Another wind up? Surely not going in for another LW? Any truth in this Eds? Admittedly I've never heard of or seen the player. Rumour below.

Everton are reportedly set to compete with Real Betis for the signing of Saint-Etienne winger Denis Bouanga who could be available for around £8 million.

Bouanga has scored 12 goals in 35 games for Saint-Etienne this season, despite the club’s struggles. He has also provided five assists, mostly from the left-wing.

Howie1878

{Ed002's Note - I don't know - my notes say: Denis Bouanga (LW) Lille have approached St Etienne regarding the transfer of Bouanga but were told he is not for sale. Rennes and Locomotive Moscow have also declared an interest in the player. Real Betis are open to replacing Christian Tello with Bouanga who contributes considerably more goals.}

Thanks for the info as always Ed002, much appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

I think Sky just said about Mo Besic possibly going to Sheffield United if the paperwork can be done in time. Not sure of the fee. Again I liked Besic when he first came especially the tenacious tackling but he was always injured then never got back into the team and has been loaned out ever since.

Howie1878

1.) 08 Aug 2019 20:30:54
Besic is going on loan to Sheffield utd.

2.) 08 Aug 2019 20:40:23
Has iwobi signed for us can’t see anything anywhere.

08 Aug 2019 17:04:19
I've had the in laws sending me news that we have signed Alex Iwobi for £35-40 million. I really hope that they are winding me up.

Any truth to this Ed? I know you said the other day about him in negotiations with another team so this could be the end of our interest.

Malcom is due for a medical with Zenit St Petersburg on Friday according to various rumours. I think we've left it too late for this one which is shame as I would like to have had him. I don't see the appeal of the Russian league in all due respect compared to the Premier League.

Howie1878

{Ed002's Note - Yes, Zenit have made an acceptable offer.}

1.) 31 Jul 2019 17:24:25
Friday is plenty of time to highjack the deal. He jumped ship at Roma last season with hours to spare (I know not the best quality to have in a potentially new signing, haha)

2.) 31 Jul 2019 17:50:04
Zenit can also offer Champions League games.

3.) 01 Aug 2019 00:37:49
Zenit is also a top team in their league and have the high wage billto persuade players into going there. But on the other hand, they have a highly volatile fan base and especially to players who are Caucasian. So there is a chance that he changes his mind when he travels there.

4.) 01 Aug 2019 01:18:55
Pretty certain Malcolm isn’t Caucasian mate 😂.

5.) 01 Aug 2019 16:22:34
I didn't say he is, i was saying he might get hate from the fans for the colour of his skin without coming off as a racist.

30 Jul 2019 09:03:31
Sky Sports reporting Gana has been signed for £29 million by PSG. Good luck to him and I hope we can get a good replacement in. I'm a little bit gutted but it's been on the cards since January.

Howie1878

1.) 30 Jul 2019 09:58:57
Agree Howie. Few years of excellent service and a 22 mill profit. Wish nothing but the best for him.

2.) 30 Jul 2019 10:35:55
And a lovely classy farewell to the club on his Twitter
The way he has conducted himself since Jan when he stayed has been nothing but professional, congrats Idrissa on your move!
There are a number or other players, who sulked and moaned to angle for their moves, who should take note of the professionalism shown by Gueye in this.

3.) 30 Jul 2019 12:23:21
So is Delph Gueyes replacement! Recap Gueye out Delph in, Gomes in from Loan, no Zouma. Hmmmm.

4.) 30 Jul 2019 12:25:21
Well said, a fine servant and conducted himself with dignity and honesty. Good luck at PSG, really hope it goes well.

5.) 30 Jul 2019 12:49:16
No even marco said that delph isn't geuye replacement, i could see us bringing in a high profile loan to replace him.

6.) 30 Jul 2019 13:12:12
I believe we have probably got the best years from him and then sold him for 4+ times we paid for him. Good business for a very good player + person.

Thanks Idrissa you will always be remembered for giving 100% for the cause every time you stepped onto the pitch. NSNO.

7.) 30 Jul 2019 19:19:25
Delph will be a squad/ 1st team player, how much 1st team action he gets will be down to him and his input.

Another fan made shirt seen on another site. Still has the current sponsor. Also has the chevrons on the shoulders and in the shirt.

Howie1878

1.) 22 May 2020 19:58:56
That one's got a 70's vibe about it, Howie. I've seen some decent ones from various people and they all look good. Can't wait to see what Hummel come up with for next season, if we ever reach it!

2.) 22 May 2020 23:18:26
With some of the kit designs these last few years, the fans concept kits always look good, surely the club and shirt makers could take a look at some of these ideas, then have a fan vote of the best.

Although a lot of fans disliked a particular away shirt, I actually thought the Salmon stripped away shirt around 92 was one of our better away shirts, discounting the seventies amber which for me was the best away shirt of them all.

21 May 2020 09:49:58
Read today that apparently talks with Rovio Entertainment (Angry Birds) have ceased so we could potentially be looking at a new sleeve sponsor unless talks resume. So just to recap it all we have a new kit manufacturer in hummel, new main shirt sponsor (will be announced soon enough surely) and possibly a new sleeve sponsor also. I did a bit of research and as far as I can tell hummel were last seen doing Aston Villa's kit in the Premier League (at least) way back in 2007.

Taken from the clubs statement.

Everton Football Club has agreed a Club-record technical partnership with iconic sportswear brand hummel.

The three-year agreement will see hummel manufacture and supply Everton with bespoke playing, training and travel wear ahead of the 2020/ 21 season.

As technical partner, hummel will kit out the Men’s, Women’s and Academy squads as well as the Club’s coaching and Everton in the Community staff.

Founded in 1923, Danish sportswear brand hummel are one of the oldest team sport brands in the world with an incredible footballing heritage. The deal will see the Blues become hummel’s global flagship club partner.

Everton Chief Executive, Denise Barrett-Baxendale, said: “This announcement marks the start of an exciting new commercial relationship as we welcome hummel to Everton.

“It is really important that we drive maximum value from our commercial deals and this is a Club-record deal for a technical partnership for Everton. It is also important we work with brands that share our ambition and we have all been impressed with hummel’s originality, commitment to quality and vision to challenge expectations. We look forward to working with them to deliver our players and supporters an exciting range of products over the coming years. ”

Umbro has been Everton’s technical partner since 2014 and will continue the partnership until the end of the 2019/ 20 season.

hummel CEO Allan Vad Nielsen said: “hummel is excited and honoured to partner with Everton. ”

“Entry into the Premier League is integral to our ambitious growth plans, international expansion and focus on sport. Timing is also perfect as it is the 50th anniversary of Club legend Alan Ball introducing hummel to the UK market with his legendary white boots. Everton enjoys a massive following both domestically and globally, providing a fantastic engagement platform and positive outlook going forward.

“We have great faith in Everton’s future plans, the Club’s impressive history and its many passionate fans – all providing a perfect fit for the hummel brand. We look forward to playing an active role in helping write the next chapter of the Club’s illustrious history. ”.

Tidy - looking forward to seeing what they come up with as the new kit as most recent kits have all been a bit of a let down. Fingers crossed for something different and good for a change.

{Ed002's Note - I suspect it will be blue again.}

2.) 20 May 2020 13:40:58
There was more to the post but I cut it short as there's enough information there. It's going to be strange seeing an Everton hummel kit but I'm sure it'll grow on me. Then there's the new shirt sponsor to be put on it as well whoever that might be?

3.) 20 May 2020 16:02:01
Why will it be strange to see an Everton Hummel kit.

4.) 20 May 2020 17:20:45
Well I can remember us having Umbro, Nike, Puma and Le Coq Sportif kits but Hummel has never done anything for us before. I can remember them doing Spurs kits in the 80's and early 90's. I wonder will our kit incorporate the usual Hummel chevrons in it's design?

5.) 20 May 2020 17:59:45
I think Edward002 might be on to something with his stab in the dark, haha.

{Ed001's Note - might be worth having a look at the Rangers kits from this season, they were made by Hummel and might be an idea how they would go.}

6.) 20 May 2020 20:56:23
I have looked at those kits cheers Ed001. I'm intrigued now as to the final design. Well it looks like we will have chevrons on the home kit as I first thought as hummel have tweeted this.

"WE ARE BACK IN PREMIER LEAGUE
From next season hummel will have the privilege of dressing Everton in our famous chevrons. We can't wait to join this historic club.

{Ed001's Note - yeah I couldn't imagine a Hummel kit without chevrons. It is their signature.}

7.) 21 May 2020 09:50:41
I can't wait either to be honest looks to be a good deal all round.

8.) 21 May 2020 13:55:09
I quite like the Rangers kit either this years with Chevrons on the shoulders or last years with them under the arms down the side of the torso
Also Rangers have a sponsor under where the shirt number goes, good place for extra revenue to be generated
I hear the Hummel deal doubles the revenue from the Umbro deal per season so a small step in right direction on the financials as well!

9.) 21 May 2020 14:01:17
You might want to look at the Hummel St Pauli rainbow kit or the 2018 Ibiza kit.

10.) 21 May 2020 18:20:26
Well they are hardly going to create something like that as a kit for us like I can’t see them using the red like on one of the Rangers away kits
But I do like the chevrons on the shoulders and the team crest within the main shirt
Maybe they could put Nil Satis Nisi Optimum across the back of the shirt at the bottom. let opposition read that as Richarlison dribbles away from them to score!

11.) 22 May 2020 23:22:23
Should have sponsors names at the bottom of football boots, amount of times players spend rolling about on the floor will get plenty of exposure.

23 Feb 2020 20:51:22
Well we gave it a go at least. We probably should have at least got a draw out of that. Poor defending cost us in the end. I know DCL missed a few opportunities but he has improved his game immensely this season.

Sigurdsson was extremely poor today. Iwobi had 2 good chances in the first half but woeful shooting let him down. Pleased to see Andre Gomes back in on the action. Baines got a rare run out as well.

Sidibe was like decent one minute then poor the next. I'm not sold on him as our main right back so I wonder if the club do actually buy him after his loan spell ends? .

Howie1878

1.) 23 Feb 2020 21:51:54
Agree mate Siggy was awful lots to do on. the training ground.

2.) 23 Feb 2020 22:34:20
Sidibe was left isolated by Iwobi not covering and going inside far too much. Got to be taking the chances when they come along, if we had a striker of Aubameyangs quality we would have won that game by miles.

3.) 24 Feb 2020 07:27:04
Poor defending first half. Second half midfield were asleep for their third but after that could easily have drawn/ even won. Good effort.

4.) 24 Feb 2020 08:59:47
wouldnt say iwobi had 2 great chances. first one maybe was a great chance, wasnt a poor shot though was close. second one was hardly a chance. gylfi was awful yeah i don't see this side going the places we hope with a lazy uninterested player in the midfield who hides like he does.

5.) 24 Feb 2020 13:56:16
Iwobi had good opportunities to score and he didn't hit the target either time if I remember correctly. If we had scored and made it 0-2 then I think we could have won and seen the game out. Bad misses at crucial times in the game. I'm not blaming him solely though because we had enough opportunities to score but didn't. We had 17 shots in total but only 5 on target in the entire game compared to Arsenals 9 shots 4 on target (3 of those went in) . Arsenal conceded defensively worse goals than us I'd say but we still switched off and got hit with killer passes which ultimately resulted in goals. Poor marking and not blocking the cross coming in were detrimental to our downfall.

6.) 24 Feb 2020 18:28:15
Iwobi doesn’t get over the ball when shooting, but leans back, which is why he doesn’t get a shot on target. Weird really as you would think this would be something they would practice during the week.

7.) 25 Feb 2020 04:17:02
I would take Siggy out of the team and play Bernard further in as a number ten.

Good player in Bernard but think he could offer so much more not playing out wide.

01 Feb 2020 11:37:13
So just to recap our January transfer window.

In:
Jarrad Branthwaite (Carlisle, undisclosed)

Out:
Kieran Dowell (Wigan, loan)

Callum Connolly (Fleetwood, loan)

Cenk Tosun (Crystal Palace, loan)

Morgan Feeney (Tranmere, loan)

Lewis Gibson (Fleetwood, loan)

Jonas Lossl (Huddersfield, loan)

Antony Evans (Paderborn, loan)

Kieran Phillips (Huddersfield, loan)

I think it was always to be expected that we were going to have more going out than in. There are players like Martina (contract expiring in the summer) and Niasse who I genuinely expected to be going in this window if I'm honest. The biggest challenge will be to offload the unwanted players. No doubt it will be in motion approaching the next transfer window or months before. The summer should be interesting at least.

Howie1878

{Ed002's Note - The fee for JB is £1M plus £50k payment to The FA. There are no agent fees and relocation and other fees do not need to be disclosed, but won't be much.}

I haven't a clue who we've been in talks with. As long as it's a good deal for the club that's all that matters.

I did see a fan created hummel kit with USM as the sponsor and Megafon on the sleeve.

He's not our first option or mine but let's give him a chance and welcome him to the club if it does go through. I'm always willing to give players a chance. Arsenal fans are split on Iwobi according to my in laws. Some are not bothered and others are gutted.

We need more pace and creativity in our midfield that much is obvious to me. The comments coming up may seem harsh to some but I think most will agree with me that it's in our best interests to find alternative solutions for these players.

1. Sigurdsson - looked well off the pace (has done all season) and even Gary Neville mentioned how bad he was (for once I agree with Gary) . I think it's time we moved him on.
2. Delph - I'm not a fan of and didn't really want us to sign. I just don't know what he offers the team apart from a backwards pass.
3. Iwobi - runs and runs but essentially doesn't really do anything.
4. Schneiderlin - has been better lately but has had enough chances now so another to go for me.
5. Walcott - too little end product and has been the same throughout his career.

Gomes and Bernard are the ones I'd keep. Nobody really knows about Gbamin as we've hardly seen him play. Basically look to rebuild our midfield in the summer. Wildcard entry is Holgate. I think he could play in midfield. I've been impressed with his passing range and reading of the game.

Howie1878

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with any of that howie mate..
