Wilfred Bony? hahahaha someone sack that journo.

1.) 13 Jul 2017 20:05:00
Before you laugh and joke. Didn't I hear or read or something about someone saying we signing someone who previously hasn't been linked.

2.) 13 Jul 2017 20:27:01
That was Benteke.

3.) 14 Jul 2017 05:55:38
we had a chance to take bony last year koeman said no and despite being linked with him so much that ron actually came out and said no we are not after him that it begs belief that we now yet again are being linked i have no doubt this is his agent drumming up interest in the player and an obviously lazy journo who doesn't know his history. no means no.

So much negativity and unrealistic expectations. Its actually embarrassing to read some of it. People should get a grip on things and stop making themselves look like morons.

You do know that Man City were bought near 10 years ago and with untold millions spent, have won the title a grand total of. ONCE! and that was all down to a crazy last 2 minutes where other results counted. They also have been atrocious in most of their Champions league campaigns.

We have not attracted the striker we desperately need. We have been bedding in so many players, too many to be advisable in one go. That only an idiot wouldn't give the club massive credit. Not only have we won 4 drawn 2 after an early start to our season.
We have controlled games (at least tried to and its clearly going to be a "trait" of our style in the coming years) playing kids and new faces. We needed Europa qualification last night. The pressure on that game was immense. Playing a team that has not lost a euro tie at home in 8 games? impressive and worthy of respect.

I know this is a "banter" page and I get nothing has to be factual necessarily but it makes for a hard read. Some people should note that when Blackburn threw money at it (the first club to do so) it took them 3 years to win the league. Then Chelski threw mind boggling money at it and won the league in 2 years. Now all the top 6 clubs in the prem are mega rich and spend so much money on their squads that we will be hard pressed to close the gap. Our money man only owns 50% (not complaining) and he is great! but he isn't doing a Abramovic or a Mansour because as City have proven. spending over a Billion £s only seems to buy you 1 title. yes 1! Get real and get some perspective please before you make some glib comment about how we are still rubbish and last night we were lucky this or lucky that. Get on the flight and enjoy the ride. If we get 6th this year that would be remarkable.

Koeman has played a blinder so far. I think I will follow him over some bloke called "Evertonblahblahblah" calling out Besic for being rubbish last night. When we can start to spend £200 mil on mediocre defenders (City) then and only then can we all start talking like idiots.

Not sure about the level of aggression inur post. however a great assessment and my sentiments exactly with respect to our progression and performances to date. just remember footy fans think with their heart first and head second a lot of the time. so cut the 'idiots' a little slack and breathe. great post though.

2.) 25 Aug 2017 12:32:26
When you read entry after entry of waffle, it gets a bit much JCL. I appreciate your advise though.

3.) 25 Aug 2017 12:37:36
JCL I also have to say that i'd replace "aggression" with "frustrated"

4.) 25 Aug 2017 12:50:36
I agree with JCL. It's a good post Blue, but you need to bring it down a notch mate. Remember these are opinions so there will always be points of view. Agree with them or not, try to embrace the banter mate.

5.) 25 Aug 2017 13:04:55
I hear u with frustration blue. still a great post matey. I'm chilled in gran canaria at moment so it's easy to be relaxed matey. gimmee two weeks back home I'm sure I won't be as laid back.

6.) 25 Aug 2017 13:32:23
difference there at man city is that they were over shadowed by another club in their city. We don't have this issue which is why we have been attracting all the top players.

7.) 25 Aug 2017 14:23:37

8.) 25 Aug 2017 15:00:03
the only thing i disagree with is where you say it will be tough to catch the top 6 Liverpool spurs and Arsenal haven't really strengthened whereas we have plus those 3 teams all have their best players looking to move on I really do feel that with a bit of luck we can not only get top 6 but push for top four.

9.) 25 Aug 2017 18:36:02
Cheers lads. the day got better ;) Still re-reading I mostly still hold a view that some posts should be given a bit more thought? Anyway: enjoy the sun JCL and I won't argue with a word of that Blue79 ;) . Fair enough ToffeeAce ;) point taken. and thanks for the laugh The big-ev ;) COYB. let's remember this is a journey and it will have ups and downs.

10.) 25 Aug 2017 18:54:12
Nice one Blue76.

24 Aug 2017 21:31:10
Fantastic to see Lennon back in the shirt. Good for him. Brilliant to see Besic getting a start too. Both goals have been scorchers. 45 million. keep the change. :)
Guess once we qualify: the striker situation will be easier? surely players of the calibre we need will only sign once we have european footy? COYB.

19 Aug 2017 13:35:31
Why have I changed my mind today that we have a real chance of making a deal for Costa? I usually shy away from the delusional statements. The more I think about it, the more I think its a winner for all concerned.

He can't sit out a World Cup year can he? Athletico can't sign him and won't be able to afford him until he is a free agent. Chelsea have to get him out ASAP for the good of the team. We would be able to pay him, play him and give him incentive to want to go to the world cup and we would surely be a favourite then for top 4!

Im off to watch the local flying pigs display team in a bit.

1.) 19 Aug 2017 15:57:09
Can't see him sitting out Blue as it is probably his last world cup at 28. I can't also see us getting him and not sure I would want his attitude.

2.) 19 Aug 2017 21:13:42
As other people have said the photos of him on holiday show he's about the same size as Van Der Meyde was when we signed him. It would practically be January before he could play half an hour.

3.) 19 Aug 2017 21:55:30
I would like to hope EFC are better than that. Costa has no place being supported by fans at any club. He is a total disgrace.
I would like Gibson or Sacko as centre half and benteke please.

Sell Lennon McCarthy naisse and besic -

FYI - just been to Sunderland match - Galloway not even good enough for championship. Browning not good enough. Vaughan was rubbish and kone no good. Have to say Mcgeedy was good but he is at his level.

Benteke and sacko please xx.

4.) 20 Aug 2017 09:52:20
He will sign in January for atletico. We will have sign another striker then in the hardest window to buy. Let's think long term.

5.) 20 Aug 2017 10:03:37
Costa should take a leaf out of Mahrez's book. He apparently wants the move to Roma but still puts in a shift each week rather than ruling himself out of games because of transfer talk.

6.) 20 Aug 2017 10:13:10
Signing Costa just is not going to happen and nor should we even want it to!

Completely the wrong player for EFC. Wrong attitude, he's not fit and he's a bad, bad apple.

Why is everyone so hell bent on us signing a striker btw? Sandro hasn't even played a full game yet and Rooney is a little short of sharpness, so will just get better and better. DCL is also worthy of a chance up top, given his performances in the WC and the minutes he's got in this season.

Have faith!

7.) 20 Aug 2017 12:06:35
We need another Pierre for squad depth.

8.) 20 Aug 2017 13:36:04
Fair enough except Costa didn't want to leave, he was asked not to come back. So to compare him with Mahrez is a little odd.

9.) 20 Aug 2017 13:57:34
Compare him to Niasse, told he was not wanted and not even given a locker and he has kept his mouth shut got his head down and got on with it.

So how carefully do we have to follow that? I mean: PSG I read are about to throw another E200 mil euros which with Neymar and other signings is in excess of 400 mil euros. So FFP what? how?

You should probably study his career history and realise he was always liable to a bunch of bookings and a suspension most seasons. It was his game to break it up anyway he could. Being slower only made the fouls a bit more obvious ;) Good luck Gareth Barry, I wasnt keen but I remember a Villa fan saying that only fans who see him week in week out, get what he was all about. Now go and smash Giggs and put that yellow card record out of sight.

Are "we" meant to be able to read that Floats?
Think you need to get down A&E and get those angry stumps dressed.

A few, . always make it easier to read. I gave up after 2 lines. Let the anger subside and try again?

Get rid and get over it. The lad is a div but he clearly knows what he wants. He wants Spurs. Why the hell should he sign for another club? I actually respect him for walking from Chelsea and stating the club are trying to force that move on him. As a club we probably could have handled the "kidology" Koeman tried a little better? The club have dropped the ball on this one.

Ross wants a move, he is clearly prepared to stay in an uncomfortable situation as he knows what he wants. (The opposite of the impression the fans have) Fair play to him. He wants the right move regardless of "world cup year" not that he is anywhere near the England squad at the moment.
If he goes and sits on the bench, why should you care? The same "voices" that were going nuts about the Sigurdsson money, are the ones going mental that the Barkley fee is going to be tiny now. Moon on a stick.

Early targets missed either never available or didn't want to come. Time ran out but I think the club would have known what they need but were not going to waste money on a sub par player just because.
Yes negative posts get on my nerves sometimes but I agree with you. I think we are crying out for a striker. So now we have to play CL more than would be advisable. Hope the gamble pays off and come Jan window, we are in a strong league position and still in the Europa. We need to get the club in the shop window.
Next summer is the one that will show our backers true ambitions.

I hate it when football Chairmen and Managers and Scouts do their job in the summer transfer window. we need some bloke on a chat room to get involved and show em what's what! 15 players signed with 36 hours to go and I am still really unhappy! This club is a joke! Its ridiculous and what's more, this stadium will be 3 or 4 years away! Totally unacceptable to buy my club and spend a fortune on it. gone are the days when we can just go out and buy a Thomas Radzinski for a few old buttons and a good feed at Bills place.
