Hi Ed, I'm seeing today that Chelsea have interest in Lewandowski after reports of him being unsettled at Munich. could this have an impact on the Lukaku deal? Surely they wouldn't want to be paying mega money for both of them?

EFC_Deano

{Ed025's Note - thats right deano and the way i look at it man utd and chelsea will get either lukaku or lewandoski, but i would imagine that aubameyang would also come in to that equation mate..

1.) 21 Jun 2017 12:03:54
Nice one Ed, not too fussed where he goes as long as we get the right price!

2.) 21 Jun 2017 13:14:45
As long we as get rid will do me I never want to see him in a Everton jersey ever again the disrespect he has shown our club has been disgraceful and our fans just get rid of him every week he is still here is another week we are paying his wages couldn't care if we sold him for 50 mill just get rid.

3.) 21 Jun 2017 12:57:36
There have only ever been 2 options for Lukaku, Man Utd and B Munich. Who his Agent has been talking to I don't know but it seems Chelsea were never in the running. But, who will pay £100 Mn for him?

4.) 21 Jun 2017 18:26:45
No one will pay 100 million for him, so he may end up staying if the club are going to stick to their guns on it. If we don't need to sell then there's no panic. It does seem though that we are on the look out for replacements as a precaution of course.

5.) 21 Jun 2017 21:59:27
How about a straight swap for Lewandowski, one can only dream.

6.) 21 Jun 2017 22:32:35
Stef the blue I echo those comments. Close the door on the way out Rom and grab Ross' coat for him too as he will need it when he is frozen out of the Spurs side.

Really happy with that performance today. shame the ref got over excited when he had to step up, we were cruising until that moment. But the desire was back today and we looked hungry - a moment rarely seen last season.

Let’s hope the competition for places is keeping everyone on their toes. Onwards and upwards lads! Oh, and Richarlison’s second. absolute class.

Haven’t posted for a while, but felt the need to after today. Usually the last minute drama is about us losing someone, but i’m very impressed with the business done and hoping we get Zouma over the line!

These lads might take some time to settle, but I’m really looking forward to seeing Gylfi do the business this year. He came in last season with a big price tag on his head and was played out of position - think he can be massive for us this season.

Here’s to some attacking football. :)

Thought we'd have seen some more action today, although it's not over yet. Just read the young Croatian lads comments about signing. You know he's going to be one of them players who leaves everything on the pitch and is proud to wear the shirt. Welcome to the club Nikola Vlasic!

Right, we got a couple of hours left. who's next? :)

Never mind about the game, who saw Gylfi's Mrs!? : )

Solid win tonight. so happy with Keane and Pickford, think they're going to be pivotal this season. Gueye and Schneiderlin dominated the midfield. Massive tempo change tonight and hope we take that 1st half to City on Monday. COYB!

I think if you earned £100k+ a week you could look like Quasimodo and still pull a worldie.

2.) 18 Aug 2017 06:50:23
you on about Crouchie there Gibbo :) , I always remember on soccer am I think it was, the presenter asked him what he would be if he wasnt a footballer, he said a virgin ha ha.

Come on lads, we're still in pre-season and a lot of negativity already. I agree it wasn't a great performance and difficult to watch at times, but we were playing against a brick wall. They will have to come out at their place and we'll have more space. My only worry was the pace of that back 4.I thought Keane had a good game, but he needs someone with a bit of pace alongside him. Williams looked very rusty and I'd be very disappointed being Holgate or Kenny not starting because I think they're both better than Martina. Rooney had zero service, but he looked like he was trying too hard. emotional occasion for him? Davies should've been on half time for me and thankfully Sandro was a breath of fresh air. I think we need another CB and a target man striker for the season. Early days yet. COYB.

{Ed025's Note - good summary that deano mate..

1.) 28 Jul 2017 07:51:22
The voice of reason Deano. Good post mate. One thing I have learned over the years is never predict a season too early, and it doesn't get any earlier than this. Whilst it was a competitive match we are in a pre season fitness state, so a little patience is needed.

It needs to be faster and naturally there needs to be some more understanding amongst the new signings. This will come. Chin up lads. We won and kept a clean sheet at home. If we score away from home the tie will effectively be over.

COYB.

2.) 28 Jul 2017 08:33:18
Totally agree boys, I think many thought it would be a stroll when you know these teams come to stifle and frustrate, getting numbers behind the ball, niggly fouls etc etc.
certainly bright points were Gueye looked right on his game from the start, I thought Baines had a good game and Sandro livened it up up front.
I think it highlights our need for another striker, giroud would have been able to hold the ball up and challenge their CB. Agree with comments about Williams he looked off the pace, and we need another winger with a bit of pace and an ability to take defenders on.

{Ed025's Note - these games are not as easy as some seem to think wakka, no other team won by more than 1 goal which shows how difficult these sort of games can be, lets just get behind the team and manager and do what supporters should do which is support, there are no easy games in football these days mate..

3.) 28 Jul 2017 08:54:23
spot on ed025, the away game may suit us with the expectation that the home team will come out and chase for a goal, perfect for a counter.

Would’ve let Gueye go for £30m and have McCarthy/ Beni in there rest of the season. thought he looked promising last season.

Why would RK not play them together? This is effectively still preseason for us and the fact that these games are competitive is a bonus as the players will feel pressure and be challenged. The team we played have already played 5 or so competitive matches so naturally they will be more match fit. The fact that they played two walls of 5, as someone previously mentioned, is always going to be tough to break down. These new lads have only been around 2weeks tops, give them a chance!

Nice one Ed, haven't seen any of Dolberg and hoping if we were to land Dembele that he'd cut it in the Premiership. Excited for the season ahead!
