Ok blue noses, deadline day tomorrow, what we expecting, gibbo and Bryan gone, anymore ins/ outs, defender, striker, midfielder, goalie, new tea lady

Once a howard

{Ed025's Note - my guess about deadline day is...that cringy jim white will be leering at all the female sky presenters and will laugh at his own unfunny jokes howie..

1.) 30 Jan 2017 20:16:02
He has come out and said he is now a Everton fans

2.) 30 Jan 2017 20:28:56
Thats why players are not signing Eddy

3.) 30 Jan 2017 21:06:44
Well I am sure there will be business done, GuernseyBlue

4.) 30 Jan 2017 21:27:03
No more incoming unless they are the quality we need so says Koeman. I can live with that.

{Ed025's Note - me too BDM..

5.) 30 Jan 2017 22:08:59
I am very pleased with this window. Some good additions both young and a little bit older than young, also we have got rid of a lot of dead wood.

RK certainly is not shy when it comes to wielding the axe.

6.) 30 Jan 2017 23:40:31
Keane coming in with Jags going the other way.
That's my guess. Happy with the business we have done in and out and wouldn't be fazed by a quiet deadline day.

27 Jan 2017 18:48:02
Can we expect a deadline day deal done or have we finished, is there any real prospect, not, talks are ongoing with targets or rumours that will never happen, hard evidence or not BLUE TILL I DIE. COYB

Once a howard

{Ed025's Note - in the end howie its all speculation as only a few privileged people will know the real truth, sometimes we will get wind of talks about players from insiders at certain clubs but distinguishing interest from definite bids is almost impossible mate as im sure people realize, hopefully we may bring in one or 2 more but for me even if we dont there has still been great progress in this window..

1.) 28 Jan 2017 13:02:42
I'm with you on this one ED, For a transfer window mid season this has certainly been one of our better ones. A couple more would be a great surprise but I don't think I would be wagering anything on it. I think Walsh and co are already looking towards the summer.

{Ed025's Note - i would like us to do a couple of pre-contract agreements in the summer myself grumpy, it takes out the stress...especially for me mate.. :)

2.) 28 Jan 2017 14:44:28
Just can't see it happening ED, Would love it if we did but let's not forget the Walsh - Koeman partnership is still a young one. Like everything else, at the moment with Everton, we must not forget to give this aspect time to blossom.

{Ed025's Note - very true grumpy mate..

Delboy loan confirmed

Once a howard

19 Jan 2017 18:51:53
Just watched RK interview bout Jags and Delboy, y do i get the impression he dosnt look happy, bout outs or infact any ins, if any

Once a howard

1.) 19 Jan 2017 19:05:49
Come on Howie get a grip, R K is the man to take our club forward, breath of fresh air I would say, i watched his interview and took it completely different to you, he was talking as it is, he wants quality not quantity which I am sure that's what is required, sit back mate chill out and enjoy the ride and you never know you might cheer up, GuernseyBlue

18 Jan 2017 18:58:52
Depay joins Lyon 21 mill, hope we make a statement of intent as to our direction, 1 good result dosnt make us the team we want to be, and the back room rumours don't make good reading

Once a howard

{Ed002's Note - A "statement of intent" to whom? And what would this "statement of intent" mean - are you expecting clubs to be concerned?}

1.) 18 Jan 2017 19:37:41
Reports state there was a buy back clause for Utd.
Is there any wonder we dropped out

{Ed025's Note - they dont want him back lance, thats why they insisted on cash and not a loan to buy mate..

2.) 18 Jan 2017 19:39:47
Just because we have a few bob doesn't mean we have a bottomless pit of money, still have to be smart with the money, maybe we have better options for half the price. I've spoken to a United fan who thinks he's crap so not overly worried about this one.

{Ed025's Note - me neither gibbo..

3.) 18 Jan 2017 23:26:01
They have put all kinds of clauses in the move if he becomes the player they thought he was going to be they can buy him back now wonder we ran a mile I am happy we got Schniederlin he's a good player there's better out there than Depay not a great loss if I am honest.

4.) 19 Jan 2017 05:29:34
A statement of intent would be winning football games not signing players for large sums of money more than they are worth or we can afford.

Depay isn't the answer in my opinion.

5.) 19 Jan 2017 07:19:53
I'm not sure what fans would expect as a statement of intent. I'm very happy with where we are heading, got a young talent in got a proven mid in. I would keep robles as 10 clean sheets in 21 games is a superb stat.

we have a decent defence with Holgate coming through so let's see where that goes and we have young Davies coming through in mid along with gueye back next month and macarthy back from injury we should be fine. we have lots of wingers so that's fine.

the only position he looks like wanting to strengthen is up front, if he does, great, if not I will support Valencia. it's looking good the key work now is consistency.

Im not been funny but do we need ( once a blue, always a blue ) Rooney, come on guys, we need to build a team for the future, ie next season, Wayne is best a midfielder now, need Defender and help for Rom up front

Once a howard

18 Jan 2017 20:26:41
A statement of intent by buying big, ie manolas, van diljk, seems we want good players on budget prices, RK will leave our club if we don't stump up, i do agree we need to be carefull with whom be buy, how many Evertonians are happy with what we have, are the eds happy, because i'm not, and I've been a fan for 50 years, good and bad

Once a howard

{Ed025's Note - its not just about throwing money around willy knilly howie, it has to be the right player who will suit the squad, we all know january is a bad time to buy and i think koeman will be given more funds but it has to be spent wisely mate..

1.) 18 Jan 2017 20:43:49
Hi Howie I don't believe in your philosophy, i think R K is here for the duration, i too have been an Everton fan for 60yrs and I think RK is definitely the the man for the job with Mr Moshiri I think the club is in the safest and most confident hands in decades, only my opinion cheers mate, GuernseyBlue

2.) 18 Jan 2017 21:03:22
I don't believe this.

Well as far as I'm concerned he can leave, Thanks for telling us. Did Koeman mention anything else when he confided in you?

When he contacts you again just remind him about the project he is on with the club and the fact we have spent the highest amount in this window so far.

Hmppfff and he calls himself a manager. Thanks for the insight.

3.) 18 Jan 2017 22:04:39
What is impressing me is the way we are trying to bring in quality young players for our u23 squad. It makes me believe that RK is in this for the long haul. We already have good young talent coming into the team, so the building blocks are being put into place. I agree we do need one or two quality players to strengthen the first team, and I believe this will happen.
But remember RK said this is a project, and projects take time. We just need to be patient.

4.) 18 Jan 2017 22:15:29
I like Koeman mate but the first whiff from Barcalona and he is gone like a bat out of hell. On another note I love the way the club is investing in quality young players there our future.

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona has identified a shortlist of potential managers and have two clear favourites - he is not on that list.}

5.) 18 Jan 2017 22:24:43
Thanks for that Ed that's a relief I like him.

6.) 19 Jan 2017 00:55:14
I said when we appointed Koeman he is a very fortunate manager, he joined when we got investment, he also came when we have probably our best crop of youngsters for a long time, he will get money to spend, it will take time but he has everything in his favour, if he as good as we think he will be then everyone's a winner.

7.) 19 Jan 2017 05:41:14
if he left for barca, then he must have done a brilliant job for the blues. gutted if that was the case. but then again we could attract a better class of manager than what we have been used to.

8.) 19 Jan 2017 08:56:26
We can't just chuck money at players because of the FFP rules. We need a business structure that plans successive seasons with growth and vision. That includes: some investment in players, a new stadium, a youth policy that includes taking on staff, a manager with ambition, financial investment where permitted and an outward looking board who will investigate other ways of bringing in money and using the FFP rules to our advantage.

If you look at what has been happening, most of those boxes are ticked or are being planned. Yes Koeman may well run off to Barcelona as soon as they see him having success. tell me a manager that would not!

At that stage, we should have a plan for a succeeding manager to replace Koeman. Unsworth is already showing great potential with the U23's who last Sunday provided 2 1st team starters. We had our latest youngster come off the bench and score.

We beat a side that cost about 300 million to put together (4 nil). please tell me why we need to spend big all the time? Yes I would love Van Dyke in our defence. he is the best center back at the moment. we could have had him for I think 8 million 18 months ago?

If we were working with our plan then, perhaps we would have. Mr Martinez brought a load of ageing players in. We are now linked with Yoric Ravet of Young Boys, another Tim Cahill in my view, but with more skill and a shot like Peter Lorimer.

These are the players we can get in. The club is in a better position now than since Moyes left. let's hope it is in an even better position. It certainly feels like it to me.

9.) 19 Jan 2017 10:03:40
Hi Degsy good post mate, we are in the best position in years I just wish some posters on here would take it in instead of this constant rubbish that is being printed, cheers mate, GuernseyBlue

10 Jan 2017 18:16:55
Whilst i appreciate we do our buisness behind closed doors, it is very frustrating getting linked with certain players whom may or may not join our great club, our form at the moment is rather poor, RK kicks off at the board but still no reaction, be patient people say, I've been patient for 20 years or more

Once a howard

{Ed002's Note - Koeman acted very unprofessionally - the board won't like that. The board has already signed one player for the club but it seems convenient for you to ignore that. It is a pity so many of the fans are so ungrateful.}

1.) 10 Jan 2017 18:36:44
I think RK has let himself and the club down with his recent comments as we all know lookman took a month or so to sign these things take Time there's a lot of money involved not just £500 at a time millions of pounds. We will sign more players if they are the right players and want to come to Everton in the current situation it's not the beat situation is not to be honest. The club know what we need and we have 3 weeks to conclude the deals moaning and booing doesn't get anyone anywhere. We have started this transfer window better than any other window so for me we are doing positive stuff

2.) 10 Jan 2017 20:48:06
Agree Eddy, it looks now like we will have spent 32m on two players to date, and sold nobody. Not long ago that would be something we would only have dreamed of. Sad people can't see that.

09 Jan 2017 18:13:37
Michy not good enough for Chelski, only bought him because we were interested, ar. h. les grrrr

Once a howard

1.) 09 Jan 2017 19:22:44
How does that make any sense? We're not anywhere near a threat to Chelsea so why would they buy a player to stop us from getting him?

Agree briĺl, a player from a lower league which may turn out to be the next messi, but we need to offload some of our stalwarts, as good as they have been, rumour is we got 50 mill to spend, peanuts in football terms

Patience is a virtue, pride is a passion of something you love, how patient do we have to be, a month, 2 month, then panic buy like our lovely neighbours.
