Apparently we're " favourites " to sign Tammy Abraham if he is to leave Chelsea in the summer

Can't see I myself like but he would be an amazing signing if we can sell Kean.

{Ed077's Note - He seems to want to be first choice so I dont think he would be happy to be back up to DCL(i.e. Kean replacement). But he might be a good option if DCL left. And I'm not ITK:)}

Yeah that was my main issue with the rumour Ed. In fact he’s pretty like for like with DCL imo.

Would be insane for Chelsea to let him leave anyways Lukaku mk2 springs to mind.

There are rumours of Silas Wamangituka, and also this Abdallah Sima, both young talents.

Bookies trying to generate money, nothing else.

He’s no Lukaku! DCL is better IMO.

Yeah more than likely Brassington. And Pighead I didn’t mean Tammy is exactly like Rom but more that if they sold him he would be as effective and they would regret it.

The results once again seem to be going our way today, still two games in hand on many and an excellent result for us last week, couple that with DCL and Allan back we have a great chance from our next few games to move on up the table, COYB.

Believable2 0Unbelievable

28 Feb 2021 17:07:57
Agree that with our next couple of games we have a chance to move up the table - we have to take it. Not sure how results have gone our way though? Palace v Fulham is irrelevant to us, and think realistically we're going to be in more of a battle with arsenal for gable position that with Leicester.

28 Feb 2021 17:22:12
Gooners beat Leicester and Man C beat West Ham mate for starters.

Agree2 0Disagree

28 Feb 2021 17:30:35
Ah yea West ham losing yesterday was a good result for us. I referenced the Leicester game in my response - I think we will be a lot closer to arsenal than we will to Leicester so I personally would not class that as a good result for us!

28 Feb 2021 17:39:05
Not if we win our two games in hand, only my opinion mate.

28 Feb 2021 18:21:49
We said the same thing before both the Newcastle and Fulham games. It worries me that we reserve our worst games when we have a great opportunity to move int the top five/ six in the table and play against teams lower in the table. Hopefully this time we will win and by a large margin.

I think by beatingLiverpool last week will give us the incentive from now on.

Win the two games in hand and in the top 4, it’s Everton’s for the taking. Keep it up lads.

Let's see what Carlo does. Three at the back with two wb's works for me. The quandry comes as to who plays the 10.

28 Feb 2021 22:20:15
Win the two in hand and we are 3 points off Leicester and 4 off United
Leicester have a few out depleting their squad so it could be a few more points they drop
But first things first we need to take care of our own business and secure the points otherwise it will become irrelevant.

Agree1 0Disagree

28 Feb 2021 23:58:31
Had our neighbours dropped points today, I would have been a little more concerned, however with them winning, I now fancy us to get a win, seem to shoot ourselves in the foot when they get beat.

Any insight Eds on if we have a realistic chance of signing Max Aaron's? Or is he destined elsewhere?
Read Norwich want 30/ 35 million. Any possibility of Norwich accepting 25 + Kenny?

{Ed002's Note - Max Aarons (RB) Everton remain very keen after Bayern Munich decided against a move as the cost is seen as too high and Roma has opted for another - Manchester United want him as cover only and that will likely price him out of a move at something like £30M. I don't see Jonjonjoe Kenny moving to Norwich.}

And that we got a penalty?

21 Feb 2021 01:08:28
Don't get too excited mate, we played against a poor team that has now lost four on the row at home. They also have a strategically inept manager who focuses his post match comments on the validity of our penalty. Since Christmas they have taken 9 points from ten games according to the match commentators. Too easy for the Professor and his men.

VAR to look at the game and award the Reds 3 goals because Klopp cried.

After every defeat people on here say we are a poor side and question Carlo and his team selection
I’m just loving getting that run of losses at their place has come to an end!
An amazing weekend.

BlueMike1 how many times have we gone to them played the better football and either lost or scraped a draw? There are plenty of Toffees that haven't been alive long enough to see us win over there so it doesn't really matter how crap they are the fact that we won is all that matters.

Agree3 0Disagree

21 Feb 2021 17:33:58
You can only beat the team that’s put in front of you.

Come on guys it was just a bit of Scouse sarcasm. Of course I am ecstatic about our win, although I am old enough at 81 to remember the times when we could beat them on a regular basis.

Jesus Mike, how are going to react Tuesday, if we get the thumbs up for the new stadium, probs we should have had an 80,000 stadium.

So many times I have watched Everton play them off the Park and end up getting a draw, so many last minute slip ups by ourselves, that was a decent result and got a huge monkey not just off our back, but Pickfords as well.

Well bignev I am going to miss the Old Lady. Been there when we had an attendance of close to 80,000 as a teenager with my friend Neville Smith who went on to write "The Golden Vision". Been there when we won the league and when we had the first game under lights and many other fantastic memories. Hopefully I will still be alive and well enough to go to the new stadium.

If you can’t get excited about wining a derby at Anfield then don’t but a lot of us are, we have made huge strides this season, but ending a record like we have in this fixture is massive, it is a sign of mentality changing and Carlo deserves huge credit, consistency is the key now and then go again in summer with adding bit more quality.

17 Feb 2021 13:06:33
One thing I noticed from Fulham game was that their RB Tettey looked decent. Maybe it was just one game and all their players looked good against our pathetic display. Anyone else seen anymore of Tettey? As a RB will be a must in summer.

{Ed002's Note - Brands is working on a couple of RB options as has been explained.}

Believable1 0Unbelievable

18 Feb 2021 12:00:44
Hi Ed the right back options is that when your discussed Djed Spence being an option?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, things will almost certainly change but the options I know of are:
Max Aarons (RB) seen as a long term solution to the RB position but it won't happen. There is interest from elsewhere and he would cost more than Everton will be looking to spend on a RB.
Djed Spence (RB) Brands has been asked to look into Spence as an option for RB after he impressed when scouts were looking at Tavernier.
Kieran Trippier (RB) A player that CA has expressed admiration for in the past and could be available.}

Agree0 0Disagree

18 Feb 2021 13:13:22
Thanks Ed, he does look a good attacking fullback just not grabbed the exposure in the premier league like Aarons, seems to have got attention from a few other clubs at times. Guessing he would be a better fit financially compared to Aarons
What’s the story with Trippier then?

{Ed002's Note - He is a player CA has been keen on in the past and after all of the grief he will be available.}

Rumours about James unhappy in England.
Any eds know if this is true?

{Ed002's Note - Sorry I don’t. But the weather, the location and the food will not suit him.}

Believable1 0Unbelievable

17 Feb 2021 03:21:08
Seems to suit Carlo! What's wrong with Fish and Chips anyway? Should get a transfer to New York and then he will wish he stayed on Merseyside.
