Just saw TC on sky saying break the bank to keep lukaku I have to agree with him the big man scored a great goal for Belgium.

Trust me Billy. Even if we did he would still talk about moving to another club. His agent was even saying that if he signs it doesn't mean he will be staying.

If and it's a big if he does stay next season great but personally I think he's gone regardless of him signing a new contract.

billydean

1.) 11 Mar 2017 17:26:09
Hope his not playing against us next Saturday fair play to the the lad.

{Ed002's Note - No he won't be playing against Everton.}

2.) 11 Mar 2017 17:32:54
I don't think he can play against his print club.

billydean

1.) 27 Feb 2017 15:01:19
Sad day. Truly great player.

2.) 27 Feb 2017 15:14:08
I'm utterly shattered at the news. R. I. P. Mr Young. Thank you for everything. Idol and legend are words that don't do you any justice.

3.) 27 Feb 2017 19:37:44
Nooooooo!

4.) 27 Feb 2017 20:56:28
I can't believe it either, he was only 80. I consider it a privilege to have seen him play. RIP Alex.

5.) 27 Feb 2017 20:50:22
Tears in my eyes, I am in my sixties and watched the golden vision play with my dad many years ago, he was my dads favourite player.
To watch him an Roy Vernon playing together was a wonderfull site, and Alex allways a gentleman on and off the pitch.

All my thought to Alex's family at this time, I hope the club will pay a tribute to this great player, a minutes applause at the next game please.

6.) 27 Feb 2017 20:50:52
Sad news. R.I.P Golden Vision. A true great.

We mugged city for the stones money.

billydean

1.) 21 Feb 2017 23:17:00
He was well trained by Martinez in the art of side-way passing.

2.) 21 Feb 2017 23:31:50
Early days billydean. Still only 22. But at the same time I know where your coming from.

3.) 22 Feb 2017 09:49:06
He did well to score NBTB but his overall defending is poor but what I've noticed is how easily he's pushed off the ball he's muscled out of it quite easily but as you say it's still early days with him.

4.) 22 Feb 2017 16:05:07
Even at Everton I think stones is more of a midfielder than a centre half, would not be surprised if in his later career he is played further forward.

5.) 25 Feb 2017 13:34:33
Most center backs are not mature enough for regular Premiership action until they are 23 or 24 years old. Stones is exactly as Martinez stated. ahead of the game. Look at David Luiz. a similar footballing center back. He was ok 5 seasons ago. but not the finished article. Look at him now! Look at Chelsea with him now. Yes Stones still makes mistakes and is possibly a little lightweight. Perhaps he will never improve? But my guess is when he is 25/ 26 he will be England's captain and probably worth a lot more than what Man City paid us for him.

Ed025 I'm with you mate the chairman has put this club back on the road to the big time he could have sold up to the highest bidder but he held out for someone who would take care of his club and he's done it while being unwell and did it with dignity and character, the everton way remember he mortgaged his house for our club he's a champion in my book.

billydean

{Ed025's Note - mine too billy..
