Hi Guys please help,

Got a ticket for QPR but at late notice, (normally have them mailed in advance) they've sent me an email with a ticket download to print off.

Can I get in with this or do I still need to go to the ticket office?

Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Should be a barcode on it you just give it in at the styles and they scan it as far as I know.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes you can get in with it, just fold it along the lines as shown and use like a normal ticket. However, we have had a few teething problems with these, which might mean you have to exchange it for a "real" ticket. Might be a good idea to get there a bit earlier in case.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its all barcoded now so shouldn't be a problem if you have the bar code on the download paper work.

Honda doesn't do it for me. Just not the type of aggressive ball winning midfielder we need. Honda is a very good technical player, but we already have two of those in osman and gibson, as well as the likes of barkley, lundstram and green hopefully coming through soon.

At a lower cost, maybe 3-4 million I would take Honda, but I think it will be closer to the 8-9 mark if we are to get him.

Would much rather see someone like fer, capoue, mccarthy come in at a price like that. they fill our needs much more.

i think CB, CM and ST are our biggest needs. and there is a lot of talent out there at good prices in those positions. We just need to take positive action.

Honda would provide some creativity and fluid that we need, especially with the potential departure of Fellaini.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have a word with yourself mate comparing Osman to Honda is wrong on so many levels. You sound like Moyes talking and we all know he's a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to flair players over technical gifted players.

Agree0 Disagree0

We're going to need a replacement for Fellaini and I'd rather we went for a pacey, creative player than a like-for-like replacement. For a start it should reduce the number of hoofballs and may get Jelavic firing again with a creative player behind him playing through balls rather than him feeding off scraps from knock-downs, which isn't his game. And he would only cost £5-6m leaving us with a good amount for a strong, dominant, athletic CM.

Agree0 Disagree0

Honda is a good player, don't get me wrong, but I think he's a luxury player in a similar mold to osman (not saying they're the same quality). I question his ability to control the midfield by himself which is something we have struggled with in the past. I think gibson and/or osman are good enough to fill that creative role in midfield, but we still need someone who is capable of breaking up play and being a little creative as well.

and you can't tell me that honda would definitely cost 5-6 million, and I don't think we spend more then 8-9 million all up on midfield player/s (if that at all) as we still have other needs to address.

Evertom he would be cheap as he is a free agent in january and has said he won't be signing a new contract, I would love to get him or would you rather we sold Fellaini and with Neville and Hitz going you would rather we only had 2 midfielders? Or call up Francisco Junior who is awful, Honda would be cheap and would add more creativity to our midfield, with mirallas as our Bale or Ronaldo, Honda would surely be our Juan Mata or David Silva.

COYB!

Agree0 Disagree0

Honda's contract expires next January there is no way he will cost anywhere near the 8/9 million mark. I couldn't see a bid of around 5 million being turned down.

Lewis Holtby went for around 1.7 million I think with his contract soon to expire, his true value is 10x the amount.

toffee jack

Agree0 Disagree0

And what's wrong with a bit of luxury for once, look at super kev he's making us a better team

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest I wasn't aware that he was a free agent in jan. like I said at a lower cost I would have him, but for a player of his quality and reputation I assumed he would have to come at a much higher price. if it's something along the lines of 3 million I would of course take him.

PhilTheBlue: I never said anything about only having two midfielders, in fact I was saying that not getting honda at a high price would allow us to bring in more than one midfielder. while I do agree that honda is an excellent creative player and plays a similar role to silva/mata, you have to look at the players that play behind the likes of silva and mata and bale (mikel, yaya toure, dembele) that allow them to do what they do.

i think that is a problem for us. we've proven this year that we can be creative with the likes of mirallas and osman and gibson and pienaar, but we have struggled at times to stifle the creativity of other teams.

evertom

Agree0 Disagree0

That is exactly what I was referring to above Evertom. With the inevitable departure of the big Fella we should raise £20m+. Honda could come in for £5/6m and fill the void left by Fellaini in the number 10 role and would provide more creativity, pace and is a better passer of the ball thus creating more chances for a striker like Jelavic. With the remaining £14/15m we could sign a strong CM (Capoue would be my personal preference) allowing our more creative players to get forward more knowing they have a monster behind them breaking up the play. And depending on the cost, I think he'd cost around £12m?, we may have enough for Lescott or a young, up and coming CB. See this football management business is simple, no? ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahaha, I suppose we agree then! in an ideal world yes that would be great, but it's football and we are everton, nothing is ever that easy!

i suppose we'll just have to wait till the summer to find out what's going to happen.

Latest news in a newspaper is that spurs are going to offer us £6mil for contract rebel leon osman

Would you take it?

I would. he's been a great servant to everton but he is only a 60 minute player after that he can't track back or get the ball off the ground.

Believable4 Unbelievable8

I would snap Daniel Levy's hand off if he offered £6 million for Osman.
I just can't believe this is true though, as surely Spurs aren't that stupid.

Mike {Ed025's Note - not a big ossie fan then mike?..

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't mind him ed. He is never a £6 million player though. Seems way overvalued I think.

Mike {Ed025's Note - but not when you consider that henderson, and allen cost over £30m between them..

Agree0 Disagree0

I am a fan of Joe Allen, and I admit that he was overpriced. (Not bothered about Henderson). However Osman is nearly 32 and apparantly his contract talks have stalled. I just think if Spurs where to buy him (which I doubt they will), that they won't pay anywhere near £6 million. I would say he would go for about £2 million.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Osman is an everton fan, he's going nowhere. he has and will continue to be a great servant

Mike: You remind me of the paranoid android in Douglas Adams 'Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy' whose name was Marvin.

Spurs wanted Phil Neville off us summer before last!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ooh, the comment about Mike really being Marvin the Paranoid Android is too tempting. Marvin had a brain the size if a planet - I wonder which planet most of the posters think is appropriate for Mike? I expect those very naughty posters will suggest the planet named after a Greek god whose Roman equivalent is Caelus. Me - I like it that Mike speaks his mind in a non-abusive way and won't be bullied into conformity or political correctness. Besides, the entertainment value is priceless.

I would be happy with
Fer
Lescott
Honda
Depends if felli is sold. Do you think that is realistic Ed?

Go to website and look at the tribute to Phil Neville by Danny Bostock. Awesome tribute and should make all you Neville-Knockers shameful for your cricism of him.
Everton captain, Everton legend, True Blue!

We should be offering him a coaching position. Please don't knock my post before reading the Bostock tribute.

Degsypulford

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Who the hell is Danny Bostock?

Phil Neville is one of the very few players that I actually have respect for. How he managed to get by on so little ability is testament to the hard work that he has put in in his career.

He has been a good captain, but legend is a bit too far for me.

Mike {Ed025's Note - it would be!..

Agree0 Disagree0

I wasn't having a go ed. It was a compliment to the hard work that Phil has put in. Not with the most ability, but someone who worked hard to get where he got to.
Would you class him as a legend ed?

Mike {Ed025's Note - no mike, but certainly a great servant and ambassador for the club..

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree ed. That is what I have been trying to say, but haven't really explained it very well. I respect Phil and I can't say that about many players. I just don't class him as a legend.

Mike {Ed025's Note - fair enough mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

It`s on Kipper, good read.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for the info Bluefish just read it and agree its a good read. I'm with you Degsy I would have liked to see him on the backroom staff but I think he would rather play. I wouldn't be supprised if he turns up at QPR next season

Agree0 Disagree0

I just think out and out pro's like Neville are few and far between. I also think a few signings we made during his time were probably influenced by him and they would have joined other clubs except for his professionalism. Look at his achievements with Utd and how he nearly achieved with us. Some are just natural born leaders in sport and war. Neville is one of them. eg Remember the Ronaldo tackle and how our season changed? A few fans have been knocking him lately and saying it's good to get rid of him. My personal opinion is that its better to have people like that on your side. I do understand he had limited ability, but so did Bobby Moore and Nobby Styles and we won the world cup with them.
Degsypulford {Ed025's Note - your right degsy mate..good post..

Well Eds what do you make of this week, neville comes out that he is going at the end of season, its reported that osmans contract talks have stalled. Then moyes comes out with that mirrallas may not have what it takes to be at everton or in the premier league, a very strange comment about a player. I reckon moyes maybe moving on.

From all the teams who may be relegated reading, QPR, Wigan, Sunderland, Villa, stoke, Norwich, what players do people think would improve our squad when u think we may need a few new faces if we get into Europe or our ageing squad. McCarthy (Wigan) Fletcher & Johnson (Sunderland) Benteke whatever happened to albrighton maybe Delph, Nzogbia And Bent (Villa) Begovic, Shawcross & N'Zonzi (Stoke) Ruddy, Hoolahan & Holt. I know some of these may not improve our starting 11 but would be suitable squad players. Thoughts?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Di Santo is out of contract this summer, he's a decent squad player, as is Kone. Wouldn't take Johnson to be honest, Fletcher probably overpriced. I like Andi Weimann from Villa and of course Benteke, and Brad Guzan's a good keeper. Don't want to see Shawcross near the club, but Begovic is fantastic, and we were in for N'Zonzi before. Ruddy's decent, but seem injury prone for a gk, wouldn't want Holt, Hoolahan and Pilkington are decent but not really an improvement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think villa stoke or wigan will go down but if they did then Begovic, Benteke, Mccarthy, Shawcross and Weimann would be my choice.

If you could get the QPR players in for a trial first I would take a look at Cesar, Onuoha, Park, Remy and Wight-Phillips

Just read that article myself mate, load of tosh, can't believe Moyes would say the following snippets:

"I look at him and he's signalling to me with 15 minutes to go - so maybe he's not quite got what's required at Everton or the Premier League.

Has anyone heard him actually say this on camera?

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon that will stop once he fully gets used to the Premier League. Big step up from Greek football, and with his long term injury, his fitness has suffered and not only did the injuries take a toll on his body, I would imagine they affected him mentally and needs time and a good run of games to get over that.

I expect next season we will see the full potential of Kevin Mirallas, and from what I have seen, am very excited, really could be our best player next season I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read the article and came on here to quote the exact part that Degsy has. Has Moyes seriously said this? 'maybe he's not quite got what's required at everton or the premier league?' Is he serious? How he can even utter those words baffles me. The guy is a class act and is a naturally attacking player who is being asked to play on the right wing and track back every two minutes. No wonder he's knackered and getting injured. But to say he might not have what's required? And to say it now, after the guy through his individual brilliance has just won us 4 points and kept us in its a sniff of 4th. Epic Moyes PR fail in my opinion
Hank

Agree0 Disagree0

It's hard to take this as completely true,
I mean DM doesn't do public character assassinations of his own players.

This is normally kept in the dressing room as a slap down or even more likely the managers office for a ''good talking to'' session.

Blue247 {Ed025's Note - i agree 247..

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't worry, if moyes is still here next season, he will be able to take away all of Mirallas' natural ability. Then Kev can become the workaholic donkey that moyes obviously desires in his forward players.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know what to make of it. Footballers along with other professional athletes are told if they feel pain to stop to prevent further injury. I also can't believe Moyes would say that about Mirallas when he has just said he is Everton's Gareth Bale.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have none of you stopped to think maybe moyes has said this to get to kev and then kev might actually take it seriously and try and prove moyes wrong and show that he can make it at the club and in the prem

Agree0 Disagree0

A young Zlatan was asked by Mr Wenger to prove himself. He told him to **** off. Kevin has nothing to prove. His ability and attitude is there for all to see. If Moyes wants him to not be knackered and injured he should be a 'manager' and play him in his proper position which is free role, the go wherever you want and do whatever you want place. Let the less talented, less creative midfield put the shift in.
Hank

Agree0 Disagree0

DM has a point KM is only playing 70 mins a game if he was able to give a full 90 mins being effective then maybe we could have taken 3pts against spurs. I also believe if he would have been fit all season we would have more points on the board but that's life it is the same with fellaini if he wouldn't be suspended for games we would have more points. But every team has injuries and suspensions its just unlucky that they are 2 of our best players.

Also like to say that phil neville has been a great player for the club and good luck to were ever he goes in the future, but got a feeling he's going state side to join Cahill at NYRB
