Hey Ed's, I know this has probably been done to death, but is there anyone who actively wants out the club at the minute? I realise lots of our players are on high wages so may not be so keen to move on. but don't wish to assume they're all happy!

Thanks!

Molly888

{Ed002's Note - Lewis Gibson who is on loan. Djibril Sidibe doesn't want the option taken up. Yannick Bolasie, Cenk Tosun, Oumar Niasse and Moise Kean.}

Ed002, does Gibson actually want out as in permanent transfer or just a season loan. Strange to sign a deal and then seek a permanent transfer out of the club. The other players I can understand, but may be unsure if Kean will be allowed to leave.

{Ed002's Note - Gibson, like many youngsters, wants assurances. With Everton contiuning to look for a CB it seems likely that his chance won't be coming soon - so he has to look at his options. A loan to a club who would give him game time and experience will of course be an option.}

if lewis gibson wants out why has he signed a new deal?

{Ed002's Note - In order to get a loan.}

Reports on BBC gossip that sidibe wants to make move permanent. The rest can go but would like Gibson to stay.

{Ed002's Note - Djibril Sidibe will change his stance as the Milan option has gone - and if Everton match his wage demands (which reflect the change in tax status).}

Cheers for reply Ed002.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

Spot on Ed with Gibson, Everton made sure he signed a contract before allowing the player to go out on loan.

From what I have seen of Gibson, he is a very good centre half with a nice composure who doesn’t panic.

Be a shame if he doesn’t get his chance at Everton.

{Ed002's Note - He is well thought of.}

if Gibson wanted to leave everton ed surely he would have just left on a free?
by the sounds of it a first team plan has been set out for him to go on loan this season, go on a higher loan next, then be firmly in the plans of the first team 21/ 22.

{Ed002's Note - What he wants is opportunity. Everton have signed another young CB already and are actively tying to sign a first team CB. That will be a concern to him.}

Thanks for the response Ed, much appreciated.

Frustating that today. Should be beating teams like norwich, especially if we were one nil up away from home. I don't mind grinding results out, but i'm just not as confident as I was three or four years ago ( when we did win loads of games one nil and the steel of the team was there to be seen). Still don't think Moyes out, wish he would come out with the contract talks though, and would have liked someone fresh in the team in january, frustrating all the deals that we hear about where in the last hours.
However. if we can save money and spend some more in the summer, then I can somehow see the sense in it. Just seems like we're paying for that now, would have liked to get someone in and hopefully push for that fourth spot and a cup win. I've said for a while now 6th is the best we can hope for I think, squads just not good enough, end of. The starting 11 on their day are more than capable, and I do agree that the rest of that falls to the manager, but by and large, I think Moyes should stay.
Sign a new contract, some money spent in the summer after we win the FA cup and take it from there. if we get a new manager, I see the rebuild taking longer than its worth. only because were so close to our targets now with Moyes.
And yes Moyes is negative. but let's face it, our squad is not good enough to play attacking football week in - week out, before this season Moyes has got us to wear we out by Solid hard work, excellent defence and determination. I feel its the Determination, and motivation that is missing. purely from the lack of jan signings and moyes contract talks.
Come on the blues, let's get to wembley and not let the reds finish above us. {Ed025's Note - you make some good points molly, but for me we missed the boat mate!...we were in our strongest position for years, and a couple of signings could have seen us make that final push, but now that boat has sailed, and its crew look demoralised and flat, just my opinion..

Do you think we have missed out on the chance of a good player there Ed002? Sanson is not a name I have heard/ seen mentioned before. Thanks for your time!

Molly888

{Ed002's Note - Most certainly.}

Sorry man, I didn't mean to be a personal dig at your comment so apologies. He won the league with Zenit as well mate so he's won two leagues which is more than good enough for me. Think he tried to change too much hat Chelsea getting rid of the "old guard" so to speak, I just think he would be a good choice. Personal preference though as always, he could come and he awful. I think people are wishing upon stars for Mourinho or Pellegrini so I was trying to be a bit realistic I suppose.

I know, God help us if we get a proven league title winner hey. No hope left for us.
What a daft comment.

Hi, to ed 07,

I do remember us being warned about Jelavic before we signerd him, and its clear that his ability is not what we first thought. however can I ask what you mean, "not for everton anyway"? Do you mean the standard of football in the prem? or that he has had a fallout and will be off soon? there is loads of ways this could be taken and I was just wondering in what context he won't score for us ( other than the fact he's just not good enough it seems )
Just a wondering, that's all.
we all knew he had his problems off field ( going on strike and so on) but have they followed him here? if you could let us know I would be happy! cheers!
molly 888 {Ed007's Note - I meant I expect him to leave Everton during the summer, sorry. Jelavic doesn't have a habit of hanging around at clubs and as you say, he went on strike at his last two in order to engineer moves away. If someone is willing to meet the financial side of any deal I am confident he will leave. Naismith is a much better player IMO, I'm surprised he hasn't been more prolific for you.}
