We ve got to get Kieran Tierney from Celtic, the lad is the best young left back in Britain.
If we don't sign him one of the top sides will!

Thought I saw riquelme, Fernandes having a pint with giroud and Walcott in town yesterday. We going to be linked with every man and his dog this window and the next. Hold on tight for bumpy ride, blues.

Big H. Thanks for the info not on twitter myself ( don't see why i should tell the whole world that i'm sitting on the toilet) sad though that all the kids need to express their views in public, twitter is a very dangerous place for unworldly children.

{Ed025's Note - its "net curtain twitching" for me S&m, thats why i dont do social media mate..

No need to tell the world, smokey but a call to the Admiralty to reassure them it's one of ours so the nuclear subs can stand down would be helpful.

You're welcome SAM. Not a big fan of Twitter etc myself as I just don't get the attraction of sharing every mundane aspect of my life with people I neither know nor care about. Conversations in the real world are becoming obsolete as billions walk around with their faces glued to their phones constantly checking how many followers they've got online 😂.

Does anyone else feel we are going to be sticking plasters this window and having a major overhaul in the summer, with a new manager. Simeone? (A man can dream) . Sam's done ok but need to get things moving attack wise.

Give him a chance mate window has just opened, plenty of time for quality recruits.

True gb but January is a notoriously tough time to sign quality. Fingers crossed we get a couple more quality players in.

hope so too mate, as this squad was inherited from Koeman.

4 games got us out of the brown stuff. the last 5 games have yielded 2 draws and 3 losses. Reality.

As much as I don't like Sam and his brand of football you can't give him such little time and not back him in the market.

I'm hoping he changes my opinion and he transforms us into an exciting team. He's not daft and should know we like to play good football at Everton. After all he's being reminded over it everytime he looks at the walls when comes to Goodison every game.

Let's give him a chance.

With you there BlueJohn, good post mate.

Obviously I'm not advocating for him to go. Just asking the question, would Mr moshiri try for simeone in the summer?
I agree Sam needs time but lots of people on here moaning about him because of the football we are playing (and may never change their opinions) . I'd like simeone but from what I have seen, he is like a Spanish Sam. His team's are always strong defensively and very rarely smash team's out of sight (I prepare to be proven wrong)

{Ed002's Note - Simeone will not be joining Everton.}

11 Jan 2018 20:49:32
Thanks ed. Only used his name because Mr moshiri apparently stated him as the one he wants. Never in a million years did I believe he would come, sadly.

They gave him an 18 month contract that’s basically end of the season and a payoff. We clearly needed a striker. Got one. That will be that in my opinion. Next appointment is the big one.

personally didn't want Sam but glad we have him now last five games have been poor as u say but he is playing with the exact same team koeman had so what was you expecting really?

let him build his own team over this window and the Summer and i think we could be top 4 next season under sam. he knows how to defend if he can get his own forwards in i believe we have a top manager on our hands.
give the man time for the love of all things blue he's only had a few weeks and we went from nailed on relegation battle to maybe europe again next year.

No we will be where we always should be and that is top 7. Who are you going to move in the top 4. It is going to be us Liverpool, Arsenal, Utd, Spuds. Happy with that.

I know its not a rumour, but this is exactly the type of stuff you want to hear coming out of your new signings mouth.

Love it Cenk la

"I would like to promise everyone here that I will run until I drop and I will work very hard for this club. "

He gets it.

If the media rumours are to be believed Everton and Southampton are interested in bringing Walcott to their respective Clubs. My take for what it is worth, firstly Bolasie in my view when fully fit and with a couple of games under his belt is every bit as good if not better than Walcott. Secondly and probably more to the point, Walcott is not going to choose to come 'Upt North' presuming of course both Clubs meet Arsenals supposed valuation.

2 many variables.
Granted Walcot strikes me as the type to make the easy decision. (Going home to Southampton) but if it's for career he should pick us.
I agree on the wing Bolasie is his equal but Walcot knows where the net is and can play up top (though not in an Allardyce team)

At 29 and with the injuries he's had, pace can't be as fast as it was. Always a bit lightweight. I say move on.

Agree2 Disagree0

11 Jan 2018 13:32:42
Difference between the two and I know I go on about it. is goals. Bolasie = 13 goals in 149 top flight games since 2012. Wallcott = 69 goals in 290 games. Whilst I accept one has played for a more successful team, this is the picture I have throughout our squad as assembled over the last 4/ 5 seasons. Players who just do not score enough goals. just like the Everton team. Not enough goals.

Agree2 Disagree0

11 Jan 2018 16:59:22
Agreed Degsyp.
I'm sure Walcots goals ratio has only improved in the last 5 years.
He had a spell leading the line and Bolasie wouldn't ever be used as a 9 anywhere.
I'm sure I remember Walcot being ropey in 1 on 1s with the goalie and could only score wonder goals. I know it was a big deal and Arsene trained the sh9t out of him to be a better finisher.
Still think he knows England is over so he may as well go home.
