Baines says there no sense of togetherness in the dressing room for 2 years. Watch out for an announcement he is injured for the weekend. He will get exiled like Eto and Distin for speaking out against RM.

1.) 05 Apr 2016 22:07:45
Difference is he made it public. Bit obvious for Martinez to make him 'injured' after him going so public with it.

Plus Baines has been at the club a long time and dare I say a more senior figure than they other two players you mention. Maybe more players will back Baines and it may or hopefully will be the beginning of the end for Martinez.

2.) 05 Apr 2016 22:08:24
Yes I believe you as I believe that Martinez is a vindictive arrogant dictator and not the nice guy most think he is.
What has happened to Osman, Piennar, what happened to Distan.
He will come on the radio and tell you a player is one of the best then drop him, it has happened with all these players including Baines, oh yes Eto as well.
Baines is a true blue that is for certain.

3.) 06 Apr 2016 00:32:37
Baines said there's no chemistry. There's a bit difference between chemistry and togetherness.

4.) 06 Apr 2016 09:33:15
It would be fitting if at the next home game the fans give Baines an extra big cheer for coming out and saying what he did. The board must take notice. That is if he is selected or "injured".

5.) 06 Apr 2016 11:08:22
I hate to say it but Leighton has some guts and has put himself on the line.
i have been saying for months on here we MUST take pro active action like me not renewing my season ticket if evryone did it board would have to have acted.
I have been criticised being told I not true fan having supported them since in short trousersin 59! .
Even true fans and loyal can only stand so much.
A dog may be loyal but if you kick it enough it will bite back.

06 Jul 2014 22:36:44
Dutch press saying we have agreed a fee for Dusan Tadic and have beaten Southampton to sign him

1.) 07 Jul 2014 06:26:06
I highly doubt it

2.) 07 Jul 2014 08:03:56
I also highly doubt it. He won't come cheap and they have far more financial muscle than us.

3.) 07 Jul 2014 08:29:13
This was actually in the Sunday people yesterday, how accurate it is I don't know because it WAS the the Sunday people. I'd like it to be true though, fee of around 8-9 million being reported which I'd like to think we could afford!.

4.) AB1878, they actually have debts that dwarf ours

5.) 07 Jul 2014 10:31:52
But that doesn't stop them from spending more than we do! Everywhere is reporting that the deal for him to go there is practically done, anyway. Shame, he's an excellent player

6.) Hope so just checked him out as I knew nowt about him and looks a class act.

7.) Not sure if this means anything but they are reporting the same thing on the southampton site as well.

22 Jan 2014 22:28:13
Falcao suffered horrific knee injury tonight and may even miss the World Cup, could be that Monaco may now cancel any deal for Traore if they feel they need him now.

Marca.com in Spain say we are on trail of Jeffren Suarez, midfielder/winger for Sporting Lisbon. Ex Barca youngster. Heard anything Eds? {Ed025's Note - no rick..

While I love all our new found optimism I can't help but smile at all the posters saying we must be patient and give them time to build a successful team. That's all well and good in June but fans of every club forget all about that the first time they go 4 games without a win and lose 4 0 to a top 6 side. We said the same when Koeman arrived and look how quickly patience went out the window. That being said I am just the same as everyone else but at the age of 63 perhaps I have learned to be more patience than our younger fans as Everton have given me lots of practise over the last 60 years.

1.) 01 Jun 2018 11:11:56
I don't think that it is defeats that exasperate. It is more the failure to learn from mistakes and the repitition of those mistakes. For example, Koeman would pick an obviously unbalanced side. It would struggle. He would make early changes and it would improve. Next game he would pick an unbalanced side and so the cycle went on. It's that which upsets fans.

2.) 01 Jun 2018 11:16:12
It is what it is Ricktee. If fans had their own way in 1984 we wouldn’t have had the most successful period in our clubs history. We will always be impatient. I’m probably one of the worst. I’m impatient before the game because I want to see the team sheet, impatient during the game because I want to see goals for, impatient half time for my pie and pint, impatient after the game with the traffic. I want everything now and I’m not even the youth of today!

Football has made me impatient, intolerant and in trouble with Mrs ace. I LOVE IT 😍.

3.) 01 Jun 2018 12:03:53
I actually think it is us old codgers that are the least patient on this site - me included.

25 May 2018 14:27:30
A or of impatience regarding a new manager. We will get one in the next few days then everyone can start to complain about not signing 5 new players in his first week.

16 May 2018 14:06:36
Ray Wilson was one of our all time greats. RIP and thoughts with your family.

1.) 16 May 2018 14:23:02
Completely agree. RIP.

15 May 2018 20:29:55
People think we should be aiming higher than Silva. Unfortunately most of those higher managers will be aiming higher than us. We have a choice of getting someone in early and giving him time to plan for next season, or wait until after the World Cup and see which of these so called higher managers are still available. If The board believe Silva is the right man then go for option one. If not take a big gamble and wait, although that would only get the fans moaning about not doing anything as happened while we were waiting for Koeman.

{Ed025's Note - the fans will moan whoever we get rick..

1.) 15 May 2018 22:04:31
When allardyce is gone the next manager needs 3yrs. regardless of how good or bad first season is. I for one will keep my lips sealed for the next man. never wanted allardyce near the club. he's has to go.

03 May 2018 20:39:53
Watching the tempo and direct passing of Atletico and Arsenal makes me realise how utterly pedestrian we are.

1.) 03 May 2018 20:57:42
Totally agree. I just hope the board know to.

2.) 03 May 2018 22:00:10
Simeone is like a cat on the sidelines, living and breathing the game.
The master of entertainment 😁.

3.) 03 May 2018 22:23:39
Didn't Sam compare himself to Simeone last week Smit πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

4.) 03 May 2018 23:08:35
Yes. Together they are the masters of defensive football.
Unfortunately simeone has only managed to win the spanish league once, the copa del Ray, the super cup of Spain, Europa cup and super league cup and were runners up in the champions league twice.

Big Sam will be the 1st to tell you he has won.
Oh yeah f**k all. EVER.

5.) 03 May 2018 23:37:21
Skies may be grey over Goodison at the moment Smit, but you sure make the sun shine with your posts lol. 😁.

6.) 04 May 2018 03:57:11
Nice one Smit. I think Sam must have been in a funfairs hall of mirrors to think he is anything like Simeone.

7.) 04 May 2018 07:53:54
If Sam compares himself to Simeone then he’s a fat cat πŸ™€.

8.) 04 May 2018 10:46:49
Sam won the world tiddlywinks championships in 1978 by playing defensively.

The way he sets his teams up make Pulis look adventurous.
He may get a few good results but he ground would be half empty through boredom by xmas.

Hoarau looked a handful but I don't think we should be looking to sign another 31 year old

{Ed025's Note - he is a free agent rick, so would not be much of a gamble i expect mate..

Of course he called us a small club. He was their manager at the time. We Ned a top man like him and not hold petty 5 year old grudges because he hurt our little feelings.

Here we go again. People are against a manager who hasn't even got the job yet. God help him if he doesn't wn his first 3 games.

Spot on Howie, we have no idea how good or bad they are untill given a chance to show what they can do under the proper circumstances.
