I think we have to trust what Silva and Brands have in store for us some fans will never be happy with who we get linked with. I'm happy with most of the names mentioned Maddison, Carvalho even Rashford to name but a few I'm looking forward to this summer and hopefully a transformation of the team.

I actually feel quite sick, Baines going. He's last of the marvellous 4. Baines, Arteta, Cahill and Pienaar. Coleman was at Blackpool.
I'm a gutted to, we are giving him away. Ok he's in his 30's but he's still got legs. He wouldn't just walk away after the team's had a terrible season would he? Something must of happened, but what? This is like the quickest transfer ever isn't it. He's our only left back. So guaranteed a spot unless we get a world class left back. But if we are getting a left back that's up and coming then that's to cover him and show him how it's done. Not to replace him. So if he goes, now we need 2. So I don't get it.

I agree with Lee, it is not all about money and Baines has been a brilliant servent to our football club.
We should thank him for all he has done for our football club and let him enjoy his few remaining games with a new career in the states without worrying about a transfer fee.

I think if he does go, he should go with our blessings. I think it'll mean we'll prob bring in an established left back and a 20 year old ish Dutch or German (It seems) up and coming player.

It's no disrespect to the player to get a transfer fee. No reason for him to go on a free. Not like LA Galaxy can't afford to pay one. And not like Baines is washed. If he asks for his walking papers, I say we get what we can for him, but let him go with our blessings.

i am starting to see paul clement' comment on it won't go right to the last day as a mino moment, when he said his 999.9 or whatever he said surely it is swans intent to hang on to the player until the last day . that is probs what was meant when they said they won't be bullied a few weeks ago if you have to lose a player who wants to go but you don't want to sell then ask way too much and then leave it to the last day of the window then you don't have to spend the money on replacements. i don't think this is about price anymore and it can't be as reported down to efc it is about swans losing the player on their terms completely and utterly in every way and when they say. albeit we are stupid for being so focused on this one deal and to have no alternates. its a typical efc transfer fiasco.

This deal will happen. too much time effort and public ego have happend for it not too. Only my opinion but I think Everton must have approached the swans with a list of young players that will make the deal possible, knowing what positions the swans need cover for. Let's just get the deal signed so both clubs can move on and the poor journalism can stop!

From what Brands has said, we need to ship b4 we can buy, and we havnt mega millions to spend, so have we or havnt we, can agree we need to trim the squad, not nameing players, but is our budget relying on what leaves?

I think GH the big thing is wages as Brands says we need to trim the squad our wage bill at the moment with I think 38 players is way too big and any new players may ask for higher wages than we are paying now, let's trim the squad get some money in from the transfers and lighten the wage bill then see were we go from there. I'm sure once we see movement things will become more clearer and we will start to see a more streamlined squad. I'm just happy we have someone like Brands who knows what he is doing has a plan and sees a bigger picture and is also looking to the our future.

In all probability Mr Moshri is now getting sound advice from someone (s) , reflected in his choice and appointment of Mr Brands, Mr Silva (you know my opinion on this one but of course he is now our Head Coach so deserves my support) and their backroom staff. One thing is certain, the advice he (Mr Moshri) had off someone (s) in appointing Mr Walsh and Mr Koeman left the Club bloated with poor to average talent at best. This has immediately led to Mr Brands and Mr Silva with a vast amount of cleaning up/ clearing out to do before they can even begin to recruit for vital positions in the Squad. A few weeks I predict before we begin to see the shape of Mr Brands/ Mr Silva's new squad. COYB.

We've got a pretty decent squad already and it's just a few additions the are needed. It needs a clear out which is well documented.
After this summer it's a case of building on those foundations being laid.
I'm looking forward to the attacking players already at the club and how they play with a more attacking manager.
