Palace are disgraceful if you bring in a manager to play the ajax way which takes years to implement then back him, they honestly thought it would be done in 4 games.

{Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Did you watch Palace yesterday? They were brilliant. OK they got beat and didn't score, but they played some lovely football. How can they sack him 4 games in? There you have all that is wrong with modern day football and modern day 'microwave' fans (and owners) ! an absolute disgrace. Take note and take heed all those who are grumbling about Ronnie.

Nothing wrong in grumbling about Ronnie. I don't think that anyone is really suggesting that he be replaced. Just wish that he would stop being so dogmatic in his opinions of certain players.

Think the de Boer issue is more tham just results on the pitch. Think he was quite disruptive in the dressing room and various other issues in the background.

I agree Pierre, thought they played well against Burnley, and but for a couple of sitters missed and some very good defending. They could easily have won the game. Didn't look like a team who where not playing for the manager.

1940Mike - I would have agreed until I saw he'd brought Niasse back into the fold.

Granted Koeman may have been too vocal in some of his opinions, but I'd be fairly irritated too by the way Barkley behaved after he'd been consistently inconsistent but still offered a huge new contract.

Just a thought, but maybe Koeman thinks he can build a system with three natural numbers 10s interlinking to stretch defences and create opportunities once they get to know each other's games. Quality CBs have the experience to nullify a big front man but a fluid front three could be a nightmare, particularly given that Rooney, Sig, Klaassen and Sandro can all finish.

OK, maybe that's wishful thinking.

I hope there are still some fans out there that are realistic, but are being patient at the same time, yes it was not great against Spurs but I will judge us when we are 12-15 prem games in, people still forget we're a new team with koeman into his 2nd season, and I would of taken 7th start of last season and he has done brilliant in 12 months to turn the squad into quality and stripped away the dead wood, so this is his team now, we have a great squad age and let's not forget we have Coleman and Bolasie to come back at the moment we don't have that striker we would like but if we couldn't get 1st or 2nd option then I don't want one.

At last a level headed post which is absolutely spot on Truebluemetz79. Especially about the striker. When the right one is available we'll get him. No point getting someone just for the sake of it. Koeman said himself it you don't get your 1st, 2nd or even 3rd choice player for a certain position it makes it much more difficult to get a right fit or any player for that matter.

The only thing that gets me, most of us new Rom was going last season so why not have a list of names for a replacement? a big mistake, think it going long winter mates.

{Ed025's Note - ronnie put all his eggs in one basket stig, he thought giroud was nailed on and by the time he said no there was little time left to get a quality replacement, that was a major faux pas by him and walsh and it will cost us big time i feel mate..

11 Sep 2017 17:45:35
Ya never know. Niasse could be our forgotten hero. Clutching at straws but he knows where the goal is. occasionally.
Maybe one of the youth set up may get a chance and dcl looks a good player.

The issue these days is football is under a microscope 24/ 7, with the press and the likes of Sly sports, talk sport etc bringing news and rumours to us every minute of the day. They want air time and to sell stories however truthful its how they make money.
The pressure of this means opinion is often divided and clubs cannot be underperforming and jobs are ultimately the supreme sacrifice.
After the euphoria of what appears to be a great transfer window for us, the knives are out as appears at early stages that it is not as good as first seems. Unfortunately the No1 a striker has not happened and is the most ridiculous situation have.
But let's not also forget we have a very difficult first 6 games and shortcoming will and are being punished!
We have no options now till January so the manager will have to work out how to get the best of what he has until then!

Excellent article in the Royal Blue Mersey, re Mr Moshiri seems to be acquiring extra shares and having more control from Bill in the running of the a Club and transfers etc etc, also mentions USM interest as well, more info in five days, check it out cheers.

Guernsey! Nothing of the sort mate. All that is happening is he is being confirmed as a person of significant control. Which is exactly what you would expect with his 49 percent. Bill god bless him will be very reluctant to let go altogether of his toy.

No change yet and to be honest it won't change until stadium is given all clear that's when I see funding, shares and investment taken to another level this would of been Moshiri's 3&5 year business plan, I still see something happening with Usmanov it's not just guess work I have heard rumours with him selling a percentage of his shares to have a significant say in Everton, he does not want to sell all his shares in Arsenal but knows he won't have any influence.

If he doesn't sell all his shares in Arsenal he can't be directly involved with Everton that's the rules.

Pretty dire. In my opinion, worst performance under koeman. Side lacked width, pace, creativity, formation. very bizarre. However, in my opinion we have talent in that squad. just need koeman to pick a best 11 rather than trying to shoe horn 5 central midfielder's into the same team. and obviously not replacing Rom is a big issue. but I think it will definitely improve.

I agree it was the worst performance but for the first 30 mins until a lucky goal we did ok what surprised me was the front 4 had no idea where they were playing Sandro was all over the place klasson was supposedly on the right but kept moving inside leaving martina exposed sigs looked lost and Rooney had a poor game wish he would start lookman and Lewin and drop klassen and Sandro who will both need time to adapt. I would also drop Williams he has been poor for a while now and his body language was shocking time for jags to come back in.

bluey. bought that many midfielders it is as if Koeman wishes to prove his judgement right and so tries to shoe them all in. It obviously isn't working. Need a back 3 then two wingbacks, Gueye, Sigurdson, Rooney (both through the middle) , Lew and Sandro/ Niasse (who would have thought - until January) .
