MIRROR saying Vardy bid imminent . anything in it ed?

foreverblue

{Ed025's Note - i wish FB, he would do fine for me and although there is nothing tangible at the moment mate who,s to say it cant happen..

1.) 27 Aug 2017 10:12:23
I'd be surprised. not your typical RK centre forward.

2.) 27 Aug 2017 10:45:34
Cant see Leicester selling vardy with less than a week to go in window plus I though we where looking for a target man think we would have better chance of signing slimani from Leicester we have also been linked to Troy deeny this morning hopefully that is just paper talk.

According to transfer insider on twitter Rooney bid imminent utd won't stand in his way . And Chelsea in for Barkley!

foreverblue

1.) 21 Jun 2017 21:50:22
IF the Rooney deal was possible would us fans want him? My gut feeling is no, but it was only a year ago quite a few of us wanted Wesley Sneijder who is very similar to Rooney as his best years are behind him but had undoubtable quality and great experience. It's a tough call.

2.) 21 Jun 2017 22:09:41
Still goals in the tank @.

3.) 21 Jun 2017 22:29:52
And looks like a tank. Not for me, I am looking forward to the Everton of the future we are buolding, he had no sentiment for us when he went to United as he felt he was better than us at that time, well times have changed and we are now better in a better position to attract better players.

4.) 21 Jun 2017 22:49:25
Apparently according to Ed002 Chelsea aren't interested in Barkley. Can see him going to Arsenal myself.

5.) 21 Jun 2017 23:42:58
I think it's going to be United.

6.) 22 Jun 2017 06:31:17
Rooney WAS too good for Everton at the time, and look at how the club benefited from his sale? don't be so short sighted.
i for one would take him back in heart beat - if the financial package makes sense. Mourinho abused him, he has plenty left to give, best years behind him or not, he'll have a point to prove.

7.) 22 Jun 2017 07:01:54
We have a manager who won a great amount as a player. He has a squad of young players who are winning their age group trophies (u23 league last season, u20 World Cup) our senior squad players have experience of never winning anything except Barry. The only reason I would Wayne back is because he's won it all. We need more winners to infect the mindset of the squad. Zlatan was so priceless for utd last season not really for his goals but he wins and demands the same from his colleagues. Rooney could influence more off the pitch than on it.

8.) 22 Jun 2017 08:20:59
Agree Svenny the only sticking point is his wage demands.

9.) 22 Jun 2017 09:32:20
I like the fact Rooney was abused at £250,000 a week lol. I'd like to be abused for that amount.

{Ed025's Note - me too mowfee..

10.) 22 Jun 2017 09:20:04
He is overpriced, cannnot see any top team bidding for him to be honest not unless we reduce the fee.

11.) 22 Jun 2017 10:15:16
Rooney's finished in this league mate. No one really knows where his best position is anymore. I'm not sure he even knows. He hasn't got the legs to be a midfielder, hasn't got the pace or turn of foot to be a striker. So where does that leave him. personally and this from a Chelsea fan that Everton shouldn't be looking at him. Think you've got some better options out there and much younger and cheaper too. And with Koeman as manager, I'd expect you to go far.

{Ed025's Note - im with you adam..

12.) 22 Jun 2017 10:16:42
Rooney has a point to prove to himself and everybody else but specially to us Evertonians.

So where else can he go? He doesn't want to play for any other club in the PL apart from Everton. China is a non starter for family reasons.

He's got more money than he knows what to do with!

So Everton or USA?

I am sure he wants Everton but he can't be embarrassed by an offer and therein lies the problem.

He wants a free transfer from United so that Everton can pay him what is in his opinion his worth.

He wants to play football and be motivated.

So his choice will be see out his contract at United or move to Everton.

If he does come to us he will be motivated and determined which clearly he is not presently.

Whether he is worth the gamble is an entirely different subject.

Lennon stalling on Hull deal, as he may have another option . Reckon it's us ed?

foreverblue

{Ed025's Note - could well be mate..

We are in for Alderweireld centre back according to Sunday paper

foreverblue

1.) After ICC. Game seem we need promising creative MC. and explosive striker. Alderweireld no more budget.

02 Jul 2013 12:39:53
Sly ;Everton could be interested in Tom Ince

foreverblue

1.) Where?

2.) Hope not because if we ended up buying him he has a clause were the reds receive 50% from the transfer other 50% goes to blackpool.

3.) Sky even

4.) For 8. 5-9mil, rather not. Would rather take a chance at redmond for 2mil, than Ince for 9mil.

I really hope we stay away from England when doing transfer business, prices are inflated to ridiculous amounts, whereas abroad there are some bargains to be had.

5.) Theses a great change of landing Tom ince

6.) Hope your right. good young player

stewillow

7.) They get 25%, and they would get that whoever buys him, if he improves our team, don't give a dam, 8m = 2m, in todays football, small change.

8.) Heard Keving Phillips on talksport this morrning say he is better than Zaha at the moment.

Has he gone yet!?

foreverblue

1.) 30 Apr 2016 08:05:34
No offence blue but give it a rest. not even 8 bells and you've started.
He not going to go before the match.

I have decided to just sit and wait to see what happens with the manager situation and keep on supporting the boys in blue.

While we have struggled this season, we will all come back next season raring to go and give our all regardless of who plays or manages this great club.

2.) 30 Apr 2016 08:26:43
Spot on. What will be will be. Master stroke playing the kids today. What are the protestors going to do, Boo the kids, destroy them before they get started! Going today as usual, luckily those around me in Gladys are generally sensible so fingers crossed.

3.) 30 Apr 2016 08:28:37
Agree. No matter what the fans do ifthe board veiw a different long term view to us then things will only change then. all we will do if we demo is make us look fools and other think why bother. i'm sure everything is beening monitored and will be reveiwed properly in the summer. most managers are with clubs at the end of there season and won't rockthe boat. Coyb today.

4.) 30 Apr 2016 08:41:02
Stophumpingmyleg, if you're happy with this mediocrity, then by all means don't join in, but do not be critical of those who want change. There's been booing at every home game for the last 6 months, so what's your point? Today will be different, it isn't about booing the players or the tactics, its about trying to do what many think is best for our club and getting RM out of here.

Strange how our home form hasn't improved when everyone has been booing the guys solidly for 6 months. That's usually such a morale booster.

{Ed025's Note - that did make me smile CT..

7.) 30 Apr 2016 08:54:12
I don't think martinez is the right man for the job and lots of people say Mr moshiri is no fool and has not made all his money by suffering fools but he has also not made his money by being pressured into making decisions by others.
Now I know he's not on the board as yet but he (probably) holds all the power at the club and he and the club will only make changes when and if they feel it's necessary, regardless of fan protests, etc.
I do believe that every fan has a right to voice their opinion in the way they see fit But we do have to be careful not to look like a laughing stock.
Nobody can predict the future so we just hold on and enjoy the ride.
We need to support the players and encourage them. This will build confidence and improve their skills.
After all we have supported Everton through thick and thin and must continue to do so.

{Ed025's Note - good post that geoff..

8.) 30 Apr 2016 09:36:03
There's a time and a place to protest and during a game is not the right time. The board are not stupid and whatever people's opinion the board all have 1 thing in common. They have evertons best interest at heart. They have invested their own money over the years and I'm sure they wouldn't want to lose any of it.

The only thing you will achieve by protesting is to lower morale of the players. To the extent they will want to leave. And any future signings might think twice about joining.

We have had a difficult few seasons so now is the time the squad needs our support more than ever.

9.) 30 Apr 2016 10:47:23
Spot on lad.

10.) 30 Apr 2016 09:24:55
Sensible fan. We all want success but let's not act like other team supports who think success is the right.

11.) 30 Apr 2016 09:46:58
Just cheer the lads, support them, save the protest till after the match.

12.) 30 Apr 2016 09:06:13
Thanks ed, just screenshot that. don't normally get compliments. hahaha

It's match day and the enthusiasm returns and realistically we should beat Bournemouth.

I don't read many forums other than this but this week this has been full of Bobby out and slagging this player and that board member, even I have been slightly guilty of this.

Gets all a little bit boring and repetitive. Yeah we know most people want the manager gone but we don't pull the trigger and i, for one, wouldn't like to be the one to appoint the next guy. if we get it wrong then the spite, venom and hatred will be even worse than this time.

{Ed025's Note - it does get you that way at times geoff (unfortunately) but like it or not we wont get a say in any decisions, we have to trust the club to do the right thing mate..

27 Aug 2014 09:50:04
Hi ed, do you think that's it for us re transfers or can we expect any more?

foreverblue

{Ed025's Note - i think maybe a sneaky one on deadline day FB, clubs will be looking to offload players who are surplus to requirement, and if bobby sees a bit of value he will go for it mate..
