I understand that Everton are in negotiation with Utrecht for 22year old 6ft2in French CF, Sebastian Haller, 40 games last season, 24 goals.

According to current rumours we have bids in for Ashley Williams, Jose Fonte, Martins Indi, oh-and Koulibaly. If these be true (unlikely) and we add Funes Mori we could play a back five which would look like the Great Wall of China!

On the subject of Lucien Favre I note that over his entire coaching/ managerial career his clubs have won 55% of available points. In the current Premiership table Man. U. with 55.2% stand 5th.
Bear in mind that Favre has always taken over clubs in dire straits and often with average finances (Munchengladbach with 16 points from 22 games and 13th financially of 18 clubs) . He has also developed players like Reus, Kruse, ter Stegen and others now with major clubs and is noted for his work with young players. He should perhaps be more in demand than some more famous and expensive managers.

I'm all for giving an up and coming manager a chance, it wasn't so long ago that pochettino was an up and coming manager, now he's considered one of the best in the league.

He took Gladbach from relegation candidates (kept them up in a playoff) to twice qualifying for the Champions League. Before that he guided Hertha Berlin to 4th in the Bundesliga.
I think he's more than an 'up and coming manager', I think this guy is a manager with a proven track record of genuine bona fide quality. Just happens he isn't as well known as some others.

Several people have asked about the whereabouts of Tarashaj but no answers have been forthcoming. He is not shown on an injured list. Has he perhaps been loaned back to Switzerland again? It's a mystery, this lad was supposed to be a great prospect. Does anybody know anything?

I was also born in Liverpool and brought up, -- well, sort of way out in Huyton. I HATED scouse. Now I live in Florida and have to make my own scouse, which I love! On the other hand, reference culture shock, I cannot persuade the Italian-American side of my family to enter the same room with it!
{Ed025's Note - whats up with them yanks don?, you cant beat a good pan of scouse on a cold night with red cabbage or beetroot...if they ate more scouse instead of all them burgers and fries they would be a lot healthier nation mate..i could be like the jamie oliver of the states.. :)
