. well, a dream window for me would be Yarmalenko, Byram, Isco, Gordon Banks and a club takeover! Isco will stay @ Real (lol) for now, Gordon Banks has been retired now for sometime but could prob. still do a better job than Howard. but Yarms, Byram and that takeover are all distinct possibilities!

There is a distinct possibility that Yarmolenko will become the new Riqueleme!

Yarmalenko again, is there an EGM or AGM in the offing. Is he really better than what we have already.

Exactly duncansmum. Mirallas hardly gets a game. Mirallas is proven in the premiership. Besides is Yarmolenko better than Mirallas? Not clear cut to me. I say, play who we have.

Instead of gambling big money on a player who doesn't seem like he wants to play with us. And is unproven anywhere except in his current league. Rather keep Mirallas and Naismith. Sell Kone and maybe buy a decent striker.

Afder all the none stop presure we have had from chelsea, (J. Stones) could not quite belive the cheek of some of their supporter geting up tight about a single inquiery about their second choice keeper. Yes he is a very good player, but most players in their late 20s would sureley rather be playing than keeping the bench warm!

I can't understand why he would go there JC, he is probably one of the top 5 keepers in the prem and he wants to sit on the bench and play cup games, says something to me that mate, think we should keep clear and find a keeper who likes a challenge and not one who is just influenced by £££££.

One of the Bosman Ruling impacts that I personally do not like is the unfortunate filling of newspaper columns of claptrap rhetoric that explodes with journalists, agents and players wishes, perceived or otherwise, that the employer has absolutely no control over. The use by the nationals to fill column space is both insidious and uncontrollable. Take today - if believable - Romulo is already a PSG player and John Stones is on his way to Madrid. I can of no other employment where this practice occurs. Why are European footballers so preferred when the commercial terms of present day are so obviously beneficial to the individual? If I paid 5.0 million a year to each of my players I would want confidentiality, loyalty and silence terms included in legal rock solid contracts. I would only sell at end of contract or continue. The choice of the owner. Perhaps this is the heart of the conundrum that is EFC. How in the future to protect EFC, its values, expectations and history in the face of bleak commercialism. I have seen the rain that flies in the face of the employers that is the outward face of the commercial market that is NHL, NFL, NBL and why they have gone the way they have. 1st pick to the lowest team and so on. How else, they argue, from here can new investments be secured from owners but look at the show! 30mins in every 60 given to adverts making for very long live games. Take your pick.

Dunno if anyone else noticed but Ed Stewpot Stewart ex Radio 1 DJ and lifelong Blue passed away almost unnoticed in the media. Always mentioned the team when doing Radio 1 spots. RIP.

What's changed? Everything really. The fact that he doesn't want to come to Everton and is using every club possible to push up his price. He's only using Everton mate. Wouldn't go there at all imho.

I think it bedside third club messed us around and more people want a striker and gk.

I know it's a huge IF but I was reading some article about a £20 million bid for Yarmolenko and that is what the Naismith fee would be spent on.
As much as I love the work ethic of Naismith I do feel this would be an upgrade if it somehow materialised!
Source was the Daily Fail for those who will ask.

Not having a pop, been wanting to ask this for a while. What is our fans obsession with Yarmolenko? He's not world class and is unproven in a good league. Is it the goal against us? Because we had a similar reaction to Bolasie 2 seasons ago, begging to sign him. I don't know if it's the fancy name, or the possibility of another 20m+ signing. What is the major attraction? .

He's signed a new contract time to move on.

10 Jan 2016 09:22:54
I think that he is too much of a gamble; likely big ego (like eto) inflated by another money grabbing agent. We still have a manageable wage structure as soon as that stops it causes internal and financial rot - look at Leeds and Portsmouth. There are better cheaper less complicated options out there.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it depends how you look at it avro, are you happy with mid table obscurity then the cheaper option is the one to go for, if you want top end of the table stuff then we need quality players..pretty basic really mate..

10 Jan 2016 09:50:54
Does anyone know much about montero from Swansea that's rumoured to b linked to us is he any good?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - hes very good imo rainman, very skillful but not the best at tracking back and could be classed as a luxury player i suppose, for the right price he would be a good purchase imo mate..

10 Jan 2016 11:17:59
Sounds good ed better and cheaper option than yarmelenko. More chance to get him in along with Bryam from Leeds . We also need imo a striker in case Rom gets injured - not sure how long he out for but Kone not the answer there imo. Cardozo was mentioned in papers getting on a bit but could b good cover - big wages though.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we will need a striker for next season rainman as lukakiu will be on his bike come summer im convinced of that, cardozo is not the answer though for me, too long in the tooth and after a pay day, we need someone with hunger and a fire in his belly..who that may be im not sure mate..

10 Jan 2016 11:48:14
I've seen Yarmalenko play a few times and he can create or score a goal out of nowhere. He does seem to go missing for large parts of games then scores a great goal. He has quality but is not world class due to his inconsisticies but i'm not 100% convinced he would be a good buy for us as there just seems to be a lot of baggage comes with him. And we can't afford to take a big risk on someone like him.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - that is certainly a problem joe..

10 Jan 2016 14:18:14
Cordoza is not the answer, we need more mobility up front, I would prefer to see a justin Rhodes type of striker, eager to prove himself in top flight football.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if we need to replace rom we will need better than rhodes i feel avro, hungry yes..but of higher quality i feel mate..

10 Jan 2016 15:03:00
If Rom goes maybe get bony.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - not a bad shout that rainman..

10 Jan 2016 15:32:54
I would only punt for Rhodes as a backup striker (naismith replacement) not a Rom replacement - big expensive shoes to fill.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 16:32:28
I'd go for that embolo Young and got potential always a gamble like rom was.
Batsushi fell same as lukaku not played in a top league so another risk with potential
Inki kid from a Madrid same as the other two risk to could pay off

Bony probably the same price as the rest bit older but proven in the prem needs to place consistent to keep his match fitness and would suit playing are passing game with his back to the goal.

So kone rubbish naisy rubbish but you never said that after the Chelsea and Sunderland games respectively.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

10 Jan 2016 01:26:23
Neither of them are rubbish mate, Kone has his qualities but the fact is it's evident Lukaku doesn't need him anymore. Times were we relied on Kone to hold it up are gone, Rom does it now so Kone sees less of the ball and doesn't get in to the space he used to. Up top in a 4-4-2 Kone would be good with Lukaku but not on the wing, we don't need him there anymore.

Naismith is a good player and great lad who, like Kone, has his qualities. But isn't as good as Lukaku and isn't a winger so needs to leave for game time. I would love him to retire with us but thankfully he wants to play football and not sit around and pick up wages. He doesn't want to just be an impact player and that is very admirable. Good luck to him.

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Jan 2016 01:29:27
Don't think you will find many of us who think Naisy is rubbish mate, top pro both on and off the field, has been unlucky during his career with us and deserves better than the treatment RM has afforded him this season. Kone is not good enough end of argument! I'd rather keep Naismith and let go of Kone but RM has some weird fascination with playing him despite him being off the boil.
