Hi Eds,
Just wondered if you think we may bring in a couple of defenders and maybe let jags or mori leave,
Also if no one is willing to pay the big money for lukaku will everton try and make him sign another contract so he can't be bought on the cheap next season.
{Ed025's Note - i think we will definitely bring in at least 1 defender heart, rom will not be signing any contract at everton though mate..

Knowing are defence has been poor and getting on in age, what players does anyone think we need to bring in, in the summer, I've gone from hope in the summer of breaking in to the top 4 to actually now thinking most of the team needs replacing, if you look at our defence Williams, jags, Baines need replacing, midfield is hit or miss, and up front is still out until a few more games.

It is impossible for virtually the whole squad to have a complete dip in form through the season . left back or no left back . its all about the management.

Don't worry about 7th Smit, we have no chance given the games he is likely to sacrifice in order to hit his relegation bonus, if we finish 4th from bottom he then says he justifies his bonus because he just about kept us up with his tactical masterstrokes.

Just wanted to say, even thou I'm not one to moan at our managers, but since moyes we really have brought in total rubbish, if we really want to move to the next level we need to find the manager who can get the best out of his players, at the moment we seem to have had managers who just seem to buy and they don't work out, look at the top clubs, they find players abroad and they fit in straight away, us on the other hand have spent over a 100 million and aparts from pickford the rest have struggled, surely this has to be down to the way we are playing, the players bought from other clubs in the premiership were good players and now are duds, and from abroad well not 1 player is playing, i just don't see it as it takes a season to adapt, I can understand them not playing there best, but still able to get into a team that are playing terrible and fighting relegation, from the top to the bottom of our club need a bloody good shake up, just because we have money doesn't mean we can throw money away like we are doing.

Expect to see more of last summer signings currently not playing, in the last few games when we are safe from any threat of relegation.

The bigger teams don't tend to buy 30 or 40 new players at a time Blue.
Also they are generally a more settled team already compared to us.
We had played so long to Lukakus strengths that we should have bought in a similar type of player to him, to keep us going. Then if we wanted to move away from that approach we could have adjusted over time and without all the confusion.
What we are trying to do now is ask the likes of Gana and Schneiderlin to get the ball and pass it through midfield, which they will never be able to do, they just aren't those types of players. We couldn't go down the wings as we had no full backs/ wingers. we can't go through the middle because of the above point. And we can't go over the top because we don't have anyone who can hold the ball up. Basically we don't have an effective way of getting the ball up the field.

I'm sorry but this is all Sam's fault tonight, winning team on Wednesday then 4 changes, sat back letting them take pot shots and as I'm writing this we are 3-0 down, if you don't offer an attack you are just letting them attack and attack until they score, poor poor poor.

At this point it doesn’t really matter whether it is the manager, the players or both who are to blame. The reality is that something is fundamentally wrong and these are the type of performances that lead to managers getting the sack as that is the only real change clubs can make quickly.
A huge half time team talk (and maybe 3 subs) and then a key second half ahead, not for any chance of a result, but just to try and stop the wheels coming off the Allardyce reign.
This is the worst half of football I have seen this season and the worst I have seen in many years. A second half just as bad could be really damaging for the weeks ahead.

How can any players get an understanding with each other if one week your playing then your out the next, you put a good performance in and then dropped, we are now going to take this into the next game so more negative football because there to scared to make a mistake,

Just like to say I'm happy with the 2 players we've bought in this window, but would like to no what Walsh is doing to earn his money, I mean it didn't take a brain surgeon to no we needed a striker and more pace in the attack, did he find any gems! No we have bought established players in there own league, wasn't hard to find, now I see we are linked to Mangalore, spelling, now is this really the work of Walsh or Sam, I could go to the top clubs look at the players who can't get into there team and ask to loan them, we are paying Walsh 1million a year, now if everton are willing I would do the job for a lot lot less, I will go around to all the top teams see the players who can't get games and come back to everton and say he's better than what we have in my opinion. Doesn't seem to me worth paying a million pounds a year.

Not long till the end of the window, don't think anyone else will be coming in on a permanent, only going on how long we have taken in the past getting things over the line, will be interesting to see if there might be any loans, I would like to see another striker and creative midfielder,

Don't understand why you get marked down Blue_heart for making a true statement. I do believe Everton are very high on the list of Clubs that do a quite laboured Medical, that could contribute a little to delay between supposed signing and announcement but not to the other stuff you mention. We are perhaps a cautious Club with signings which in my view is not a bad thing, however it did somehow go somewhat awry this last Summer Window.

As per usual, it doesn't matter how we buy or now loan, there's always a problem, why can't we look at the bigger picture, he's a French international big strong and quick, with a left foot, now if he was that bad city would of got rid of him soon as he walked threw the door, he has something, so hopefully our style will suit him better than city's style.

I thought kean was very good in the beginning, I think keoman tried to make him into a ball playing centre half, he's a ball winner not a ball player, he's looks like he's stuck in the middle on what to do now, plus injuries haven't helped, given games and put holgate next to him I think they are the way forward.

But I don't see it all being the players even thou some of them have been very poor along with players not adapting, but the likes of Rooney, sigy, snids gueue all good players in there own right, but there not in any case playing to there potential, is this the players or the way we are playing, I think it's a mix of both, plus not one player can say if there going to be in the team because it's changed so often, no team can Settle and get an understanding playing one week then on the bench for 2 games.

I think we all know some players aren't up to it, problem we have is we couldn't buy a new team, as for the new players aparts from 2 have been very disappointing, cenk I won't comment on as he's only just got here, but what is the most disappointing is the fact we have bought so many players that haven't fitted in, now that has to be down to the manager or Walsh, now all we can do is get on with it and hope we can survive relegation, a lot of people saying one more win and we are safe, but after losing 5_1 this isn't going to be easy, with the way we keep changing the team every week, holgate has been one of our better defenders, but has an off day and out if the team for players who are having off days every week, I just don't understand the managers thinking, we have exciting players so play to there strengths and we will be fine, stop trying to play a defensive style with players who haven't got a clue on how to play it.

Let's be honest morish only wanted him to get us clear of relegation but Sam would take the bait of a year contract and wanted 18months, we all no in the summer Sam will be moved on, yes he will get his bonus and a pay off, this was Sam's plan, let's hope managers are available for next season, if I was the everton board I would get Silva signed ready to step in, what I've read about the bloke he's very very highly thought of, he was going places with Watford and we ruined it, he wanted to come to us Watford wouldn't let him, I think he can deliver everything we need over the next few years.

I don't understand what the problem is, he's not ready, it's not just Sam who didn't play him, when he has played most of the time he's a 2 minute wonder then none exsistant, give him some football and hope he comes back with something to prove.
