So apparently RM has said he will sell Mirrallas and Naismith in January if they want to leave? So SN most likely to Norwich for £8m (believe that was the number they offered in the summer) and Kev everyone says £15m but I don't think we would get any more than £10m.

So £18m where would we spend it?

I'd say GK personally but RM is seemingly in love with Tim Howard. Interested to see what you guys would suggest to do with this potential money! (NB actually quite like both players so wouldn't mind them staying)

Add 10 mill to it and get Yarmolenko, i'm not giving in on this till he signs for a new club lol.

Kiev are through to the knockout stages in the CL aren't they? Don't think we have a chance anymore!

{Ed002's Note - Dynamo Kyiv managed to persuade Yarmolenko not to move this past summer and managed to get him to sign a new contract. There has been interest over the past year from Roma, Spurs, Stoke, Fiorentina, Everton, Inter and Dortmund. Bayer Leverkusen, Valencia, Napoli and Manchester City all dropped their interest and PSG, who were considering Yarmolenko as a possible option to replace Lavezzi this past summer, seem to have done the same - at least for now but there is a reasonable chance Lavezzi could move in January. Yarmolenko has expressed a desire to move to Barcelona or Chelsea - and there has been more than one approach made directly to the Chelsea to gauge their interest. Right now it looks like Barcelona are considering their options for a January bid, but much will depend for them on an entirely separate matter. Whilst an approach was made to the agent of Yarmolenko by Arsenal in the summer, nothing could be done. He spent the summer screwing everyone around and there is still a lingering view he could do the same in January. I don't know if anything can be done or if Arsenal or Barcelona will push, but Piero Ausilio was at a recent game to look again at him - so Inter might still be in the mix but they are looking elsewhere and are stumped for cash right now.}

I have a sneaky suspicion you copied and pasted that Ed. Looks very familiar. Can't blame you. Sick of Yarmolenko.

He is unproven anywhere appart from where he is. I think he'd be too much hassle for what he's worth. Could disrupt everything. I know people are mad for him. Not me, too much of a gamble along with the big fee.

Don't get me wrong if he signed and was a hit I'd be as delighted as anyone. Just think we should move on and try and sign someone else.

{Ed002's Note - The situation is unchanged - the words are pretty much as they were when I wrote them.}

I know Ed, that's basically what I was saying. Load of sh*te imo. Circus surrounding the signing of that player. I ignore what the rags say but hate the amount of talk about him here.

For 18 Mill I would much rather keep both players. I know we have Lennon but Del Boy is on fire. I have been the first to say don't change a winning team but perhaps we can change a drawing one. Mirallas and Del Boy attacking down the flanks scare defences it is as simple as that.

{Ed025's Note - i cant see mirallas playing DM, he fell out with martinez..and that man holds a grudge..

Yea, we seen it all with Distin last season.

NBTB, to be fair, Distin was dreadful last season.

No doubt Swan he was bad last season but he wasn't the only one. Plenty of other players were bad last season. The point is Distin never got a chance especially after December of last year.

Once you fall out with Martinez your doomed. That's the real point I'm making. Distin was wanted in the January transfer and wasn't allowed to leave. Even though it would of been better for everyone especially Everton if he was allowed to do so.

As far as I remember from January to May the only game he played in was the final game of the season for a farewell. Was the least he deserved.

Mirallas situation seems to be similar. Not as bad but pretty similar to Distins.

I was in Lytham last week shopping with the wife, she went into a card shop while I stood outside cursing being retired.
This bloke came down the road with his dog &
wife, she went into the shop and he stood outside like me.
When he turned round it was Moyes.
I said I had seen him on the t. v. with Irvin,
sitting in the empty stand at Bolton, I asked him what? they were up to. he just smiled.
It seemed sad that he was stood outside a card shop like me, at least I had an excuse being retired.
I then asked him if fancied a game of walking football with me and the lads from Fleetwood Town, his dog had a pee and he walked off down the road, leaving his wife in the shop.
I'll take that as a no then David.

Sure it wasn't Moyes that had a pee (especially after you taking the piss) and it was his dog that walked down the road.

{Ed023's Note - I was thinking Moyes myself but ed004 has just said Ryan Giggs could be appointed}

5/1 Giggsy now, never seen that one coming.
