So far no real surprises we have bought two ex Wigan players, one free transfer, and 1 loan player. The leaving has all been about Baines and Fellaini. If I am honest half the players that we are linked with I have never heard of but that's because I don't play FIFA13 or the like I guess. The other McCarthy looks good, but not the value the press Keep reporting.
So what next? Firstly, this years transfer dynamics have been dominated by nothing actually happening very much apart from the big money clubs buying the players only they can afford. I believe Fellaini will go soon for circa £20m plus add ons simply because we don't really want him and we can cash in at a semi respectable price. The release clause only works if someone is prepared to pay it and nobody was so his market value is sub £23m unless interest from Arsenal or the like starts an auction.
We will then buy I suspect McCarthy at the right price and someone who will be a game changer. We have not had a plan B player for years so let's hope we find one. Of course like everyone else I am waiting for a surprise package! Right now I think losing Baines is still a threat. He can say he is staying and the club can offer him an enhanced contract. As neither has happened watch this space.

It's over 50 years that since I broke my father's heart and declared I was a blue. My wife tells all who will listen that a good weekend is wholly dependant on whether Everton win. My 50 years have witnessed great Everton teams and some woeful ones, but I have always firmly believed that being a blue is being a member of the best supporters around. I hope this is still the case, but I am getting worried!
Having read recent posts on this and other sites it feels like either many of my fellow blues have lost the plot or we have been infiltrated by wind up merchants who are sadly succeeding in mass negativity.
Stones has not been sold and I hope he stays, but if someone offers £40m he will go because it makes financial sense to sell and reinvest in the team. I do not believe that many of the so-called missed targets wherever on our radar. Big news, newspapers make up stories to create interest!!
We have the makings of a good team. We know what the club have said they are looking for. Even with funds to utilise we have limitations so spending wisely to maximise benefit is the only way forward. Make your judgement when the window closes. I doubt you will be disappointed.

Not a rumour Ed but more of a reality check. Reading of late has become a bit depressing with posts that seem always to paint us black rather than a perfect shade of blue. Fed up of reading about all the players we have missed and giving in on Baines and Fellaini.
There have only been two questions this transfer window that matter. Will United pay enough for Baines and Fellaini as they are the only interested buyer. Second, do the players want to go? If the answer to both questions is yes then it is a done deal. No use keeping unhappy players and if the money is right it's pretty good in a one bidder auction.
As for the ones we have missed where we ever really able or indeed interested? Much of what we hear is paper talk. Clearly if they go we need a new LB, CM, and based on current scoring record someone who can hit the back of the net. We will know in next 15 hours or so whether to smile or cry!

Don't come much dafter than this. Never saw Terry as the kind of guy who would get sent off just to help get his replacement in. That said, the consequences are likely that Chelsea will put a bigger bid as the last two games have shown Terry as vulnerable to pace and no longer able to rely upon his positional play.

I hope those who organised this disgraceful banner before today's game have a think about the further negativity they are promoting. Then again I am probably asking too much as idiots rarely think!
It was a day to celebrate a very good game where Everton played as good as I have seen for sometime. I hope we can all get behind the club and the team to see where we can take this. I hope also that we can have a little faith in our transfer activity rather than the constant panic. Nobody truly knows who we have even bid for, but you would think from this and other sites we have missed out on just about everyone who has changed clubs. Two words none sense!

I can't believe the negativity or the stupidity of some of my fellow fans. I think if we had signed Tom, Dick, and Harry and they all looked good on FIFA15 then we would be talking top 4, but as we are being a little more prudent to get the best spend then we demand that Kenwright sells the club. Do fans really believe there are a line of Russian billionaires or Arab sheiks lined up to invest their hard earned petro dollars in our club? We seem intent of rubbishing what we have, which begs the question what sort of fans are we?
I understand frustrations, but the constant bitching and moaning is not only depressing, it's getting boring.
{Ed025's Note - a lot of it is out of concern for the future of this great club fishy, tell me that your happy with the squad we have and the way we are run? its ok having ostrich syndrome mate but as shakespear put it.."something is rotten in the city of denmark"..
