Morning Ed’s, who do we still have on our books who are no longer at the club (Rooney, Koeman, Allardyce etc) ?

How long until we are clear of them? Ilwill it take a season, two or even more?

Bluereason3

{Ed002's Note - We are no longer dealing with anything related to the finances on the Everton page.}

At what point do we start to worry Ed025?

4 hours to go and I’m still looking towards the horizon for a couple of tall, quick CB’s.

Bluereason3

{Ed025's Note - worry a 4-50pm mate..

1.) 09 Aug 2018 16:20:23
It’s getting closer to 4.50 Ed! Lol.

{Ed002's Note - It has been explained.}

2.) 09 Aug 2018 16:41:05
Where is Corporal Jones when you need him?

Where does everyone find out information / rumourson transfers?

My first port of call is always here then the BBC website. Guardian website has been pretty accurate in the past also.

I find sky sports, news now and echo very hit and miss (mainly miss) and I don’t trust twitter.

Would be interested in where everyone else trusts.

My last post got swamped by FFP comments by mistake (my fault) .

I’ll asked more directly: do you reckon we will bring in any more signings before the deadline or is our business more than likely done? If we are to bring people in, is it more likely loans, loan to buy or outright signing?

Bluereason3

1.) 03 Aug 2018 15:41:30
Bluereason3 it all depends over the next few days who goes and see how many signings can be made due to FFP. 🤣🤣🤣.

02 Aug 2018 18:26:26
With FFplay in place and the recent spending we’ve made, do you think we are still in the market for buying Ed or do you reckon it is more likely to be loans now?

Bluereason3

{Ed002's Note - Not a subject for discussion on the Everton page any longer.}

1.) 02 Aug 2018 20:10:58
For what it’s bluereason I think we will buy a couple more and maybe a couple of deadline day loans, will definitely be buying a cb and possibly a midfielder, would like to think we will get another attacking player aswell, but no one really knows who we are are after, not long to wait though 😀.

2.) 02 Aug 2018 20:16:44
Honest blue I love reading about ffp on here as personally I have no idea and it baffles me but trust me it's better looking at internet are trying to ignore it as all ways it drops into silly arguments and just ends up leaving a bad taste on the site I think it's something that with only a little bit of knowledge it gets twisted and is best to stay clear of financial discussions.

3.) 02 Aug 2018 20:56:10
To be fair the poster wasn’t really asking for a ffp discussion just an opinion on if we will buy or just loan.

4.) 02 Aug 2018 20:03:19
and why is that ed?

5.) 02 Aug 2018 20:13:33
Sorry ed2. But don't let one person stop you from giving us 'normal' bluenoses the information we crave.

{Ed002's Note - Not worth the grief,}

6.) 02 Aug 2018 23:39:05
In short Bluereason, you can’t spend more than you earn (you can go over by about 4 million quid) in a season. TV rights money mean English clubs have a lot more to spend than most clubs. Teams with bigger gate receipts increase their allowance to spend on transfers and wages etc.
Infrastructure is not included - do the new ground had no bearing on FFP for Everton. So, decreasing our wage bill was essential. Getting rid of Rooney, Mori, Williams, Klassen, Mirralis, Robles and a few more should help us bring a couple more in. Failure to adhere to FFP rules can be very serious. QPR just negotiated a huge pay off to FIFA. It can result in transfer bans, points deductions and even exclusion from competitions.

For large parts of that exchange I thought you were saying Citroen C1. That would have been a mammoth journey!

What would people think about getting someone like Fabien Delph in for short term cover? Would give us someone experienced for a few seasons until we get the right player for long term.

To his credit, dfs did alter his stance after Ed002's response.

The BK haters are beyond my comprehension.

Let's hope that when we sit round the negotiating table, we put out the finest biscuits and not the value range - must be the reason why we always seem to take so long.

Ed025, how are Everton perceived by other teams in the transfer market?

Do we have a reputation like Levy/ are we considered hard to deal with/ do clubs think we rip them off/ are we seen as fair to deal with?

(My thoughts are directed at why it sometimes seems to take so long to sort out long term targets and a couple of high profile dealings like this in media over the last few years)

Bluereason3

{Ed025's Note - since moshiri we are seen as a bit of a soft touch BR, they know hes prepared to back his managers and wont baulk at over inflated prices which is why we paid top dollar for some very average players last season, BK was seen as a levy type to deal with and teams knew where they stood with him and that everton looked for bargain basement signings, brands coming in will change a lot of that as he is well respected and savvy mate..

Let’s hope it starts with more sponsoring of facilities.

The USM Holdings conference rooms
The USM Holdings Liver Building
The USM Holdings lock up
The USM Holdings dock

The possibilities are endless!
