beginning of the season gone we were credited with an interest in the Danish midfielder Thomas Delaney, now at Werder Bremen. Anyone know if we still retain an interest and if so are we likely to follow it up.

You have to ask yourself though, at £15m, if he's that good, why a bigger club than Burnley aren't in for him. And that's not meant to be disrespectful to Burnley, but this lad is linked with a move away from Boro every window and no one else has jumped in for him. Why is that?

We got stung with Bilyaletdinov from the Russian league. I'd steer well clear.

Seen him a few times for West Ham, no improvement on what we have IMHO.

Give them Klaassen back, that would bring the price down some.

If you had £600m would you buy 30% shares that don't get you a seat on the board and don't get you a say in the running of the club? Kroenke doesn't need them as he already has a majority shareholding. Usmanov's best hope is that Kroenke wants to de-list the club on the Stock Exchange which would require total ownership and allow him to do what he wants with it.

bw2412 v2.0, initially he sent him off for "denying a clear goalscoring opportunity" which is a one match ban. After the game he reviewed it, changed his mind said it was "violent conduct" which is a 3 match ban. So, if the game had ended a 0-0 draw and he had disallowed a goal in said game, if he reviews it post match, finds he was wrong, does he change the result to a 1-0 win? He had a clear view of the Jags incident, he made his mind up instantly, so why was there a need to review it post match?

Loftus-Cheek played against Arsenal in the International Champions Cup in Dublin on August 1st. He missed a penalty in the shoot out.

Ed004, if you're thinking about driving Jones to Goodison I'm heading out after tea to start taking road signs down :-) The lad's guaranteed to commit one horror mistake per game. I'm pretty sure Brands and Silva have got better options than him. Lascelles at Newcastle for starters.

{Ed004's Note - Where theres a will there's a way. I will not fail in dropping Jones off at Goodison.}

He's better than what we currently have in centre midfield, and surely improving on what you currently have is one of the main criteria in a transfer.
