Smalling, Wilshire, Tierney and Fonseca or Eddie Howe would do for me .
Good basis to start next season on without going mad on spending and IMO good solid personal.
Just scared if we keep on spending money like it's going out of fashion well end up ****ed ( Everton aren't we) . Never going to work for us!
Back to basics without going mental, with good players who'd walk into our team and reasonably priced and good a age .
Opinions anyone? think I'm being realistic and not too far fetched but sure someone will shoot me down. UTFT.

Wiltshire and Smalling represent a backward step, Fonseca has better offers on the table and Eddie Howe has no desire to come up north. Yer man from Newcastle for me as Manager. Garbutt as back up for Baines, Kenny for Coleman. Tosun is a good striker but needs the line of feed.

Eddie Howe anyone?

thomas tuchel? he had a good stint at dortmund as far as i can recall and seems like the caliber of manager we could actually get (still think if we tried hard enough for ancelloti we'd get him)

{Ed002's Note - Tuchel is also not an option.}

I like Eddie Howe and think he has done a fantastic job. I would like to see a young English manager given the opportunity to manage a big club like ours. But it is risky and a step up to what he’s used to. With bigger name players and higher expectations. But if he doesn’t get a chance we will never know. I would rather have hope and give him a chance rather than Sam though.

3.) 05 Feb 2018 09:43:50
Ed’s do you think Rafa would be a realistic target in the summer if Sam does get the boot?
Rafa is frustrated at not getting the backing. He is an experienced manager and can deal with big name players and their egos.
He could take us to the next level and is one of the best tacticians around.
He has managed big clubs before Real Madrid and Inter Milan. He also knows the area after managing Liverpool before he went to the big clubs.

{Ed025's Note - hes a decent manager robbie, i just doubt that our sans would take to him after his "everton are a small club" jibe mate..

4.) 05 Feb 2018 10:06:10
I’m sure Rafa is big enough to deal with this. All he needs to say is he was the opposition then and at the time Everton was financially a small team needing to sell their star players to invest in the rest of the team to be stronger.
The Everton today is one which is moving forward into a new stadium and has the backing financially to invest and improve the team.
Everton is a sleeping giant (Joe Royle) and is ready to awaken and take on the rest of the premier league and Europe over the next few years.

Sounds good anyway and it’s what I dream of.

{Ed025's Note - some will never see it that way mate..

Why would you want a blatant risk manager? May as well have stuck with Koeman.
We want the best man for the job. Simple. None of this "ooh he's young and British" nonsense. Have you been aware of the problems at our club?

We want a manager who is modern, tactically astute, respected by players and strong willed to handle fans expectations and saying the right things. Mostly someone who has world wide respect and has legions of players who would play for this team. Silva.

6.) 05 Feb 2018 12:39:22
The same silva that lost all at Watford, did he lose it cause of interest from us or did he simply just get found out?

7.) 05 Feb 2018 20:37:29
MTBTY are you his agent?

We ve got to get Kieran Tierney from Celtic, the lad is the best young left back in Britain.
If we don't sign him one of the top sides will!

Totally agree way better than Robertson at RS.

2.) 12 Jan 2018 15:02:16
we have Robinson who for me takes over for Baines long term no need to panic buy a lb just play garbutt or recall Galloway for now till end of season then as of next year Robinson is Baines competition.

If we're getting linked to Silva, Big Sam, Dyce, Unsworth, the Wolves manager? etc, how come Eddie Howe s not been mentioned!
Not saying it should be him like but surely he shouldn't be dismissed alongside those names!

Because he’s pretty poor and basically the English Martinez.

2.) 15 Nov 2017 12:04:26
Eddie Howes done wonders at Bournemouth and is far from the ‘English Martinez’ Swan. I get that that’s just your opinion mate but how did you make that assumption?

3.) 15 Nov 2017 12:56:36
He’s done well with Bournemouth but I doubt he can take them any further and that’s not just because it’s bournmouth, nice passing football but defending is terrible not to mention he gets homesick up North.

4.) 15 Nov 2017 20:50:18
And Eddie Howe is a blue.

Personally rather keep Barkley than pay £50m for Sigurdson, apart from set pieces don't think he can do what Ross can . I think Ross could be a great player now we've got better attacking players to share his burden and take the pressure off him which some so called evertonians love to put him under! The lads a scouser and a blue!

Preki

{Ed025's Note - that cuts no ice these days im afraid preki, its a dog eat dog world now in professional sport and im afraid thats just the way it is, dont be painting him as saint ross though as he is the main part of the problem, he was offered an amazing deal on fantastic money and chose to refuse it because of nothing more than greed, also his personal life has been clashing with his work and koeman has laid the law down so instead of sorting himself out he has sulked like a little kid, he has also been advised poorly by his agents who are looking for a quick buck but he cant see it, i believe he will leave and i wish the guy well christ im from the same area as him wavertree, i hope he gets a decent club and revives his career, i just dont see it as being at everton mate..
