As a lifelong Evertonian I have followed the rumours and banter website for some time, wanting to know what fellow Evertonians felt about our great team. Until now I have always been satisfied with cursory browsing as to current opinions but have not been motivated enough to give my personal opinions. I now feel it is time to speak my mind.

For me last season was the lowest ebb in Everton's history and I felt that under the leadership of a certain Spanish lunatic the heart was being ripped out of our beloved club and I was deeply concerned that I would very soon become a supporter of a Championship club if RM were to stay in charge.
I am not going to attribute Messianic qualities to the arrival of RK but I do feel a potential saviour has been found and I hope and believe that he will carry us forward to great success in the future. My main point is that we should support everyone in our great team and not resort to knee jerk and unnecessary criticism of the team and certain individuals just 5 games into the season. I speak for all of my blue friends and relatives when I say that if I had been told towards the end of last season that we would be in second place in the league the next season then I would not have believed them (unless they were referring to the Championship of course) , such was the piteous state of our team at the time under RM.

Below are two quotes from Winston Churchill that are worth thinking about. I'm not a great fan of his but he was remarkably intelligent and, more importantly, very successful.
'Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts'

'Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm'

To all my fellow Blues, keep the faith, be loyal and we will succeed I am sure.
