't believe I insulted anyone. And your right this is supposed to be a banter site. But once people resort to throwing insults at you when you are trying to have a debate. Then they have lost the argument. I am not a moron or an idiot. I have a very successful business which has allowed me to retire early, and enjoy life. Perhaps others should try enjoying life too. 🌞

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are an idiot if you think I have a "Northern Bias" - I am from the North originally.}

This befodil might not be prolific but he seems good in the air and might be exactly what Rom needs next to him, someone to win headers for lukaku to run on to instead of Rom trying to win his own flick ons

Believable2 Unbelievable0

12 Jan 2017 09:45:03
Agree johny. My gut feeling is similar to when we were after Gabbiadini. We have a prolific striker at the moment - we don't need to break the bank for a 2nd. What we do need is a foil for Lukaku, a partner who can support him, have the movement to take players away, work hard to close down so Rom doesn't always have to, and also take some of the goal burden by scoring ~10 a season.

No idea if Belfodil will provide this, but it appears to me that this is the road they are going down with him looking at his stats.

Colleague of mine is a season ticket holder at Charlton. He says Lookman is very quick but isn't sure he has the technical ability to perform in the top flight; even said it was a shame as he thought he may be another one of those players who goes to a big club too soon and disappears. I hope he's wrong, of course.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - friend of mine is on the coaching staff at Charlton and he rates Lookman very highly mate.

Lookman clips

Just thought that might give you more of an idea about him.}

12 Jan 2017 09:48:16
Cheers Ed its always great to hear some positive comments about players from the people that actually know them. I hope he adapts to the PL pretty quickly as we need that bit of spark at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he was a youth coach involved in bringing the lad through before his promotion last season to the first team staff, so he knows him very well.}

12 Jan 2017 08:13:36
From what I have seen of him Memphis Depay has got to be worth the reported £15 mill surely. Unless his skill and form have suddenly dipped and unrecoverable. Still Iwwt.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

12 Jan 2017 08:11:33
Be the day I come on here and see no moaning, and I don't understand what age has to do with anything at this stage of the season when buying players, yes we would all love to buy players in there prime, but who really sells there best players in January, no one, if a player is 33 but can help us threw the next period then why not,

Believable1 Unbelievable1

12 Jan 2017 08:44:35
I agree with that jlmcr5. I'm well below average on keenness to sign players. But as you say if they improve the squad and even better the first 11 then, why not?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jan 2017 12:04:04
It's not so much that he is 33 but the fact that we already have quite a few over 30's already in that department. We also have some promising younger players in the cb position so I'd rather give them a proper run out than spend 'x' amount of millions on a player we may only get a couple of seasons out of, at most.
