On the new stadium, reading all the reports its rumoured that it will cost around £300 million. Then I read that the Oakland Raiders are moving to a new stadium in Las Vegas which will cost around $2 billion! Just wondering if we have any architects or financial whizz kids who can explain why there is such a difference, if both stadiums are to be 'State of the Art' and seat around 60,000 fans, Thanks.

Brace E

{Ed025's Note - las vegas is prime real estate brace it wont be the price of the build but the price of the land mate..

1.) 01 Apr 2017 10:25:31
Would also be to do with the build, land is really expensive there but then so is everything else labour materials etc etc and even if you ship in from elsewhere to save a buck or two on labour you still pay more than elsewhere due to transportation and accommodation. 💰💰
Plus in the US they love things to sound more expensive so exaggerate the cost here we like things to appear more affordable ☺.

The Guardian reporting land at mersey docks will cost around £30 million and a decision due in a couple of months. Any truth in it Eds? Thanks.

Brace E

{Ed025's Note - i heard it was £20m brace, there are negotiations going on mate with peel holdings but how far along those talks are im not sure..

1.) 10 Sep 2016 19:49:39
Not much more than Niasse then.

2.) 10 Sep 2016 20:26:00
That paper is full of trash.

3.) 10 Sep 2016 22:18:37
Are hoping they would take Niasse in part exchange Tedster?

4.) 11 Sep 2016 17:36:09
Whatever the outcome if their is one peel holdings are well known for their bargaining. the site won't come cheap people.

{Ed025's Note - it will if we can pay with a brown envelope john.. :)

On the proposed docklands site for the new stadium, I seem to remember that Sir Philip Carter had a role within Peel Holdings. Just wondering whether it is part of a legacy, as rumours seem to be building in that direction very rapidly and from nowhere. Any opinions Ed's? Thanks.

Brace E

{Ed025's Note - it would be nice to think so brace, but i feel if it was then it would have come to light before now, but it would certainly do no harm mate..

Wondering where ED002 has gone in our hour of need? Especially now, as we near the end of another season, what do us blues have to look forward to next season? We could do with his forthright views and insider knowledge as to whether Mr Moshiri is even looking for a new manager or DOF. Has he sought advice and prepared a shortlist, or, is it simply a case of 'As you were' for the season ahead. Thanks in advance.

Interested to know what Ed002 thinks of our New Manager and backroom staff. Did the club seek the right person to give the most professional advice? Or was it just a desperation move? Moshiri couldn't get either of his Portugese guys, so did we opt for the Steve Walsh choice? Thanks in advance.

Brace E

{Ed002's Note - The club did not take advice although there was someone who shared some views with Moshiri. SA and CS was routed in what Steve Walsh suggested and it is a positive move in that SA will work from a maangement perspective first of all and will look to get the players on side or they will be moved on - and SW can deal with the logistics of moving them on whilst also working with SA with a view to bringing in players to help the cause. Craig Shakespeare knows both SA and SW well and will work on coaching the players with Sammy Lee assisting. Obviously Lee spent much of his career at Liverpool but since Dalglish sacked him (before getting himself sacked over the Suarez affair) I don't know what his thoughts are about Liverpool. I know that a few folks have kicked up a fuss about Lee because he wears Super Stevie G brand pajamas to bed each night, but the fans should give him a break and let him get on with his job. This is not the person Moshiri wanted but I suspect Kenwright gave his support. The initial task is clear as you know, and I see no reason why SA cannot achieve that. After that it is a different matter.}

Well said ed, SA is a good choice for where we are and what was available.

no one seen how made up Sammy lee was when palace beat Liverpool, he is a dedicated coach and if he is as good as everyone says then we got a good catch.

How funny will it be if we beat Liverpool in the fa cup final with SL jumping round in celebration hahaha.

2.) 30 Nov 2017 17:36:59
Marvellous insight ed. Thanks. I am firmly sitting on the fence regards Sam. I'll support him and hope he does well because the club will be doing well. I worry that a lot of the fans will not have a lot of patience if we continue to struggle.

{Ed002's Note - man, I hope it works out. But through the holidays it would be neat to see the fans stant true behind him.}

Hi Eds just wondering how many of the numerous players, sent out on loan in January, could be back with us at the end of the season? Thanks.

Brace E

{Ed002's Note - They all will be.}

1.) 04 Feb 2017 14:34:15
I think he ment that the players out on loan, are the club looking to shift them on. Certainly players will leave us after the loan deal. Don't know if any are on a loan to buy deal.

Bolasie having knee surgery. Could be out for 9 to 12 months. Bad news blues.

As soon as I saw crutiate ligament I knew it was bad. I just hope he's still got his pace when he gets back because some players just aren't the same again after this one. Gutted.

2.) 06 Dec 2016 03:31:04
I'm particularly concerned about the effect of Bolasie's absence on Lukaku, as they're buddies off the pitch and YB is the key assist provider for RL on the pitch.

Just glad Stones isn't playing because he'd have been blamed for both goals.

At least Stoned and Barkley can come home with their reputations unblemished.

2.) 28 Jun 2016 11:13:02
wot exactly does wilshere do.

3.) 28 Jun 2016 15:40:30
He gives the ball away, takes up a place in the starting 11, blasts balls wide when shooting and then get injured?

i think that's just about everything the lad does.

{Ed025's Note - that just about sums it up greg..
