Hurry up and announce Sandro please Efc, getting nervous as if just seen a post about Dortmund on News Now "Dortmund interest puts Everton deal in doubt, Toffees fans will be worried Ninety Minutes Online 10:31"

Ninety minutes usually talk rubbish mate. Don't believe it until you see it.

Reading that Sandro wants a one year release clause in his contract and that's what is holding things up. I get the feeling RK will so NO if this is true?

Realistic Blue

1.) 22 Jun 2017 23:12:14
It isn't true it's Malaga playing silly buggers and trying to be difficult. They're not happy about the low release clause and are doing everything possible to be awkward.

2.) 22 Jun 2017 23:58:01
If the release clause states a price then that's the price it's in the contract, personally I'm starting to think Sandro is having second thoughts maybe going to hang around until January to get his move to A. Madrid I hope I'm wrong but Malaga can't play hard ball if the release clause has been met the only thing that can be holding it up is the player and his agent.

Spot on Steff.

Can anyone shed any light on why EFC need to arrange a £60M overdraft facility with a Chinese bank when we have a billionaire majority share holder?

Realistic Blue

{Ed001's Note - because all teams finance transfers with short term loans. Or do you think he sits around with hundreds of millions in cash just waiting for this moment? His money is not cash, it is mostly based on the value of the equity in the companies and property he owns, just like all the mega rich.}

1.) 07 Jul 2017 14:31:00
It's a facility to allow us access to money ad hoc and quickly. So we don't have to go to the bank to arrange borrowing, we can just use this sum and then top it back up after it's used. It just allows us to react quicker to purchases and transfers etc. It's a good thing.

2.) 07 Jul 2017 14:33:27
It's a float (granted a pretty big one) that the club can tap into anytime they like. So if in the transfer window a player Rom really wants becomes available then the cash is there. The club then don't have to go looking for expensive short term loans at high rates of interest.

Anyone know what's happening with Ross Barkley? I would like to see him sign extension and stay, although probably not first choice he could still be a valuable regular starter when we're looking for different options?

Realistic Blue

1.) 02 Jul 2017 22:20:34
I don't think Ross can possibly sign his contract. Unless he's happy to sit on the bench and reap 100k+ a week. And I think everton would be foolish to offer that contract for the very same reason. If everyone is saying it's his agent that started all this not signing want more money rubnish. Then he needs to finish it also. He needs to find Ross a club pronto.

I agree with some on here that say RB is a quality player who has still to fulfill his potential. However, how about this scenario? I get the feeling that RK has now lost faith and patience with Ross? If this is the case and the board convince Ross to sign and stay, I suspect RK will move him down the pecking order playing his own new signings in his position? If this was to happen and the board put pressure on for Ross to play would this ultimately undermine RK's authority with the possibility he'd would not sign an extension himself?

Realistic Blue

1.) 18 Jun 2017 12:14:26
I wouldn't think the board would get involved with team selection. If that happens then as a club we would be in a lot of trouble.

2.) 18 Jun 2017 13:17:01
Thanks for your reply Smt666. I agree the board should not interfere with team selection. The only reason I mentioned it was because I had heard rumours from a number of independent sources that the board were actively still trying to get RB to sign an extension. This may possibly conflict with what RK has already said about the player on national media. For what it's worth I'd like to see the lad sign the extension, get his head down and work hard to prove all the doubters wrong and that would include RK.

3.) 18 Jun 2017 15:26:54
I would like him to sign and then prove us all wrong next season however if he has another disappointing season his stock will have fallen so low we won't even get 20 mill for him.

09 Jun 2017 14:17:36
Does anyone know how the fair play rules will effect how much we can spend on transfer fees and wages? Will we have to sell before we can buy?

Thanks in advance.

Realistic Blue

{Ed002's Note - Don't worry about the money - the TV income is significant.}

1.) 09 Jun 2017 20:19:38
I listened to to the royalbluemersey podcast today regarding ffp definitely worth a listen says it's basically impossible to fail ffp with the broadcast deal the sticky issue is wages offered too complicated to go into have a listen.

I have to say I am very disappointed with the antics from Lukaku. Yes he's has scored 26 goals playing for a team which has been set up to play to his strengths! There is no doubt he is a quick, powerful finisher, however, he is nowhere near the finished article! He can be lazy and inconsistent with a poor first touch. He is now believing his own hype and disrespecting his current club! I say good ridance if we stick to our guns and hold out for £100 M we can buy two or three decent goal scorers. We should also focus on sharing the goals amongst the whole team and sign the appropriate attacking midfielders. I'm sure Walsh and Keoman have identified these players but it's about time the owners and the board got realistic about paying the going rate in wages if they want to get us CL football.

Realistic Blue

1.) 08 Jun 2017 05:54:21
To 'get real', where will the owners find the money to pay the going rate for champions league players, given that the average revenue of the five epl clubs in the champions league is almost three times as high as ours?

Good post floats. The American investors see the PL as a cash cow just like their own baseball and football franchises! Greed is the best word to describe them. We now know GS wants a piece of the blue revolution so we should wait until deadline day and offer even less than 40 mil (just like Spurs will offer 25M for RB) . Those greedy Yanks will rather pocket 35M for GS on deadline day than get nothing and end up with a player who thinks he's been badly treated by Swansea. Failing that we will get him for a more realist price in Jan window.

Just wondering lads, I've seen the reports too that RL has agreed personal terms. If EFC have not agreed a fee with CFC yet then how have they been allowed to speak with the player? Surely CFC have "tapped up" the player?

Realistic Blue

{Ed025's Note - everton have not complained so the club must be compliant with the approach from chelsea RB, they seem to be doing things properly and it looks like we are resigned to losing him mate..
