Reports Gomes is going to spurs fs how many times have spurs gazumped us I'm torn now if I want them to beat liverpool.

1.) 10 May 2019 19:08:59
Is there some way both teams can get banned before June 1?

2.) 10 May 2019 19:17:11
Well we'll have to wait and see if it is true. If he does sign for Spurs then good luck to him, they are a more attractive proposition than ourselves sadly in this moment of time. I would like us to sign him myself. On a positive note I have faith in Marcel Brands to get the right type of players in come the summer.

3.) 10 May 2019 20:05:08
On a positive note it looks like David Luis has signed a two year extension so could improve our chances to sign Kurt Zouma.

{Ed002's Note - It doesn't improve anything. If Everton want to sign Kurt Zouma they need to talk to the player, and if he thinks it a nifty idea, make a serious offer to Chelsea. They could do it tomorrow.}

4.) 11 May 2019 07:44:42
On a more positive note. David Luiz signing a contract extension improves our chances of making top 6 next season 😉.

5.) 11 May 2019 13:35:40
Top comment smit 🤣🤣.

6.) 15 May 2019 10:36:34
Totally lost me Ed002 saying Luiz signing doesn’t improve our chances with Zouma. If Chelsea’s ban stands then they will need to ensure they have sufficient centre halves already in their ranks. If Luiz didn’t sign then would be an additional gap for a centre half. With him signing, if indeed he has, they have him, Rudiger, Christiansen as first choices. Hopefully ( for Everton) Zouma would be only 4th choice - if not further back.
If Luiz were to go then clearly he moves up the list.

So as I say totally lost me with that one.

28 Jan 2019 20:52:39
So our season is over again in January what have we left to look forward to maybe putting the brakes on the dark sides push for the title so that's our cup final 3 points at home in the derby God it's depressing being a blue.

1.) 28 Jan 2019 23:08:15
Hate to be the party pooper Billy but looking at City’s fixtures, I just do not see our neighbours slipping up twice and City not.

It is going to happen, just cannot see them throwing it away.

2.) 29 Jan 2019 14:32:13
You obviously won't agree BigNev but after so long without I have a funny feeling our neighbours will bottle it in the end so the least we can do is help them on their way by taking all 3 points ;-p.

26 Jan 2019 20:26:21
Shocking, absolute rubbish, we defended just like we did under martinez. 3 set pieces, 3 goals something is rotten in our club and its been going on for years good luck milwall.

20 Jan 2019 00:11:08
What can be done on a more positive note with tactics or playing staff to get us out of this slump?

1.) 20 Jan 2019 03:44:53
That's the Million Dollar question isn't it billy. There is so much wrong atm it's hard to know what to do. Maybe instead of trying to force square pegs into round holes, as Everton often do, getting a proper striker and playing Richarlison in his favoured position out wide would be a start.

2.) 20 Jan 2019 09:45:18
Yes but why are there so many "quality players" that suddenly seem unable pass/ cross/ tackle or play consistently for 90 minutes.
Is it
1) Attitude
2) Unable to follow instructions
3) Lack of instruction.

{Ed025's Note - all the above i would say mate..

3.) 20 Jan 2019 09:50:26
It is a head scratcher isn’t it.

You’re right H, but easier said than done, especially in January. I’d honestly give Tosun a run in the side, even with Richarlison in behind him. He’s a great natural finisher CT so I’d give him a decent run.

You can see with Richarlison that he’s got pace to burn and can be very direct, but when he’s doing that through the middle, he doesn’t know what to do when he gets in the final third. As a winger, he can cut inside or cross a ball.

Either way, it’s very frustrating at the moment and it’s hard to see where and how things will change.

4.) 20 Jan 2019 10:10:14
Sorry to say but one of the major criticisms levelled against Martinez was a lack of plan B!
For me this is happening all over again same line up no variation in formation to play home or away, and a failure to get the team fired up and motivated, although second half v Bournemouth there were signs.
Silva has quite a dour disposition and I’m not sure if this is how he comes over in training unfortunately I’m not in the know but a word to describe us at the moment is ‘Fragile’, we seem to have no leadership and a massive loss of confidence!

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that wakka mate..

5.) 20 Jan 2019 14:50:06
Agree there wakka got to say Silva seems to have his favourites that he sticks by even yesterday we could see how bad Richarlson was (not the only one) could and should have made changes at half time so hence no plan B think it just needs freshening up DCL or Tosun up front Richarlson back on the wing, Bernard at 10 as Sig has been anonymous, drop the zonal marking aswell lots more I could mention hope a strong team on Sat and next round of the cup boy do we need a cup run to lift the fans this season.

6.) 20 Jan 2019 15:08:26
Be careful what you wish for lee1878. Martinez and Wigan had a good Cup run. The only difference this time is that there are 3 Clubs worse than us in the league.

7.) 20 Jan 2019 20:08:40
Well the BBC must think there's a cup upset, they have us live on Saturday.

8.) 20 Jan 2019 21:12:01
Wakka that’s exactly what we are fragile if we go a goal down that’s it for us and if a team pressures us from the start we crumble we need a leader and a real baller in midfield.

9.) 20 Jan 2019 21:13:17
There is no question we need a striker, I think what is hampering us is Silva has got in his head certain players playing and assuming they will come good in the end.

If he lands a striker, that will push Richarlison back out to the left, that then leaves Lookman moving over to the right, meaning no place for Walcott, he could try Gomes further up field, that then hampers Siggerson.

That is why I am not holding my breath of a striker coming in.

He would sooner play Richarlison out of position, than start with Calvert Lewin as a striker, bringing a striker in makes Silvas set up go tits up.

We can all see it, other teams know exactly how we are going to start, what subs are going to be used if the other team goes a goal up, so predictable at the moment.

That is why other teams are picking us off.

Silva needs to mix it up and come up with a plan b.

10.) 20 Jan 2019 21:28:45
I think we need a ball winner in centre mid who's going to put himself about and put his foot in that's why I would think of starting McCarthy against millwal and I'd think of playing tosun or dcl upfront and move richarlison back to the wing as it's time for us to give him a break from the striker role and maybe the inclusion of McCarthy might gives us the energy we need.

11.) 21 Jan 2019 11:01:02
When was the last time we played a 4-4-2 or a 4-4-1-1 changed tactics and took the game to other teams at Goodison, the opposition have against us we have constantly played the 4-2-3-1 since Martinez days and it really doesn’t seem to suit us every game!
2 defensive midfielders in front of the back 4 and we still ship goals in!

12.) 21 Jan 2019 13:12:31
You really classify Gomes as a defensive midfielder?

13.) 22 Jan 2019 09:29:25
Dave I refer to the formation as opposed to the individual players put there.

13 Jan 2019 19:11:36
Really don't care how we got them, we just needed those three points. on a side note Seamus looks so out of sorts his confidence has completely gone COYB.

1.) 13 Jan 2019 21:38:52
The lad is Everton through and through but there comes a time in every career that someone better comes along. In Colemans case Kenny is younger and legs are stronger but we do need another RB. Mr Silva is human and no different to every other Manager, they may deny it but they have their favourites and sometimes this blinds them to seeing loss of form. We continue to play Gomes at the moment when he clearly needs a rest.

2.) 14 Jan 2019 11:57:57
i thought coleman had a better game yesterday, weather it was knowing the manager will play kenny like he did in previous game or weather it was lookman doing more defensively in one game than walcotts done all season.

3.) 14 Jan 2019 19:32:03
Agree with that Johny1989.

25 Apr 2019 16:33:39
Just watched our game again and I'll tell you what our goals were quality. the pass and movement for our second was outstanding COYB.

1.) 26 Apr 2019 08:23:57
One of the best games I have seen us play billydean and particularly galling that some put more emphasis on Utd being poor more than it was our play that made them look like that. I think I as well as many others would just want us now to create that form away from home. Looking difficult (Watford and Wolves (in particular) not slipping, for us finishing 7th or perhaps even 8th, increases emphasis on moving on some players, while at the same time increasing Squad depth and quality in the summer.

2.) 26 Apr 2019 13:23:14
Not over yet mate. A draw with Wolves verses Watford would be best for us. Then Watford play Chelsea away, Wolves play Liverpool away, and Leicester play Man. City away. OK. we play Spurs away, but if we win our next two games we can do it. Should be exciting.

3.) 26 Apr 2019 17:44:46
If not a draw then a Watford win please.

07 Apr 2019 23:23:18
We closed every ball today with at least 2 players the guys fitness is very impressive we looked like a top team today COYB.

1.) 08 Apr 2019 06:53:48
Been calling for that for literally months BillyDean. That Squad of the 80's had skill but also that tactic/ method of doubling up and it worked really well. Royles warriors also worked hard but with less skill. The place was rocking yesterday, entertainment yes but first and foremost the will to win.

{Ed025's Note - and thats all we have been asking for BCT, commitment, hard work and some entertainment...and they gave it in bucket full,s yesterday, we are starting to look like a very good team but the hard work is just starting, we must secure the likes of gomes, zouma and gana or find top quality replacements mate..

2.) 08 Apr 2019 15:01:46
That is all I have ever wanted as a minimum, do that and the rest will follow hopefully.

3.) 08 Apr 2019 21:02:29
Whoever brought the siren idea in deserves credit, it has got Goodison from out of the Library and into fortress Goodison again, once Goodison is in full cry, there is no other ground anywhere as intimidating.

4.) 08 Apr 2019 22:16:13
Feel we need to get that Europa spot now to force them to spend in the summer. I know it’s a lot on the squad but if we want to push on we need to get used to the extra games season after season.

07 Apr 2019 23:21:27
How good were jags zouma digne DCL Gomes bernard today outstanding get in lads feel good factor overflowing.

31 Mar 2019 16:30:30
First signing must be Gomes.

1.) 31 Mar 2019 16:58:03

30 Mar 2019 19:30:52
What a very good performance it could easily have been 7 or 8 to us well done lads now to say a wee prayer for a spurs win COYB.

1.) 30 Mar 2019 20:56:41
Good team performance.
Come on you Spurs.

2.) 30 Mar 2019 21:10:12
Great performance, signs of improvement becoming more consistent now. We just need to put it all together on a regular basis. Please all spare a thought for Dark clouds and Crocodile Tears tonight though, they must be devastated.

3.) 30 Mar 2019 23:02:33
Good all round performance, really hope we land a striker in Summer along with Zouma and Gomes, cannot be unhappy with that performance tonight.

Spurs win or even a draw, will cap off a great weekend,

4.) 30 Mar 2019 23:16:48
Am cryin in my in tea lol.

5.) 31 Mar 2019 07:06:26
Grow up.

{Ed025's Note - i have to agree with you on that BCT, having a different view on players or the manager does not make anyone less of a supporter, its all about opinions and your not the only one who was asking for silva,s head mate in fact the majority were, hopefully he is winning us around and if we play like we did yesterday im sure he will..

6.) 31 Mar 2019 09:09:45
DCL coming of age. Gomes absolutely class act. The best the for me was the work rate from every player.
I must admit a few weeks back I started to have a doubt the players were not playing for the manager. This display has proved that they are and given us all a taster of what’s to come from this young but maturing team. I suppose there was always going to be ups and downs. Hopefully through the worst now and kick on with the younger players being more experienced, new players settling and a few more additions in the summer. COYB.

{Ed025's Note - we looked very impressive STB, some were saying how awful west ham were but we made them look that way and thats the same side that drew with liverpool a few weeks back, of course one swallow does not make a summer but there was enough out there to give us real hope that we are moving in the right direction mate..

7.) 31 Mar 2019 09:51:01
Some excellent performances (Gomes and Bernard) yesterday from our players but we were brilliant all over the park. Especially our midfielders, they completely dominated West Ham and that gave us the platform to go on and win 4 or 5. DCLs movement was great but his decision making and execution needs and will improve with experience. As bad as West Ham looked was more to do with how well we played. COYB!

{Ed025's Note - absolutely joe..

8.) 31 Mar 2019 10:03:44
This league is weird. There are the 2 top sides and then everyone else is capable of beating each other. 6 games ago and for the whole season prior to that, our defence looked like a sieve. I said at the time as soon as we can start defending and making a few clean sheets, the confidence would come back. I also mentioned about too many player like Walcott and Lookman who are either inable to challenge for headers and a need for work on defending set pieces and attacking on our set pieces. I know I was not alone in my views and on zonal marking. but it is plainly obvious that this manager can inspire confidence in players. He is also not so stubborn that he does not listen because it is clear he has worked on our defending now. all this allows our creative players to thrive. Our passing yesterday was quite superb. Our movement was a joy to watch. We have not played like that since Moyes' last season. I am one happy blue.

9.) 31 Mar 2019 13:47:19
Agree with that Degsyp.

Someone told me we've spent 250 mil recently to get in this shape that's frightening it it's true.
