It was so negative,

Saha was the most peripheral I have ever seen him, he may as well not have played.

Cahill tried but was half a player.
Bily tries but cannot beat a man.
Seamus has been found out as well.

We really did not get the best out of these 4 players, cahill and saha especially were half players. We know fellaini is negative, so we need someone to spur the front men on.

WIthout sounding silly, we do need a Mata/modric/silva type player. a number 10, a playmaker Without this we cannot beat teams consistently. Maybe ross can fill this role?
trequartistas are very expensive to buy, which is probably why we dont have one,

Jak le bleu {Ed025's Note - we need a creative midfielder, and a striker jak..this is a minimum requirement..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Let's face it, we're missing Arteta. We know he was inconsistent and dropped in and out of games but we are now devoid of any creativity. Hopefully BK will make the Arteta money available in January but I'm not holding me breath. (Wavertree Blue) {Ed025's Note - your right wavo..the midfield is slow and predictable...we need new blood, but its no good just bringing in new personnel, the tactics have to be right also!..

On a positive note people Barkley put on his Twitter he will be signing a new deal next week!thank god for that!! {Ed025's Note - at last..some good news

Believable1 Unbelievable0

What is the point in Barkley signing a new contract next week for him to sit on the bench. Moyes is now running Everton F C into the ground. We should be looking for a new Manager as well as new owner. {Ed025's Note - if you are an 18 year old trying to make your name in the game, you want pitch time, forget all this crap about introducing him slowly...get the bloody guy on the pitch!!!

Agree3 Disagree0

Look what Moyes did with Rooney and what happened The same could be happening with Barkley. Get rid of Moyes, BK and the board. Get new owners and a New Manager.

Yes im a moyes fan .but the stats re goal average just above a goal a game are shocking.he needs to change tactics or let evertonians dave jones and peter reid take over both are used to working on low budgets and reidy would never be short of advice how to get stuck in ..BUT my first choice would be for sir david moyes to stay on take an attacking coach on board get to 40 points and then give the kids some experience ..please lets stop being scared of little clubs only pay respect to top five ..come on lovely evertonians tell me im mad or sane ...ps i wont take offence...tp {Ed025's Note - your mad TP!!!

Interesting that a Gooner mate of mine who was at the game commented "I can't believe how negative Moyes is". Something has to give soon. I no longer look forward to games but am just filled with dread because I know it's always going to be one up top and a battle to stay in the game. In previous years there's always been fight but the team reminds me of when Frank Bruno used to step in the ring. A lovely bloke with tons of bottle but every single time you were just waiting for him to get battered. {Ed025's Note - i know what you mean..

Acording to the boy daved, today, we had a real go. However, when you have one shot on target all game, it is streching the truth, almost to breaking point. {Ed025's Note - its gone past breaking point pal..

Norwich and Swansea next two games..Six points is a should and a must. {Ed025's Note - they are no mugs mate...we will hope to win both..but take nothing for granted..

My team for next week would be:

Howard

Coleman Jagielka Heitinga Baines

Drenthe Fellaini Rodwell Gueye

Stracqualursi Vellios

Subs:

Mucha Neville Distin Osman Barkley Bilyaletdinov McAleny

Believable3 Unbelievable2

But that won't be Mr Moyes team .. It's far too attacking for him. {Ed025's Note - your right..

Agree2 Disagree0

Strac is obviously not ready so i say why put him on bench wen u could hav a young lad ther

Agree0 Disagree1

What's wrong with giving him a go, we gave Seamus Coleman a go last season and he was exceptional. {Ed025's Note - anything is worth a try!...lets be honest, he cant do any worse!..

Agree1 Disagree0

Can't see him being a new shining talent, he was his league's top scorer, came to us and cant even find the net...I'd give Fellaini a go upfront and put Osman midfield

Hi all, I know Bill Kenright promised there would be money for a player or two in Jan, but by the sounds of things this is no longer the case. Moysie and Neville have more or less said that when they said we could not afford to take Landon Donavan on loan and we would have to go with what we have. If this is true and we go with what we got then its going to be a long hard season. Judging by the way we have played so far this season we are going to be in a relegation scrap especially if Moyes remains so negative in his team selection and formation. We desperately need a striker and a creative midfielder and with out these its going to be a season to survive and forget. Hope I am wrong, whats your taughts ED and fellow Blues, its worry for me. COYB.

Dero ( Irish Blue ). {Ed025's Note - no need for any comments dero...your spot on mate!

Why doesn't he just b done with it and choose this as his starting 11;

Howard
Hibbet
Baines
Jags
Distin
Heitinga
Rodwell
Neville
Coleman
Duffy
Fellini
although I think he may think it a bit to much of an attacking team!
I don't won't him to go he just needs to stop being stubborn and listen, who would seriously come and take over from him, the only ones you can mention would be the managers out of work, and that's not usually a good sign, I can't see any current prem manager leaving their Job to come to us, let's just be paitient and see what happens in January we won't b relegated that's for sure! {Ed025's Note - we wont be relegated!!...is that the crumb of comfort you offer us, to keep faith in moyes....really!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Dec 2011 18:52:36
Excuse me but does anybody know where drenthe has gone to?
Ed do you know? {Ed025's Note - apparently he is injured mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We needed him today I think he would have made an impact. Bily was just standing there {Ed025's Note - whats new!

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Dec 2011 18:32:20
fuk sake bill kenwright should lower the price and wat was moyseyat taking of a forward why not a midfielder. {Ed025's Note - ask at the local police station, if someone has handed in a plot...i think david has lost one..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

10 Dec 2011 17:50:15
Markyg just updating the out with moyes campaign ,not surprised with todays result as we scare ourselves with our shadows ...more boring moyes tactics ....we cant stand anymore of this dross ....move on moyes your keeping a good attacking manager from making a talented squad reaching their potential ! {Ed025's Note - going by the posts on this site...its gaining momentum..

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Hopefully Ed this boring period in our glorious history will end sooner than later ...Moyes has completely lost the players confidence ,and as soon as a new manager is appointed I think they will be releaved as much as the fans will be {Ed025's Note - the thing is...something has got to change, it may be investment..it may be moyes going, or maybe a couple of quality signings?.but one things for sure..if things dont change, the supporters will vote with their feet..

Agree3 Disagree0

Its a shame cos i wanted all the glory we should be having with Moyes but I know when a manager has no ideas and no way of tactically outwitting other sides ...After ten years your not gonna change a Scotsman Ed ! {Ed025's Note - he is very stubborn...its his way or the highway!...at the moment, the highway is favourite!..

Agree4 Disagree0

Lot of winnable games coming up which should see us moving up the table and fighting for a europa spot. {Ed025's Note - love the optimism mate..

Agree2 Disagree2

10 Dec 2011 17:37:55
How can he take of dis-interested striker...FOR A CENTRE-BACK? if i'm to be honest i'd prefer next weeks starting 11 to be this:
Howard
Neville Jags Distin Baines
Fellaini
Coleman Rodewell Barkley Drenthe (if fit)
Cahill {Ed025's Note - the problem with that mate...is that tim has not scored, since moses was a lad!...we need a striker as a matter of urgency..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Moysey would be better off trying this next week :
Howard
Coleman Jag Distin Bainsey
Afro Roders
Barkley Drenthe
Vellios Cahill

FootieMadToffee {Ed025's Note - looks good...very attacking...no chance!

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Dec 2011 17:21:50
Saha is finished, he was dis interested AGAIN ! Too many times this season ! Still wouldn't off replaced him for Distin though ! Shocking.
Moyes really negative all season, he said before game that he weren't confident we would win or score ! What kind of manager says that !??
I know no-one will like it but i would play Fellaini and Cahill upfront next week, better than Saha !
Howard
Hibbert Jagielka Distin Baines

Coleman Osman Rodwell Drenthe (if fit)

Fellaini
Cahill

10 Dec 2011 17:14:52
Do u think the time will come soon when bungalow bill says to DM, wtf is going on ,no strikers on the pitch,Dennis and our leading goalscorer on the bench,Velios, enough is enough!! {Ed025's Note - no mate..they are as thick as thieves!.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

10 Dec 2011 17:11:14
Lost seems to be the word at the moment. The team lost, moyes looks lost and we all know that kenwright is well and truly lost!! oh dear, might as well write this season off now. nevermind chin up, this time next year we'll be billionaires.......rodney! {Ed025's Note - but moyes has not got an attacking thought in his head!!...what a plonker..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

10 Dec 2011 17:07:03
Well we had 1 shot on target better than last week. Moyes will be over the moon with that {Ed025's Note - have we changed our name?..to everton nil.. this seems a very familiar story, for christ sake show some bottle moyes!!!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

10 Dec 2011 17:05:53
I know Saha was having a shocker today and Moyes was not happy with him at all but could someone explain why he took him off and bought on......... Distin !!???? A CENTRAL DEFENDER {Ed025's Note - i can tell you why....hes lost the plot!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I thought we actually looked better once Saha had gone off!had more or a presence when Felli went up top!

Agree2 Disagree0

I'm not sure how many of you actually saw the game today, but we actually had our best spell in the game once Saha came off so taking Saha off was in my opinion a good move, the only thing I don't get is why is Cahill still starting, and then playing in centre midfield where he can't tackle, can't pass and has no pace so the play passes him by.

My one christmas wish is that Moyes plays someone else there and brings Cahill off the bench for the last 20 minutes.

Moyes has been banging on about cahill returning to goal scoring form soon! So we know that he will be strting today 4411 again then? yawn!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

10 Dec 2011 12:44:17
Come on moyes lets have a positive, attcking line up today if we go there for a draw they will pick us off over the 90 mins, and the fans will be even more pissed off than they already are! Give us something to get excited about! its a clique but best form of defensive is attack!
Howard
Neville jags distin baines
Fellani
Coleman barkley drenthe/bily/gueye
Saha
Velious

Why the hell not? With something like this we stnd a good chance of scoring!
I do not want to see heitenga pushed up into midfiled with fellaini that would be too negative and set us up for another boring, long ball performance! EARN YOUR MONEY MOYES,MAKE CHANGES!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Couldn't agree more, if we set up defensivily we will lose, so i and most evertonains would rather see a attacking line up.... if we lose then at least we went for it

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Dec 2011 12:19:12
I was hoping Moyes would throw Barkley in today with Osman and Rodwell injured but early rumours going around that Distin is back in at central defence and Heitinga will be pushed into midfield with Fellaini !!
Typical Moyes that !" Negative

Any one know why Ross Barkly has not signed a contract.
I think I remember reading that he would be signing a contract this December.
Just wonderig if this is why DM is not playing him because he wants away in the new year. {Ed025's Note - he will only want away if he is frozen out, the lad wants to play!, we all want him to play!...moyes is making a rod for his own back, and that is why the supporters are turning against him!!....come on david, get your act together, stop playing your out of form favourites, and play a team with a bit of flair, and guile, put a smile back on the supporters faces, and your own. what you are serving up at the moment is very poor fayre, sort it out..

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Meant to be signing when he hits 18!

Agree3 Disagree0

Apparently signing in 5 days, and he turned 18 5 days ago mate.

Yes was 18 on the 5th of december give club a chance to annonce something

Was just reading BBC football news, according to them we've posted a loss of half a million, and STILL have a debt of £44.9m, am I going crackers or does this mean we've only paid £100,000 off the debt after selling Arteta, Beckford and Yak.....!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What you have to remember this is up to may 31st 2011. Unless the deals were arranged before then, the latest accounts don't take Arteta's, Yak's or Beckford's transfer into account

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice one mate, that makes sense, for a minute I thought kenwright had ploughed all the money into a new production of Jesus Christ Superstar or something!

Agree2 Disagree0

And 24ish million is a long term loan - the rest a bank overdraft / short term loan.
So only 20m in short terms - which should be less than 5m now after the sales. Plus wage bill dropped by about 200k per week post arteta yak etc - so they should be running at a decent profit at the minute - so it wouldn't surprise me if the bank account was almost in the black by now.
You can't tell from the accounts who the long term loan (being repaid at 2-3m per year) is with, but it might well be kenwright - so effectively the owners loan.
If it is kenwrights - then he shouldn't really be charging too much interest on it, if any, especially with rates so low - so we shouldn't really be in sh#t street any longer with the bank.
Maybe they want get the club 'banking' some money so that we're not always forced to sell to feed the bank - so that we can keep these promising youngsters.

It's annoying when we don't buy the striker we need but to me the biggest problem is they're not being coached to pass n move - they're all too static and slow - and you don't need money to fix that. {Ed025's Note - for me mate its bad economics...if we dont invest in the squad, and finish low down the league, we miss out on place money, we miss out on gate money, as supporters get fed up with the boring football, the other players value dips due to poor form, this affects the share value and saleability of the club!!....or is it just me?

Agree3 Disagree0

I think if you look very close and hard kenwright has borrowed from green as then the books will show minimum loan for any future buyer or invester.Green is supposed to be charging 50% intrest so thats why theres no money for moyes or anything else

Agree0 Disagree0

I think u will find the 25-30mill loan is on top of the 44mill we owe the banks I'm pretty sure overall debt is about 70m ED? PADDOCKBLUE {Ed001's Note - I believe so, I got a lot of grief over saying about this before the season, but I haven't had the chance to look properly at the accounts to see if that is correct.}
