So I see Rooney rumours resurfacing. Doubt they are true but still interested to hear what others would think of him coming back to the toffees?

Tbh i'd have him back in a flash.

30 plus now. Need to look to the future not the past.

Why have him back in a flash? Nostalgia maybe. Been benched for past 3 man utd games and just been benched for national team. He is in decline imo. Better players out there.

As long as he is willing to drastically reduce his ridiculous salary, why not? He would provide both competition and a mentor for Barkley which would do him the world of good. He would also pay for himself in terms of revenue.

{Ed002's Note - How would he pay for himself in terms of revenue?}

Not as a midfielder but up front I'd take him as a spare for Rom.

He'd want to play every week with us and I'm not sure where he'd go.

{Ed002's Note - And he would be very expensive and it would show Everton to be a backward not forward looking club. I am suprised that you see this as a viable way forward for the club.}

I think Blue Tommy is referring to increased revenue - higher match attendances, shirt sales etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Unless you buy your shirts from the club's official outlets any extra money from shirt sales goes to Umbro and the seller. A Sports Direct or JD Sports could sell a million jerseys with Rooney on them and Everton wouldn't get a penny in extra income.}

The fact we are tied to a Kitbag deal also means we have a set revenue regardless of sales. I'm on the no going back train myself, he is the wrong side of 30 now, we should be looking forward not back.

I hope that Moshiri and co' are looking at that kitbag deal. It smacks of small club desperation deal to me. And ditch Chang whist they're at it. Should never have a sponsor that can't be put on the front of a junior shirt.

Ed002 i agree. If he was a free which he won't be and he drops his wages by 250k which he won't I'd have him as a second choice striker which he wouldn't. That's probably more acurate to what i was suggesting.

You are right in that it gives off totally the wrong impression.

My bad for mentioning revenue. Firstly because I should know better than to mention money on here and secondly because I completely forgot about the kitbag deal. Probably because I was hoping it would go away! Awful business.

Jono Rooneys Mojo is back at Everton, in Niasses locker, now if we could locate that locker it could be the second coming.
