Here's a hypothetical quandary for you guys - You're in the pub one night & beautiful twin sisters make a beeline for you making it patently obvious they both fancy you & are up for it. You then find out one of them is a Liverpool supporter & the other voted Tory. Which do you choose? (Oh, & Ed025, you can't have both!)

Believable7 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - it would have to be the tory tezza, look slike they are going to give us it up the jaxi for another 4 years..so it would be like a revenge mission for me mate :)

The Ross Barkley Conundrum.
At best and its time we stop all the Ballack, Gascoigne, Rooney, Zidane nonesense, he will be a really good Club player, and that's only if he bucks the trend. Name me one player, whatever your age that has been a great British player that at some stage youve liked? Seriously, every player you mention you will have disliked at some point, because of their nastiness, slyness, stubborness and sheer will to always want the ball. Ross doesn't have any of these qualities at present so if he becomes a great British player he will be bucking the trend. Grow some Ross you're 21 now, Alan Ball won the World Cup at 21, and Gerrard was running the RS midfield at that age too.

11 May 2015 08:20:36
You can't say " stop all the Ballack, Gascoigne, Rooney, Zidane nonesense" and then start comparing him to Ball and Gerrard.

I do agree we need to get off his back and let him become a good club midfield player though. 21 is still a very, very young age in footballing terms and I don't think he has a manager that will get the best out of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 May 2015 17:56:42
I never compared him to Ball n Gerrard, merely pointed out that is where he has to aim if he wants it. that's what I've said, he hasn't got what these players have, so is miles away from these comparisons the so called experts are making, with his Manager the chief culprit.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2015 09:03:14
You're comparing what they had done at 21 to what Ross has done. I just want him to be his own man.

You can relate traits of other players like passing, running, shooting, defending, etc but you can't expect him to emulate another persons career.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2015 21:42:35
Totally don't understand that reply, it makes no sense. I am not the one saying what he is compared to, but all the so called experts, i'm merely showing you why they are wrong and that he is just going to be a half decent club player, unless he bucks the norm, as to be a great player that all the experts say he is look at what he needs to do, got no chance!! Any clearer!

{Ed025's Note - not for me streety im afraid mate..

10 May 2015 11:08:39
Id take it under the condition that we had a squad over haul and 6 or seven new QUALITY players to the club. But that won't happen, so its a no from me.

Not for me mate, not unless we get a lot of players in.

No thanks. I'd be happy to never be in the competition again. They need to change it from the Thursdays or move domestic games to the Monday.

I think you also start at the first qualy round. The players need a rest this summer and we need to have a proper pre-season after last years debacle.

I also think we all need a break from Everton to recharge our batteries for next season. I feel exhausted this year and it seems to have gone on forever.

I loved our Europa League performances this season. We should be aspiring to regularly be in Europe and at the moment Champions League is out of our reach. I particularly enjoyed travelling to both Lille in France and Young Boys in Switzerland with over 5000 fellow Blues. An experience I will never forget. Certainly more atmosphere in those two games than we have generated at Goodison this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 May 2015 08:42:20
I totally agree with what you say about the european matches. There are no other matches like it away from home.

However, the format means we will struggle again in the league next season and we will be in danger again. Until this is change it will be a struggle. I honestly don't know why they won't change it to the week in between the CL and the Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Am almost desperate, what the hell do we have to do, to get this arrogant recking ball out of our club. At least part of the problem, is that he actually believes his own propaganda. Yes, we were a bit unlucky to-day, but, there is more than a little truth in the saying that you make your own luck. Bill kenwright, lacks either the guts to admit he made a massive error of judgment, or the cash to make good his mistake and pay him off. I don't know which explanation is true, but if he will not fezz up, then just to protect their investment, the other members of the board, should relive one or both from their posts.

Unfortunately the clown is still in charge of the circus dear me bill now is the time to pull the plug.
Those performances from December to February in the league were some of the worst I've seen & I thought it was bad under Walter smith.

The problem some fans seem to have is that they think BK has full running of the club on his own. He is the chairman, the public face of the board, probably because he likes the limelight more than other board members. Decisions are not made by him alone, the faceless, and wealthy, members of our board probably hold more sway than him. I can't foresee a time where the rest of the board will act without BK, to get rid of him or the manager (as a post above suggests).
It is frustrating, as a fan of a few decades, to see other clubs get taken over by wealthy men/women, some of which are not steeped with the history our club possesses. But, despite what others may say about him, I'm glad we have a chairman who has a connection with the club, someone who wouldn't sell us out just to make a quick quid. The likes of Blackburn, Cardiff and Leeds are three good examples of how wealth doesn't always secure success on the pitch. There are more examples that could be used but you get the picture.
Now, I'm one who has no trust in our manager and think he has pulled the wool over the eyes of many. I didn't want a man who had been relegated with another team but his first season certainly blagged me. This season has been a washout, the football played has been poor, we look like we have no idea how to break down teams unless we let the opposition have possession and then counter them. Good players have looked average at best, their ability to do what they are best at is hamstrung by a 'philosophy' of passing the ball around the back for 90 minutes. There is no doubt that our euro tramps league adventure has bought him time in the job, but have we really improved since being knocked out? Yes, we have picked up points, going undefeated for a few games. But, in my opinion, we have still not played anywhere near the levels of last season. We have rode our luck against lesser teams, even against the mancs we weren't great we just hit them on the counter. We should not be placated by one result, the football served up is still disjointed and the jury is still out on RM. I've said before on here that he will get until October/November to turn things around or the ENTIRE board will have a decision to make. I'm not too sure that I want RM to spend any available cash in the summer, judging by the majority of his transfers, and the fact his honeymoon period is well and truly over, should he be given cash to spend his way out of the mess he has created?

Appreciate your comments Spudv but whether B.K.prefers limelight more than other board members matters not 1 jot.
Some other premier league managers I.e.warnock,Lambert,Irvine,redknapp 2 name a few have all lost their jobs this season & I would argue we were playing worse than any of those I've mentioned yet marmite man is still here.

In my opinion Jonsey, if we get rid of BK then the board must go with him. He takes a lot of flack while the rest of them, all worth quite a few bob, seem to blend in to the back ground. The fact he puts himself in the limelight, as chairman, makes people think he is fair game, nothing more nothing less mate. I'd rather see fans have a go at them all as we will never progress if they are always in the shadows, refusing to spend any of their wealth to improve us as a club. Just my view mate.
With regards to the manager, I agree he has survived where others would have been given their marching orders. The only reason I can see why is to do with our relative success in europe (ie winning through the group rounds). I can't see anything getting better between now and december to be honest. If it was up to me then I would have pulled the trigger in January. I do believe he's on borrowed time though

He likes the limelite when was the last time you saw him the day he made the ridicoulous statement He won me over by saying he would get us champions league yes that's right almost 2 years ago when he brought the little napoleon into the press room for the announcement he was our new manager since then he has gone awol as for the rest of the board 9 out of 10 don't even attend a game because they are in it for the sky money and nothing else they don't have any love or affection for the club like we do as fans so yes he will stay and yes the same old board will remain until the premier league decide that goodison park is not a fit and proper premier league stadium they will sit on there arses and do nothing

For the first time in over 30yrs of being a Blue its reached the stage where I'm startin not to care. I'm not angry or surprised by poor performances. I'm now watching games as a force of habit rather than because I want to. The enjoyment, fun and excitement has gone. Even in the Dark days of the 90's I looked forward to the games even if it was more in hope than expectation but not now. Things are so bad my 7yr old doesn't even ask about the score anymore. He's lost all interest in football and I can't say I blame him.

The season is finished. Maybe the break will do me good because for the last few months its started to feel like I am too.
