I am finding it a pain that if we win it's " The pressure is off" bit then we lose and it's if we lose the next match then Silva is out. When it gets to this stage is there ever any comeback?

There is always a come back. It will just take a significant improvement in play, both attack and defence and a significant improvement in form and results. Won't be easy but it is still possible.

Unless it looks like we are going to be relegated, which it doesn't, I think he will get at least until the end of this season.

I think Marco needs to be given some slack.
Yes from the outside he isn't outwardly showing his personality or verve.
What us as fans need to take into consideration is he doesn't speak the best English, he is a young manager who is still learning and he is managing a club which has great history and with that comes real pressure. Pressure from the club, the fans and the media. Our recruitment for whatever reason has left the squad short on 2 critical positions, 3 if you include RB, 4 if you include JP. Add to that the loss of an experienced rock in midfield.
You have to wonder how we would be doing if we had signed Zouma, JP hadn't got his injury and we had signed say a Vardy who would have given us 20 goals. I think with the same manager we would have been top 6 easily.

He needs this second season to try and make it right. If he doesn't improve results then yes he will have to go. Sacking him with all the above taken into consideration wouldn't be fair in my opinion.

Marco gets slack from me when he finds a way to end the 'stop start mode, for a period that gains us solid team spirit and so enables an 'almost' unstoppable momentum .
As for sacking him, like I have said already only when the time is right.
Meantime we just wait and hope.

If we get this over the line in time we will have one serious forward line going into the season. I would rather we use what funds we have left for Zaha over getting Dacoure as it strengthens the right side which we are crying out for.

If we pulled of zaha deal what a front 3 we would richarlison, kean and all 3 interchangeable what a fluent and scarey attack we would have. But listening to skysports earlier hodgson said that zaha fee should match that of Maguire so I think they still demand a fee of 80 mil plus but hope I am wrong.

I think we can afford it if we want to so def not ruling it out, but like Ed02 said its essentially using future transfer budgets. I'd be happy for next year to be a quiet one in exchange for such a stonking one now!
One question though, if we get Doucoure do we still push for a CB? i'd have to assume Gbamin will be playing so wouldn't he be the CB we need?

WEFC Exactley. I read that his agent said if you think he is good DM wait until he plays CB. I see a pattern Gbamin - Ivory coast, Zaha IC, and Kean IC, although know plays for italy. They speak french I believe, with our french flanks and Brazilean frontline.
Reds fans giving the Everton Soares can't speak english so no point buying him, no he speaks portugese the same as our manager, may as well buy him 2. What a week this could be. The Giant has 1 eye open.

So with the money brought in and wages saved over the last few years how long are we going to be under scrutiny with FFP. I understand we have to spend within our means but we must be getting over the worst.

The lowering in wages has been negated by the lowering in revenue. Sponsorship money is down over the last couple of years.
We have some new deals now so should creep up again but still work to do on the wages front.
Ideally we should only have our top 2 or 3 players on around 80-100k. 10-12 on around 40-80k and the rest lower or some youth.
With our revenue we should have a squad on around 60-70million.
More commercial income, new stadium, mid table prize money, improve player sales and the odd forey in Europe.
Then we might just be sustainable.

Yep as stated by a few the fullback areas are abit of a concern, but can't fix all at once.

Can see McNeil being used as a LB or wingback as covered before and may be why we are trying to get another LW in.

Same with Garner at RB, both these 2 give us some versitily along with young to hopefully get through this season and address next summer if Patterson and Myko question marks are still there.
