Ref Bramley Moore docks, heard a rumour peel, don't like traditional rectangle stadiums, so will be round or oval in design.

RL76 wouldn't mind round or oval for a new stadium I think there's so much going on behind the scenes that when it's all announced there will be a few shocks love Good is on but it's time to move on just don't want a stadium like West ham.

{Ed025's Note - a team like west ham would be worse lee.. :)

2.) 30 Sep 2016 09:40:02
Lee1878. An oval or round would look the great from the outside, just hope when it comes to the inside, they design it close to the pitch, so we can create atmosphere. The space behind then can be corporate etc.

3.) 30 Sep 2016 13:15:25
The fans need to be as close to the action as legally possible, as is practical as possible! and outside the ground whether it be retro or avant garde and progressively groundbreaking . as long as it looks like we mean business on and off the pitch especially from the aerial and river view!
In fact a world renowned iconic symbol of Merseyside and Football.

Anyway something on those lines. . 😳.

I'd be concerned if the building of our new stadium was tied-in to the local council wanting venues for their proposed hosting of the Commonwealth Games (2026?) - especially if public funding and planning approval are key issues for the development of a new stadium for Everton. The local council would surely want a stadium that could host a range of sports - not just football.
Just look at how West Ham fans are now reacting to the London Olympic stadium, which is an athletics venue - not a football venue. They miss what they had at their old ground.
We surely want to keep the Goodson Park atmosphere and closeness of the fans to the pitch even in a modern stadium with up-to-date facilities.

{Ed025's Note - i agree sid..

''concerned''

Me too Sid. . There have been so many 'jack of all trades' stadia that do not fulfill the needs of the 'football fan' who is a differrent spcies all together from a spectator of the long jump let's say .
So sitting down in the cold light of day I would hope the decision makers avoid making this glaring blunder!

6.) 02 Oct 2016 14:14:22
I happen to agree, I'm not fond of oval, bowl stadiums, the atmosphere is somewhat lost sometimes. I think we should have the fans as close to the pitch as possible, maintain the really intimidating atmosphere and keep it a place that teams hate to come too.

Mcarthy exit in january for 15mil, bought for 13 million, with these crazy inflated price surely should be 20+.

I don't think he will be sold in January. When Gueye goes to ACON in January we will need him as cover.

2.) 04 Oct 2016 09:46:56
RL . . Unless Idrissa pulls the plug on his international career, I can't see RK selling McCarthy in Jan. mate, he would need to buy before selling in this case imo.

3.) 04 Oct 2016 13:05:39
Blue/ ace. I like mcarthy and believe he can offer a lot more than RM got out of him. Responding to an article on newsnow, linking him away for a relative low fee in regards current inflated prices. Rumours also that he may of gone in the summer if other had of come off.

4.) 04 Oct 2016 13:46:20
I agree with RL76. On top of that I can't see Barry going beyond this season. Even if he does we need back up. Only having Besic is not enough.

5.) 04 Oct 2016 15:19:21
RL. Fair point mate. We all get most of stuff from NewsNow to be fair. Saying that. If he does go it'll be because we have a new replacement as 24 says.

NBTB you are spot on. As good as we all want Besic to become, we just can't rely on him due to his injuries.

We struggled to pass to our own men tonight. Ran into trouble and generally poor decision making. Slow and predictable. Lukaku held ball up better tonight and was the only positive. Take the draw but we need to wake up.

Watched remi on motd. Looks quality and versatile. Take a gamble bobby, . Bony had great movement today. Would love two good forwards at home and interchange for away and Europe

Hi ed
whats the situation with vellios. Think he is out of contract in the summer, any sign of a new deal or due you think he will go. Showed a lot a early promise but seems happy to sit on the bench and get paid for not alot. Why dosn't he want to go out on loan and better himself, like RL has done with us
RL

RL76

{Ed025's Note - I don't think he has done himself any favours RL, and that's a shame because I think he is talented..

Wrote a similar post last week ref to mcarthy's valuation. Where do they pluck these valuations from and when was the last time we sold a first team regular on the cheap. ( luke shaw 30mil full back bench mark)

RL76

{Ed002's Note - Whatever Coleman is worth is nothing whatsoever to do with the cost of Shaw.}

Costa signed perminately for wolves after the game. 13million May have to wait till the summer or less they are looking to make a quick profit

RL76

{Ed002's Note - MoTD fever. He is not moving to Everton.}

I would keep him, as short of other options. Think he could still come good under RM.
