limk. I said exactly that to my son as we watched the game. There were a few times when the ball to Lukaku was on and they ignored him. Looking at his body language in general, it makes you wonder if he's not that popular among his international team mates. He seems to "expect" every attacking ball to be played to him no matter what.

Can anybody tell me how Chelsea are 3/ 1 to win the cup. We are at 8/ 1 yet we are slight favouritest o beat them on Saturday?

Good point, limk. It does seem weird. Probably because odds are a reflection not only of what the bookies believe are the chances of a particular outcome (which should be a rational judgement) , but also how much money is actually bet by punters (which is not so rational) . More people probably bet on who will win the cup than bet on the outcome of a single match, so number of bets outweighs actual evidence when setting odds there. Loads of people have probably had a punt on Chelsea winning the cup, not so many will have backed us (at least not with money - I suspect a lot of neutrals want us to win) . For this one match, the evidence suggests we've got a good chance of beating them, so unless loads of bets are suddenly placed on Chelsea, that's what will determine the odds.

We need a boss in the centre of the park as I’ve said previously it was a similar situation back along and I remember Peter Read walking across the pitch when he had just signed. he wasn’t playing just had an interview I guess but his determination shone through and he hadn’t even pulled on a blue jersey then . everything changed thereon wish we could find another like him . gee all the players up its 40% technical skill and 60% will to win .

My pointw was Roy hasn't given Everton players game time. Only 2 outfield players not used and both ours. Ex Liverpool manager and all that.

he has his 2 CB favourites in Smalling and Cahill so Stones would not get in unless an injury, regarding Ross he didn't have the best final half of the season where by Alli was good, is he impressing enough in training, probably not enough to start but so what, I don't want him to play, want him to have a rest then get the Legend that is Koeman working on him with his fitness team, we will see a different Ross next season and within 12 months he will be a starter in every England match, I don't think Koeman will ask him not to track back or tackle anyone, i'm betting he is a stone lighter come September.

I agree murf. I don't want them to play either. Let them have a rest and out of the limelight.
I also think the roles of the players are going to become more defined and suited to the type of player they are.
The problem was criticism or the lack of. Koeman already sounds like he's going to give Ross a kick in the ollies and point him in the right direction. Stones and Lukaku the same.
Next season should be better but the season after could be the one where we see all the hard work come together.

To be fair though we were playing with a 3 man midfield. Ross can't defend, so has to be played further up. It would basically have changed the formation to 4-2-4 if he had played.
