With only Felli, Gibson Osman and Barkley as recognised central midfielders at the club RM will spend the rest/majority of his funds on a centre mid, the loan signing is genius as it will push first teamers excite fans and cost nothing.
What I like most is lots of people felt Bobby would be Bills yes man, it certainly seems he took the jobs on his terms and is making the board work which is great.
One more 6-10mill signing centre mid and we will have a proper squad on our hands, Heitinga can go to balance books on wages and the smaller transfers keep everyone else and it will be the best transfer window we have had in 11 years

If felli stays and I hope he does I think bobby going to play him in his natural position of defensive midfielder. then I hope to see the best brought back out of jella. bobby going to go for the jugular of prem teams with the few attackers signed. and I don't think the signings have ended either

QB {Ed025's Note - i expect 1 or 2 more QB, and i expect one to be a marquee signing mate..

Just heard from a mate (not an amazing source) that ever benaga will be the next signing. Is this one a goer? Plus is he any good?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fantastic player, nearly signed a few years back but couldn't get a visa, bit of a headcase - (ran over his foot with his car, and posted a video of himself w****** online) but an immensely talented player.

I hold my hands up. I was one of the negative blues expressing my disappointment at the underwhelming appointment of Roberto Martinez
I now stand corrected and I feel that EFC and in particular Bill Kenwright should be congratulated on the way they have conducted themselves over the past few weeks
The signing of FOUR players in three days in JULY is unheard of around our great stadium
Ok they may not be stellar signings but we have action at last
My first thought when I saw the news break about Deulofeu was "what's the point he'll never get a game" than I realised David Moyse is no longer at the club
We have lost a good manager who has left the club in a better position than when he took over - for which I thank him, but we now have an exciting attacking manager who will not "bottle it" in the big games and will pick players on merit and not friendship
With the likes of Barkley, Stones, Kennedy not to mention any other additional signings, we have a great mix of young and experienced talented players
I truly believe that this season more than ever with the changes at the top clubs we have a real opportunity to cement our place as a top 5 team
Welcome to Everton Football Club Roberto, you have my full backing and I will be there week in week out to support you and everything you do

New Back Room Team

Really pleased with our new found urgency in the transfer window it can only be a good thing getting all the new faces in early enough to settle in, priority now is to hold on to Baines and fellaini and tbh another couple of additions may make them think we are progressing and can be more competitive next season, hopefully they will both decide on at least another season to see if we progress and qualify for Europe, if that doesn't happen then we will have to accept they will move on next summer, really optimistic about next season, coyb

I'm feeling strangely optimistic for an old bitter blue. I can't remember us signing this many players pre season since 1980ish, when we signed Alan Biley, Mick Ferguson, Peter Easto and co, hopefully that's were the comparison ends, although a couple of years later we did win the league. How is it Al Fayed can say he wants to sell Fulhum in the morning and pretty much have a buyer on advance talks within the day, I know things happen behind the scenes before hand but damn that's quick. I'm no BK hater and think he's doing a good job but if Fulhum can get a buyer that quickly why can't we!

1. They have no debt as Al Fayed bankrolls them
2. They are in the capital city
And finally
3. They will go for half of what our board wants for us

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually degsy its reported Al Fayed wants 150 - 200 mil for fulham which is about same although I guess when you add in the debt it is a bit more but then again we are a bigger club {Ed025's Note - far bigger al..

OK. We have the Barca wonder Kid and we have a new keeper with the potential to be good/great. Add them with the other two squad players we just signed and I for one think things arn't looking to bad. If we add just another one or two (won't be Fer as he is almost a Norwich player) and only loose one or two fringe players then I for one will be a happy teddy bear. So sorry Johnny. Time to cash in on you.

With 3 signings made and the fourth just about complete for Delefonsu on loan, if we can bring in Honda 4m and Moses on loan that would be the icing on the cake. If Fellaini was to leave we should bring in McCarthy and Diame. Honda must be the priority now. My prediction for the out goings Johnny to move on 2.5m Fenebache in the next week or two. Gueye to go out on loan. Naismith to Cardiff for 3.5m after the season starts. Not a lot to ask.

From what's been said by him, it's obvious that Fer would have come to us if we wanted him - so we can't have done. This leads me to one of 2 things - a) Fellaini is staying or b) We have someone better lined up. Either way, I'm pleased. i'm ecstatic with the Deulofeu deal, and Robles is a great signing 2 imo. Alcaraz good on a free, Kone I'm a little underwhelmed but i'm sure hell be fine. Anyway, very very excited about this season, hopefully we'll get a couple more in too (sounding like the likes of Diame, Honda etc atm)!

So many people being negative makes me sick. I'm not going to judge anyone by what they post on the Internet but let me ask a question, for most people I know the answer if we had a terrible season and got relegated what would u do? Some posters on here would without a doubt jump ship. We shouldn't complain so much. we had a manager who brought us success (I'm not having any argument that says he never) but we complained about his style of football. We bring in a manager who is known for playing good football with any quality of squad and we keep moaning. As normal most evertonians will support the club. In rm we trust

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really hope people stop mentioning Fer. We have a brand new manager now, who will have different targets, clearly Fer was a Moyes target! (technically was his 3rd choice). Find it funny how every Everton fan seems to rate him so highly, and yet the only club to come for him are Norwich and for not even 5mil, surely that tells you something?

Moyes is in the past, have faith in Martinez and his targets, the man clearly has a plan, and after this Deulofeu signing, who knows who else he has in mind for Everton.

Early business, can't complain.

Worried if we don't significantly strengthen CM soon though. Gibson & Felli solid but can't account for Felli wearing Blue on the first day of next season. martinez should call united's bluff and say, right you or any club have one week where we will listen to any bids. although we won't accept those bids, any bids after the week is over will be binned straight away and rejected. and secondly we quickly need to offer baines a new deal. sit him down, offer a 5 year deal worth 80k a week to see his career out at everton. if he signs he's staying. if he rejects then sell him

When Martinez came in he promised Kenwright CL football and said all the right things.

Since then he has signed 3 players who were relegated with him last season and interested in Moses; who he also had at Wigan.

Obviously money is not being made available for a top player hence Alcaraz and Kone who were cheap and poor players.

Ed0025 are you still optimistic for this season or do you see a serious drop down the table? Without Baines, Fellaini and Moyes I am very sceptical. {Ed025's Note - i expect us to have a very good season mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wish people would stop whining on about these players getting relegated Good players play in teams that go down all the time. Why can't we just give them all a chance before we start judging if they are any good or not. I honestly thought our fans had more intelligence than this some of them sound like Kopites : (

Moyes took us up a level. Let's get behind the team and Robbie and see if he can do the last bit of a push for a Champions League spot. If he doesn't make it this season then we have another go next season. You all have to remember the sort of money that the two Manchester clubs are spending as well as Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and the sh*te. That makes 6 teams who will considerably out-spend us. let's wait and see how we do eh?

I think its to do with the fact they are based in London mate that would be about it, cause were a much bigger club than them but I think it is just down to location.

Their value is cheaper mate. Also their president relishing to do only sport business.

Agree0 Disagree0

They are not cheaper they are going for the same price as us the owner wants between 150-200 million the same sort of price we are for sale. There squad is old and not worth a thing neither is their stadium and they are getting it expanded meaning they are having to pay millions for that to happen they are also in debt because of that. The only thing that makes them attractive is that they are a London club in a very nice expensive area in London.

Mucha, hitzlsperger and Neville out. Robles, alcaraz and Kone in. We are back to having the squad level as last season - £6.3m. Maybe we need to sell heitinga now to recoup some of that money, maybe gueye might get a chance under Martinez different type of management and before everyone slates me saying he sh*** all I mean is roberto will let people express themselves and boost their confidence rather than rant and be a disciplinarian it is a clean slate for every player. If we only sell heitinga I think we will sign 2 others a winger on loan and a cm as our marque signing. But if fellaini or baines go then I think we will bring in maybe another 3 or 4 the likes of diami etc. I am really excited for the season ahead and looking forward to see us playing possession football, my only concern is our 4 strikers Kone, jelavic, anichebe and velios is this prolific enough to get us CL? I think Kone will be a good addition a but like Marcus bent hold the ball up and put a shift in hopefully allowing jelavic to stay around the box where he is a natural finisher. If we sign this lad from Barcelona I know it is only for a year he is rated very highly over in Spain but 1 thing is for sure he will fall in love with Everton after a season and who knows maybe one day in the future we might get a chance to sign him for real and he would of already had a taste of the mighty toffees.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we get him and he does well I reckon a second season may happen on loan to us

Jus heard fullam are about to be bought out for 200 million wot a joke that's how easy it is to sell a club if its really up for sale

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You read the article wrong 200 million is how much money the current Fulham owner has put into the club. Fulham is for sale for around 140 million

Agree0 Disagree0

The thing is if you're a mega rich arab its all about location location lcation unfortunately - west london

they want to be able to swan around in their super luxury cars eating in their super exclusive restaurants etc - five minutes from their super duper pads

a proper mega rich football supporter would choose everton though with its history of 9 titles - 4th in the league in the title winners

but Kenwright doesn't want to sell does he - would you sell everton if you owned it and you were bobbing along nicely in 6th without spending a penny of your own money? (whilst sitting on an unrealised profit of over 100m on your initial investment?

He's here to stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL, they aren't being bought for 200mil.

That is how much the current owner has plowed into the club.

No one will be interested Dentie, overpriced mate, think they want 150 million for us.

Had a look at Google this morning at how much clubs should be sold for (are valued at), think they had us at 102 million, West Brom was worth more than us apparently

great two signings yesterday COYB, in other news aparently Lescott can leave City for £5m? (read that in the telegraph), Aparently Honda is 50/50, if he wants European football he'll go to Milan and if he wants English football and european football next year - he'll come here! Deulofeu to sign on loan but Moses may still be signed, also, the Diame deal is close!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We have shown an interest in Diame and that's it so far the deal is not close. Martinez worked on the three signings we've got for weeks and so it will be a couple of weeks at least now until the next signing which hopefully will be Deulofeu.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fellaini and Heitinga will leave and Baines will stay. And I think we'll get 3 more signings.

Agree0 Disagree0

Honda and delefou/Moses on loan heitinga only exit

We will not sign Moses unless Baines leaves reasons Martinez can't wait to work on the pienaar Baines relationship and let's me realistic he will never drop mirallas

Absaloutely great to be a blue right now! So happy! Joel in for a million basically on a 5 year deal, alcaraz for free and kone to score all the goals! Think we should go all out to bring honda in what a signing that would be aswell as either moses or deloufoue (spelling) on loan to add depth and pace. Might be a tad excited but hey ho WERE going to WIN THE LEAGUE!

Fans who are being negative towards Kone, Alcaraz and Robles, where did exactly we sign a certain Leighton Baines from?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mate we could sign curly larry and mo and I'd still be excited

Well I must hand it to Roberto, he does his business quickly. Albeit they're really only squad players it still took Moyes 3 years to bring in 3 new faces. I do think after taking us apart last season Kone will prove to be a very shrewd signing, 5m for any premier league striker is pretty cheap these days.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not fussed that they are squad players, it is what we need. Starting XI wise, aside from a striker, it can compete with Spurs and Arsenal. However, squad depth, that is where we fall behind Spurs and Arsenal. Adding these 3 add to our squad and provide more competition for places, which is only a good thing for us.

Just need a midfielder or two to give us some depth at that position then I really hope we can keep our star players and we are set.
