i couldn't care less what they do i want us to win every game and finish as high as we can if that means helping liverpool along the way so what there helping us when they take points from teams around us so swings and roundabouts c'mon lads dnt be bitter now haha.

I was quite surprised by that result last night, I thought you'd get the win. What I don't get is you played some great football against Liverpool, why has that not continued? sure it's only been 2 games since but going on how you did against us I imagined you to get some better results against Newcastle and Watford. City and Spurs coming up, good luck against City, I hope you smash them!

Both Newcastle and Watford where more combative in defence and midfield. Plus we where poor in the final third had chances didn't score. Still a work in progress.

You have impressed me this transfer window overall. Has Silva impressed you with his signings so far? I think in the longrun he's going to do really well, this was his first window for you and he's improving you already imo.

I think success for both Liverpool and Everton is coming and I'd be delighted to see it.
Why do I think this? I see many teams falling down the pecking order the next few seasons.
Arsenal and Emery, he has to get it right which isn't an easy job to do, not with the quality in this league. If he doesn't then they're going to continue been 5th-7th, just as Liverpool were a few years ago. I rate Emery but I don't think he'll be successful at Arsenal, I think it'll take a few managers to get it right, unless the club are patient with him and wait a good 4 years so he can build his own team, we'll see but I don't see them been in top 4 anytime soon.
Spurs, it's a matter of time before they fall down a few places. They'll lose their key players most notably, Kane, Alderweireld, Alli, Trippier, Lloris and Vertonghen in the next couple of years. Spurs haven't exactly gone for it this window have they? I really think this with them being up there is very temporary, when they lose some of their top players they have to replace them well or they're going to suffer which as we all know, it isn't easy to do.
Chelsea, they're in a bit of a mess at the moment but let's not forget, they seem to thrive under pressure! still though, IF they lose Courtois and Hazard in one window then they're in trouble. A new manager, new everything, they're in for one hell of a rough ride in my opinion.
Utd, they'll always be up there as much as I hate to say it but they will, I can't stand Mourinho but he knows how to get results, I see them being a strong team come next season.
City will also always be up there but will they run off with the league like they did last season? not a chance, their defence is dire and people will attack them more which will see them cave in, we saw only a handful of teams last season attacking them and when they were attacked they crumbled because they can't handle it, they rely on their attacking threat too much. I hope to see more teams going at them next season because if they do god help them.
Liverpool have a more than capable squad especially now we have Alisson, it's a signing we've needed for years. The owners are fully behind Klopp which is pretty evident and Klopp is working his magic at Liverpool, we're up there ready to win that title, I said the other day I'm not the kind of person to say 'this is our year' I haven't said that for years but right now I am saying it because I do think it is, we're going to smash the league.
So where does that leave Everton? you need a hell of a lot of work there's no doubt about that but with ambitious owners like yours I wouldn't really worry about it, then you have Silva. They've committed themselves to a project, a project they intend on being successful. People may moan about this or that transfer fee but you have to think outside of the box a little and believe in what they're building, at least they're willing to put money in and go for it. It could be a lot worse.
There's plenty of spots up top ready for the taking and I genuinely believe Everton will take one of them. Patience is key here though, 3-5 years I'd say, let Silva get his desired team together and you'll be flying. It's easier said then done but fans play a massive part in all of this, you need to show support, it might be a bumpy year or 2 but given time I think you'll be laughing and I'd be happy to see that, forget rivalries/ banter I'd be chuffed to see Liverpool and Everton at the very top and it's coming!

Right or wrong, just my opinion :) good luck for next season, I'd usually be saying 'your going to need it' but seiously good luck, apart from when you play us, then I wish you the worst of luck on earth ;) .

Sadly a Liverpool fan trying to be nice because he knows as we all do they will do well. Sadly many blues like myself feel we will not do well this season, yes we hope but do not believe.

Excellent post Salah. Most of my generation (I am 78) came from mixed marriages. My Dad was a Blue and my Mum's family were Red. Big rivalry but it was not bitter and I never say anything bad about you lot. Good luck.
{Ed025's Note - the older generation seem more tolerant to me mike, in my day we all went to the game together red and blue alike and there was never a hint of trouble as far as i knew, it all ended up in the pub together whoever won and we were the envy of world football for that...maybe im an idealist mate but i really wish it was like that still now..

Me too. Ppl will say that’s soft but it was great growing up and seeing mixed crowds at Anfield and Goodison. You can still be rivals without a punch up. All games should be mixed crowds. Sad reflection of football that blokes can’t sit together for 2 hrs without a fight.

Salah seems like a nice guy, got his intentions wrong last time. But I just get tired of them, the majority of the people I know are reds, my everyday life is filled with them. Its nice to have a place were they don't usually go. Far too many enjoyed our misery last season and some who did, now have fake humility or the partonising and fake, you might do well this season wih the smug grin on their face. But I suppose I should not tar them all with the same brush. I went to watch the champs league matches wih liverpool fans and it was great, just got tired of them talking about Everton. Went to the semi-final second leg in my Dixie Dean top for banter haha but still supported them on as I got consumed by the atmosphere.

You hit the nail on the head there Ed25 and BlueMike1. End of the day life is too short to get daft about a game of football, we can all have our banter and what not but in the end all it's all about entertainment not being silly about it. Let's hope the younger generation can wise up in the future because that's where the problem lies, they take it too seriously!
You know it's at a bad stage when you can't take your kids to games because you want to avoid the confrontation/ abuse. I'd love to take my two boys to a Liverpool v Everton or a Liverpool v Utd match but I aren't wasting my time around the youngsters of today, I have to put up with them enough at work I can't have my kids around the fans of today, they're just too bitter.
