Great win today for the blue men! Osman was outstanding, so too was Fellaini, Heitinga and Jelavic.
Although Jelavic was great today, i would rest him for the derby and play Straq against there back line, and drop Coleman for Pienaar, save them both for the Quarter Final

Just back from the game...

I have to say, can we not think of a new song other than 'never felt more like singing the blues, Everton win and Liverpool lose'? Getting a bit tired of singing it now!

Haha looking forward to Tuesday - everyone get in the Winslow before heading over the park!

Just an added thought - reckon Moyes new that a 'gentelman's agreement' with Arry means nothing so had the same chat with Saha...

'If you get a chance at goal lad, be a gent and miss will ya?'

Nice one King Louis...

not a rumur, just an observation, there was a deal that saha would not play [ unless there was an injury crises] no injury crisis, but looking like loseing, happy harry brings him on. This man has no integrity, what so ever, makes you wonder about jury desions. and as this man has won one competition in 34 years, the fa cup against a second division team. his record and his lack of integrity he should no be considered to manage england.

There's an old saying that everything happens for a reason. Well, the RS lost today, we beat Tottenham and now go to within touching distance of our nasty neighbours.
Come Wednesday Moyes celebrates ten years at the helm; if we win on Tuesday night we go above them. What a great way that would be to celebrate his tenth anniversary.

Behind Blue Eyes {Ed025's Note - lets hope so mate..

Early rumours around the ground that the team is howard, neville, heitinga, distin, baines, drenthe, fellaini, osman, coleman, cahill, jelavic.....
If it is i'l be happy, neville out of midfield and save the Straq for the derby so he can bully the LFC defense! COYB

Hey Ed, haven't posted on here in a while, but after reading a comment on the Liverpool page, I felt the poster made a good point. I'm not going to copy/paste it onto here because its pretty long, but I’ll give you a summary of it.
Basically the poster was talking about the current Barcelona team and how it consists mostly of players who graduated from their youth academy, such as Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, plus Pique and Fabregas who came from their academy and were bought back. They also have some very talented young players coming up like Alcantara and Tello, who will most likely make up the bones of their team in the future. He said how this has created a sense of togetherness at Barcelona which isn’t at any other club.
I was just thinking about it, and I would love to see a future Everton team that consists of a majority of players from our academy. If all the players live up to expectations, we could have a strong team with George Green, Ross Barkley and the Duffus brothers, to mention a few. I know we will need to buy in a few players like every club has to, but I think it could be a possibility. The players will have grown up together and strong bonds will have grown between them, which isn’t the case with players who are bought in as they have to take time to settle.

I was wondering aswell, would it be possible for you to create a page on the this website that focuses on our youth players? It would be really interesting to get a look at our future.

Breeno {Ed001's Note - what kind of page would you like? I admit I have a fascination for youth football myself, I always like to look for the next big thing, to see if I can spot someone who will make it. But I am not sure what kind of page you would like? Perhaps you could email me using the contact form so we can discuss what you mean?}

I could just tell you here Ed001. You know on this page, you have different links to other pages like Everton Rumours and Everton Teams. Make one for Everton Youth Players.
You could make it like a profile page, where you give some information about the player (e.g. Age, Position), what’s being said about them and, if possible, how they are doing in the academy and in the youth teams. The SkySports website has a Scout page where they talk about young players and rate their potential; you could model the page off of that.
If it’s possible, you could keep us up to date with their progress and any other thing that are going on which are football related such as contracts and call ups. I'm sure there are a few people who post here that can help you out as well.
Also, these are the main players I want to learn more about:
George Green
Duffus brothers
Arlen Birch (he's on the England u16 team with George Green, but I've never heard of him)

Breeno {Ed002's Note - It would not be worth of a page of its own but we would be more than happy to post information and views about the younger players at Everton. I personally know little of youth football but I am sure some of teh Everton Supporters would help out in doing this. If Ed024 or Ed025 are around at all I am sure they will give their views as Everton supporters as well. So it is perhaps something the Everton fans could give a real hand with. Thanks for the input.}

Hi ed, and fellow regular posters what do you think our 11 will be today dan {Ed001's Note - sorry to say, but I expect Neville to start in midfield, though Osman must be close to getting his place, he certainly looked fit in the mini derby.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with Ed, Neville will start, Rodwell not ready for a start yet, Osman looked sharp in the mini-derby but Moyes won't play Osman with Fellaini, although i think Osman may start though
