Posted on here the other day about Matty Kennedy playing well for the U21's, well he put on his twitter before "Looking forward to the match tomorrow, Sunderland at home!", so it looks like he might get that spot on the bench sooner rather than later, just hope he takes he's chance if he does come on, he's only 18 but he already looks sharper than Gueye based on recent form!

Listening to this morning, a premier league expert had called in, saying that he wouldn't even write us off for top two this season, i dont want to get my hopes up too much, just to come crashing down, but grinding out results like yesterday didnt happen in the last few seasons. COYB

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Who was this premier league expert? As lets be honest, he is having a laugh. Top 2 will be Man City and Man Utd. That is a certainty. You are right to not get your hopes up mate.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be but a would not say certenley mike!! Liam!

Agree0 Disagree0

City's got no chance, would have to say Man U and Chelski.

I think we could be battling with city for 3rd or 4th

Would you take 30mil for felli ste45

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Everton are not in a position to turn that sort of money down, I don't think. I wouldn't take it as I'd prefer to keep him as he is irreplaceable in my view. But you can be sure DM will dig his heels in and get every last penny he can for him and the best deal for Everton. Or it could prove the catalyst for Moyes to move on if he doesn't want to sell and the banks are adamant they want paying. Only time will tell

Agree0 Disagree0

I pains me to say but yes. If Fellani played for Barca and Chelsea wanted him then it would be £50m. Still think the rich teams try to buy our players in the cheap

now peeps,im just been a realist here and am not knockin our good start but if we can just calm down bout champs football,we all would love it but in reality it wil be very difficult with are very thin squad,a couple of injuries to key players and we could find it hard to replace them, defence needs tighting up and we very short in midfield,we still hav 27 games to play and a difficult december to get thru so if we can stay top 6 up to xmas and sign reinforcements,we will have a great chance but until then i wil keep an open mind cus football can kick u in the teeth wen u least expect itCOYB,true blue, efc 4 life

Believable3 Unbelievable2

I'll start. Are you sure you're a blue? You sound like a red to me. What do mean we won't finish in the top 4? We are going to win the league, stop being pessimistic you kopite. And what do you mean we have a small squad? Every single player we have got is world class, especially Osman and Neville.

Mike you have lost it mate, the original post was worded differently than your posts, the OP speaks some sense, you just spout depressing crap, get over yourself fella, put a smile on ye face and try to embrace the love

Did you get Tristans previous job cos it would be right up your street

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Neville world class, are you having a laugh mate. Fed up of seeing him picked in midfield, the sooner Gibson is picked the better in my opinion, we could do with strengthenin this defensive midfield position. Think we need a centre half to partner jags, another forward with pace to take the pressure of Jelavic then happy days! Not far off from a qualityh side though, good times ahead! Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

I cnt be a kopite,im a realist,i didnt say we cnt get top 4,isaid it wil be very difficult ,if felli jelly or mirralas get injured we will struggle, mike u need to look at the bigger picture pal and dnt sound like the deluded rs,i be happy wit top 6,true blue efc 4 life

I know that true blue efc 4 life. I was just giving the stock responses that I always get for having the same opinion as you. I was just saving everyone else having a go at you. If you don't think we are going to win the league on here mate, you get abuse, trust me, I've had it for months now.

I really don't know who I want to win today, Chelsea or Liverpool. It's a win-win situation Blues, because we need the smaller struggling clubs like LFC to take points off our title rivals, plus we did a big favour for them yesterday. By beating Sunderland, Liverpool fans can sleep just a little easier knowing their relegation rivals lost and they have a better, be it slim chance of surviving relegation this season. Don't forget Liverpool, we've done you a big favour. Or it could go the other way and Liverpool lose, which suits me just fine too. Hmmmmmm, can you see our dilemma fellow Blues?

Right fellow blues ,Moyes said it a few weeks ago judge us after ten games .So here is my judgement ,can we grab top 4 yes ,Alan Shearer on motd Everton are favourites to grab 4th spot they really impressed me this seaon there a really good side they were not there best today but still won that is sign of a team that will be challengeing the big clubs this year well what do u think i say champions league here we come ......Stef the blue

Heard it too Stef, top man Shearer.

Also Le Tiss yesterday sang our praises and believe it or not Phil Thommo said some good things about us too, first time for him

I think we will get a few bob in Jan as the longer Moyes holds out on his contract the better it will be as the board will then dig into their very deep pockets to keep the man, hopefully it doesn't backfire though lol

Three players coming in Jan me thinks.

I suspect we will be the usual target for transfer rumours soon, gotta keep Felli for me as he is world class, can't see it though as money talks

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Oliver Holt also commented on SS that most journos are in agreement that we are favourites for that 4th place, and we have a great chance if we don't lose Fellaini in Jan.

Good morning to all,...eleven days av been tryin to grow a muzzy an all I got is a bit of bum fluff,I look like dartanyin,am half man half woman never mind,...anyway if big felly leaves for 30 mill I would go and get strootman and mertens from PSV,reckon you would get the 2 for 25 mill, mertens is like mirales but better and strootmans a left footed beast and only 22,and maybe we could try and nick marko Marin of Chelsea clever little player,..........tristen

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Agree with Mertens, saw him live Wales/Belgium and he's some player and was motm by a distance, not hard against Wales, but he's a great talent and still young. Not sure about Strootman, not seen much of him but I'd go for Mertens and another goalscorer/striker when the inevitable happens

Agree0 Disagree0

Strootman and Mertens are quality, but they wouldn't even consider coming here.

Mike

I would rather keep Fellaini

Agree0 Disagree0

MIKE !! Were everton ,and were a big club with tradition and history why would mertens and strootman not consider joining us, mike I enjoy your victor melldrew moments, but this time you have insulted me and all evertonians ,were sitting in fourth place in the best league in the world and you think were not capable of attracting players from the Dutch league, keep it real mike........tristen

Agree0 Disagree0

Same could have been said about Mirallas, Mike, some big clubs were after him also if he is to be believed. And none of the clubs he mentioned denied an interest. You seem to forget we are a big club, although we can't pay the wages some lesser teams can

Agree0 Disagree0

C'mon Mike, why do you feel the need to keep knocking us ? We're Everton, one of the biggest clubs in the country ! If you can't be happy now that we're in top 4 and have the best team we've had in 20 yrs and playing free-flowing, attacking, attractive to boot then you need an increase in your meds by the sounds of it. I'd hate to think what you were like when Walter was in charge. These players should consider themselves fortunate and honoured if we were ever interested as it would be a great achievement to pull on that royal blue shirt. Lighten up dude. NSNO...remember

Agree0 Disagree0

Av just worked out who mike is and why he's so bitter......it's mike walker....keep working on the sun tan mike

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not bitter, just realistic. We will NOT sign Strootman or Mertens. I'm just trying to stop people getting their hopes up, as it wont happen.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody said we were interested Mike, let alone we'd sign them. It was pure speculation on tristen's part that if Felli left he'd like to see Mertens and Strootman. There's nothing wrong with speculation as rumours and speculation are one and the same thing and this is a rumour/ banter page. I know for sure these players are attracting the attention of some big clubs, and we're top 4 in premier league with a very good chance of CL football. Why wouldn't they come and be virtually guaranteed a place in the starting XI as opposed to warming the bench at other clubs ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike, you're a person.

few would've thought kev mirallas would come to everton considering the interest from arsenal and other clubs, but he did, and he made the right choice.

there's no reason why other players aren't gonna see that, and realise the small club that's "exceeding expectations" in 4th place in the biggest league in the world is actually the real deal with world class players already. you said it yourself, even neville is world class

According to a web site paper talk this morning Chelsea are going to bid 30m for Fellaini in January and we are interested in 10m pound man Charlie Austin from burnley. Can't really see either of them if I'm honest but would anyone take 30m for Fellaini under the promise mr moyes could reinvest ALL the money?
BlueClarkey

Believable0 Unbelievable1

11 Nov 2012 11:20:34
Not me Clarkey, match winner

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Not in the January window as players who are wanted are notoriously difficult to get. If keeping him or losing him means the difference between CL or not then I would keep him, obviously, and then there's the chance he would stay another year if we qualified. In the summer, if we don't qualify then get as much as possible for him, we don't want or need an unhappy, disinterested player on our hands

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Nov 2012 11:39:35
LOL at Fellaini being worth £30m, also Chelsea already have too many midfielders - rubbish story all round

Agree0 Disagree0

If he wanted to go then we must hold chelsea to ransom. cash plus player deal

Agree0 Disagree0

You're probably right laughing at Fellaini and £30m, he's worth a little more in my opinion, at least £35m, possibly £40m in today's market. Given we paid £15m and he's now a much, much better player and still young we should milk as much money from whoever as possible. I'd take £25m + Ramires

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Nov 2012 18:07:03
Haha! 15 - 18m max, I think he'll go to Arsenal personally.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's worth £40m in my opinion

ToffeeMike

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you an Arsenal fan ? Sounds like you are. Why would Fellaini take a step down and go to Arsenal when he could play for any club side in the world quite comfortably ? And £15-18m max ? We paid £15m for him when he was just a young pup, still a little rough round the edges and had raw potential. Now he's twice the player, he's the real deal ! One of the best midfielders in the world on his day, and possibly the best all round, complete midfield player in the prem.

10 Nov 2012 23:57:59
Scraped a win in not a great performance - hopefully gibbo and hibbert back soon so we don't have to play nev and Ossie as centre mids together - and hibbo is better than Coleman - hopefully mirrallas not out too long - otherwise we need Donovan -

Great 3 pts though - I love it when we beat time wasters!!

mirallas is our best player, then fellaini, why are people not talking about him.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I love Mirallas, but hard to argue against Fellaini, I mean he basically picked this side up and carried us to the 3pts, had 2 brilliant moments which essentially won us the game despite a rather poor performance. Takes a special player to do that.

But I just love the way Mirallas plays and it is actually amazing how important he is to this side already, we look a better team with him in it, no doubt, but without Fellaini in the team, don't want to think about what would happen really.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini, at times, as unplayable and nobody can deal with him when he's on his game. Mirallas is a good player who will only get better over time, but in terms of importance to our team... the big fella every time, without him we'd more than likely have lost the last 2 games

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Nov 2012 23:23:19
Good result, not one of our better games. Reading and Norwich next two up, wont be easy, cant keep giving teams a 1 goal lead. Sad point today Mirallas injury, Hamstring depending on how bad it is it could be anywhere between 2 and 8 weeks, really hope its the lesser. What a serious player this guy is, need him back asap. I reckon Mirallas has been our best player since the Swansea game. Maybe able to get by for Reading and Norwich, but need him back for the next 2 after them which is Aresenal (H) and Man City (A). Anyway well done the lad today. COYB
