Lukaku about to do a u turn and agree a a new deal to stay at the club. Source daily mirror on line.

1.) 05 Jul 2016 13:22:02
I really hope he does. I think Everton are the best club for him, with his age he still has a lot to offer and a lot to learn. Given a couple of more years with us I honestly believe he would become that world class player that he thinks he is now.

2.) 05 Jul 2016 15:08:18
I hope he does but IF he does and its a big if it shows that a) Money talks and b) Everton can match the big boys of the league to keep our best players. I like Rom barring his shocking touch his laziness and the fact he doesn't just shut up and play football! But if we can get him focused for 12 months and he can bang in 25+ we can start demanding at least 70m without it seeming a joke to some.

3.) 05 Jul 2016 15:40:23
If rom stays i can't see koeman putting up with laziness or not improving his first touch.

05 Jul 2016 11:54:29
Rumours on twitter we have completed deal for witsel. 125k a week on 5 year contract. Announcement in next 24 hours. Would rather have mata myself.

1.) 05 Jul 2016 12:28:55
we can have both :)

13 Jun 2016 07:59:18
Morning ed. So is it going to happen today do u think.

{Ed025's Note - hopefully john, it seems very close mate..

13 Jun 2016 11:04:16
Richard Askham. Highly thought of northwest bbc reporter saying there is still some way to go in negotiations and an announcement in next few days is highly unlikely.

1.) 13 Jun 2016 11:25:39
I still have my doubts. I hope BK and Co are not holding all their eggs in one basket on the assumption that it'll all be sorted in the end. There are excellent other options out there and Everton are taking too long.

2.) 13 Jun 2016 11:54:51

. I wish some would show a little patience n just chill. the club are doing exactly the right thing by not publicly going about their business. hence the fact there are no reliable rumours whatsoever out there. just guesswork. there is absolutely nothing out there which can be relied upon.

3.) 13 Jun 2016 12:01:11
Patience. That's all we have showed. Other clubs get it done in a week. Look at Reading with stam. My patience has snapped. I'm really not bothered if we get koeman now or not. Sick of waiting and lost all interest. The excitement has gone out of it all now.

4.) 13 Jun 2016 12:07:17
Dave882 I think they have put all there eggs in one basket mate.

5.) 13 Jun 2016 12:20:56
Hi Ed here we go again so much negativity from some posters its all the usual tripe we get on here sometimes, patience is the name of the game chill out we have got the best investor we could ever wish for, new manager new players new stadium etc will follow wait and see, GuernseyBlue.

6.) 13 Jun 2016 12:22:09
The papers say it's all down to money again and nothing is sorted yet just hope they got a back up plan.

7.) 13 Jun 2016 13:42:17
My Goodness. Are we the most uptight bunch of supporters out there. He's just got back from holiday - a pre planned family holiday. So now he will meet to get the finer details sorted. PLEASE RELAX! This will take a few days which as expected and then it's to the business of assessing then strengthening. Until then stop thinking the worse and for goodness sake stop believing what is written in tomorrow's fish and chips wrappers.

10 Jun 2016 19:27:47
Evening mate. Just a question. Who do you think has made the decision regarding letting the likes of osman pienar and hi both go. Do u think Ronnie will have had any input in this. Cheers pal.

{Ed025's Note - i would imagine he would have john..

1.) 11 Jun 2016 17:35:05
Extending Gibson's contract and releasing Hibbert, Osman, Pienaar and Mattioni were not, in my humble opinion, critical decisions that could only be sanctioned by the incoming management team.
Even if Gibson doesn't fit in, he has a sell-on value now that he's on contract.
As for the youngsters that have been released, I'd imagine that Unsworth, Royle, Sheedy and others in the club/ academy would have made that call. They may even have assisted in the Gibson, Hibbert, Osman, Pienaar and Mattioni decisions.

Another rubbish dead line day for everton. Went from being linked with Gabbiadini to bhrimi. Now looks like we're getting valencia. Backwards step imo. Still spent none of is own money. Just the stones cash. Been let down by the club again.

{Ed025's Note - we have strengthened john, yes a few more would have been nice but the future for this club is going to be immense mate..

1.) 31 Aug 2016 19:34:56
Ed I like your optimism but why are you so convinced the future will be immense? We ha have money now and can't get the players in (or won't) feels very much like a load of near miss sob stories on signings that fans will swallow then forget only to repeat again next window. You Can't deny its a massive disappointment so far. No impact from moshiri money, apart from role in getting RK, all business funded by stones money.

{Ed025's Note - this is not the old everton robbo, this is an era when things will get better mate, we tried to spend major dosh here but if a player wont come or in reality a club wont let him theres not a lot we can do im afraid mate, moshiri is the real deal and i have total faith that the club is going places..

2.) 31 Aug 2016 19:35:13
That's a bit of a backward step sounds like even you have given up signing anyone decent Ed. but I agree with other guy we have had to sell before we could buy?

{Ed025's Note - then why are we offering sums of £30m for these players konehead?its a blip mate and will be rectified at the earliest opportunity..

3.) 31 Aug 2016 20:14:03
I hope you're right Ed, I really do. I think the squad is good now but we need more if we are going to move up the league, especially up front. If the Valencia rumour is true then it's a bit underwhelming. Hopefully I have a different view come 11PM.

{Ed025's Note - whatever happens robbo we are in a good place, new owner, new manager, a DOF, and a stadium on the way...whats not to like..

07 Jul 2016 15:41:59
Just seen a pic on twitter of witsel on a private jet with his wife and there kid. Location on the picture says liverpool England. Let's see if this comes off.

1.) 07 Jul 2016 15:59:56
That is apparently an old picture, not to stress though as he is hopefully signing soon.

2.) 07 Jul 2016 16:48:09
Sorry Dave he, s going to Chelsea.

3.) 07 Jul 2016 20:01:09
Chappie are you a red in disguise.

06 Jul 2016 18:53:40
So witsel going to chelsea. So much for moshiris millions. Nothing has changed whatsoever. Still takes a lifetime to do any deals. Seems to me kenwright still in charge of transfers and moshiri apparently supplying the money. Not seen it yet. A 33 year old keeper whoopee door.

1.) 06 Jul 2016 19:27:00
Has been confirmed?

2.) 06 Jul 2016 19:32:08
Give it a rest. The window only just opened. Maybe we should go out and panick buy on day 1 to please some fans.

3.) 06 Jul 2016 19:47:15
For goodness sake! All we have are rumours stop being so negative if Witsel doesn't come so what! On to the next one.

4.) 06 Jul 2016 19:47:44
Sorry, ment to say, has it been confirmed that he has signed for Chelsea?

5.) 06 Jul 2016 19:52:12
Hi Anomblue totally agree with you, i really thought that we would not have had anymore of this sort of tripe from posters beats me when you read that, that anyone would have have wanted to buy us, thank goodness its only the minority, GuernseyBlue.

6.) 06 Jul 2016 20:38:59
I'm sorry that we as a club have been through so many mediocre times but my god it's the 6th July not deadline day. So we not signed a big star yet and as per the papers are linking every player with every team so today he's not coming to us tomorrow he will be on the board of directors the press are everything we love and hate all in one they try to sell your best players like they did with stones or in the other hand they link you with every player to ever play football. That being said many If not all of us will put the tv on or pick up a paper to read what they are writing. So please Everton fans let our club get on with things and let's not start with the boards rubbish/ sack the manager stuff just yet.

7.) 06 Jul 2016 20:53:59
Totally agree Anomblue. Very early days. No need to panic, ever really 😊.

8.) 06 Jul 2016 21:10:02
It's not done yet. heard he's signing for us if you believe the forums.
It's only the sun reporting he's going to Chelsea. Everyone else jumping on there band wagon.

Check soli post from earlier today.

9.) 06 Jul 2016 21:48:28
If you believe 10% of what you read that's plenty. I read that Witsel is to replace Matic if he goes to Chelsea!

Please inform me if I'm insane but Witsel is no upgrade on Matic. Matic is one of the best in his position in the premiership imho. I know Chelsea didn't do good last season but Matic is top draw.

I'm not knocking Witsel. If he comes to Everton great but the report I read about Chelsea replacing Matic with Witsel is complete nonsense imho. Shows the complete make up stories they come up with.

14 Jun 2016 09:34:17
Signed sealed delivered. Would just like to apologise to u ed and all the other fellow blues for my negativity over laSt few days. Just been a frustrating drawn out saga.

1.) 14 Jun 2016 10:00:57

2.) 14 Jun 2016 11:07:17

Ronald Koeman will meet with Everton face to face today according to the Liverpool Echo as rumours start to creep in on Merseyside that this wil not be a done deal.

Ronald Koeman appears to have yet to have actually spoken to Everton directly regarding his proposed move to Goodison Park.

Although the full details of this move are very unclear, it seems that Everton had originally hired Koeman's now agent to persuade the Dutchman to move to Merseyside and that the deal was concluded between the agent and Everton whilst Koeman was on his way to his holiday.

This means that although the terms of any deal have been agreed that Koeman has actually yet to decide whether he wants to move to Everton or not, he has not sat down with Everton's representatives and sought their agreement on just how he would be allowed to run things should he decide to join them.

This means the deal is far from complete and even the Liverpool Echo who understandably are talking up Everton's chances say that there is nothing likely to be announced before Wednesday.

So far from being clear cut, it seems that although money has been agreed between Everton and Koeman's agent, there is still a fair way to go before a deal can be completed.

Also there is the question of whether Saints and Everton have agreed terms, Saints are said to be prepared to hold out for exactly what they want and even to go as far as to pay Koeman to sit out the coming season on gardening leave should these causes not be met by Everton.

So it seems that Koeman will speak to Everton, also almost certainly speak to Saints and then manke his decision whether to stay or go.

Whichever he decides it seems that this is not the clear cut case his agent was portraying 10 days ago and only wages have really been agreed.

1.) 13 Jun 2016 17:45:19
I have to admit I was always a little puzzled as to why the delay in signing. Some say, a, he was going on holidays.

I say that's an excuse. After agreeing (if it was in the first place) to accepting this massive job you don't just turn around and say, I'll not bother signing it. I'll go on holidays first.

Please?! That just doesn't happen. I'm not saying he won't be Everton manager and I'm not panicking. What I am saying there is a lot more to this than meets the eye.

I'm not sure whether the above poster is right in everything he says. I would definitely agree that there is more to it.

Just like a game is not over until the fat lady sings he's not our manager until he signs the contract.

2.) 13 Jun 2016 18:05:27
The OP's comments are exactly right, taken from the Echo with the Express reporting the same story; far from a done deal. Fingers crossed.

{Ed025's Note - its all just speculation though alan, only the people at the very top and ronnie and his agent know the real reason for the delay mate..

3.) 13 Jun 2016 20:39:16
I'm not buying it myself to be honest, just my initial reaction nothing against the poster. I can't see FM waiting around for just a possibility that his first choice may agree to join us and letting other targets slip by. We all seem to agree, judging by previous posts on here, that the man didn't become a billionaire by not being shrewd with his business dealings. This doesn't sound like the actions of a shrewd man.
There isn't too much going on with regards to transfers with most clubs, international competitions taking up most of the sports press, so there is room for not rushing into things. If it's true that he got back from holiday at some point today then we can expect news, either way, very soon. People get stressed too easily, someone was moaning on here at 10am today about RK not being unveiled! Was he even back from his jollies at that time? Has he actually been away :)

4.) 13 Jun 2016 21:09:14
There's nothing wrong here, just need a bit of patience. No need to believe the press who love a story.

Wouldn't hold my breath on him signing tomorrow. Had no confirmation have we he's signing. For all we know we might not be after him. It's only the press reporting it at end of day. And we take am age to do anything anyway we always do.

Do u know what dentie mate. I. Not bothered anymore who we get. Your right saying he's been on holiday but we heare the deal was virtually done. Now I'm hearing get there is still quite a bit of talking to be done. So as I've said in another post the excitement has gone of us appointing another manager now whoever that may be.
