Is there any interest in Patrik Schik, the striker from Sampdoria? He was set to go to Juventus but it appears the deal has collapsed. He would be a great signing if we could pull it off.

Lookman is starting for Leipzig tonight when they are playing to go second place yet he couldn’t get on the pitch for us.

He got subbed and they lost. FYI. If you are bothered at this news?

2.) 20 Feb 2018 11:45:18
How did he play Degsy? Must be tough getting used to a new league and culture. Wish him the best of luck.

3.) 20 Feb 2018 17:23:46
I dunno BJU. I seriously hope he does well and comes back and settles in with us. I did hear he was not settling in the North West and was struggling. He did score in his first game. both for us and Leipzig, so the kid obviously has talent. but he is still a little way off being a first team player in my view. and Sam Allergy's view more to the point. He is quick, skillful and has a good shot. But on the other hand, he loses possession often, passes poorly at times and loses heart very quickly. Not attributes you need when fighting relegation as we were a few games back. A loan spell is exactly what he needed. and I agree 100% with Sam A on this. a homenation club would have suited him better. If he struggles in Liverpool (where everyone makes you welcome) how will he do in darkest Germany. If he thinks its cold here. he will find it a few degrees colder there for sure! Minus 10C Forecast this weekend!

Hope he comes back with a little more experance, and a lot better attitude, has the ability to be a top player, but more listerning less of the know it all.

Does anybody know if the Mangala loan got completed in time?

It did.

Apparently Marhez put in a transfer request and isn’t in the squad tomorrow night’s match. It’s a huge let off if true; I couldn’t stand the thought of him running at Martina for 90 minutes.

It appears Lennon is off to Burnley. Good luck Aaron, you always gave 100% and played for the team. I’m glad he overcame his personal issues that some of us may face as well.

With Mirallas and now Lennon leaving, who else would you expect to leave in the window. I would personally try to move Besic, Schneiderlin, and Niasse perminantly and loan Sandro, Klassen, and one of either Lookman or Vlasic.

{Ed025's Note - not a bad shout that denver..

1.) 19 Jan 2018 19:19:46
I'd get rid of snids only if we bring in Nzonzie.

2.) 20 Jan 2018 00:16:27
I'd get rid of Schneids for me Nan's bus pass at least with that your guaranteed to travel forward.

Does anybody know how long it’ll be until Seamus is back in the first team squad? While Kenny has been a bright spot this season, he isn’t anywhere near the attacking threat Seamus is on his day.

Denver blue

{Ed002's Note - No, the club have not given a date.}}

No Rhapsody, 2013-2014 was supposed to be their year but they let it slip 😂.

I believe they're talking about Calvin-Lewin, Berkshire . Autocorrect changes it to Lewis.

My dream summer would be signing Olivier Baumann for gk, Harry McGuire and Either Romanogli or VVD for CB, Gylfi Sigurrdson or Klassen for CAM, either Malcom from Bordeaux, the Nigerian lad Henry Onykeuru, or Helder Costa for a winger, and both Kasper Dolberg and Sandro for strikers. This would show the world that we are an ambitious club who will be fighting for silverware and the top four.
Hopefully we can get 3 points and a goal for Ross and Rom in their potential last game at Goodison in the Everton blue. Coyb.

I don't take this as a sign that we don't have money to spend. Looking at the squad we definitely need a new number 1, at least one first 11 center back, a new number 10 regardless of wether Ross leaves, cover for our full backs, a new winger, and a new striker (2 if Rom leaves) . If we were to spend 35 mil on a couple of players then it will be difficult to make all of the squad upgrades Koeman will want. We have the right people leading the club and the future is bright. Onwards and upwards.

I watch the Bundesliga pretty frequently because of the tv deal they have here in the States. I would say that we are the German equivalent of Hamburg. Neither club has been relegated for over 50 years, both have a strong history, but their golden ages are at least 30 years ago, and neither club have been particularly good in the recent seasons.

{Ed002's Note - I think it is a reasonable comparison.}

I agree with you about Silva and Dyche Eddy, but I don’t know if they would leave right now. Marco Silva is my first choice, but I don’t see him leaving after 3 months. I also completely understand why people wouldn’t want Sam as our manager and under normal circumstances I totally agree, but as the saying goes “desperate times call for desperate measures”. I feel the defense is most important thing to fix because I can’t see any manager getting us scoring 2 to 3 goals a game with no number 9.

I would play a 4-3-3 tomorrow with one midfielder farther upfield than the other two.
Pickford
Kenny, Keane, Jags, Baines
Gueye, Klassen
Sigurdsson
Lookman, Sandro, Calvert Lewin

Bench: Stek, Davies, Williams, Mirallas, Vlasic, Niasse, Rooney

Front 3 all have pace and can interchange. We spent 45 mil on sigurdsson so we should actually play him in the right position. Hopefully Niasse can get a run out from the bench and take his opportunity.

I've been reading this page for years, and this may be the most negative post I've seen. While we haven't spent a lot of money in net transfers, we have drastically increased our wage bill.

We have signed quality players who greatly improve the squad. Sandro is an absolute steal at 5 mil and offers everything Rom doesn't (movement, link up play, and ball control) . We've signed two England internationals for the next several years in Pickford and Keane who are improvements on Robles and Jags. Wayne Rooney brings the winning pedigree to our squad that has been missing since the 80, and I believe he has more left in the tank than many give him credit for.

Henry Okenyoro ( spelling? ) has the potential to be a premier league star. Davy Klaassen is a born leader who knows where the back of the net is. While Martina isn't the most exciting signing, Koeman trusts him which is good enough for me.

There have been several transfer windows on the past where having a moan was more than understandable (summer of 2011 and summer of 2015 are two of the bigger ones for me) but this window is the polar opposite.
The blue revolution is fully in swing, and I for one can't wait for the season to start.

He would be a great replacement for Darron Gibson's spot on the training table.
