Wondering why we don't throw a bid in for Rashford. Getting no game time at OT. Jose doesn't seem too keen on him.

Good mate of mine spoke with respected local radio personality (ex player) over the weekend - who said that the club expect to make significant signing this week. No names given - but with Euros still ongoing not sure who could be.
{Ed025's Note - the euro,s are a hindrance BB4 but deals can still be set up without the actual player being the big cheese, but then again this player may not even be european so we will have to wait and see mate..

We are surrounded by roumours and hype. the next Everton manager will want the gig or want the pay. so. he is to step up . want to work in the premiership. be the next loser. right?

Johnfolk you are baffling me as to what point you are trying to make!
Once Mourinho went to Manchester United we are the next biggest news worthy team searching for a manager so we were bound to have loads of rumours.
Yes some of those managers just want the money or just want to use us as a platform for what in their minds are bigger and better things but that is the way things go, there are no certainties in life. That's why Koeman is considering us as we are the "next level" in his eyes and there aren't many teams that can out muscle us financially now.
Personally I am torn as to who I want as coach but one thing I do know is I like the SD and Coach set up so let's just see how things play out.

When the "Rom isn't signing his contact" story broke. Moshiri issued a statement telling all blues not to worry. At the time I felt quite confident it'll all be sorted in our favour.
I may have missed it, but I haven't seen any further statements from Moshiri. But with most media outlets believing it's now a done deal it'll be interesting to read his next statement on the whole affair.

With so many good moments from yesterday, its hard to pick a favourite - but, have to say one of the most enjoyable was seeing Coleman fired up and taking on Stones on in a foot race down the line in front of the Bullens Road stand. so committed and determined.

Disappointed like everyone else to go out at this stage of the Cup, but we all need to take a breath before the knee-jerk reaction of demanding signings now. cannot believe that RK is upset that Walsh hasn't delivered in this Transfer Window yet when it was only 7/ 8 days old!
In all likelyhood 7th is best we can hope for in the league - it may/ may not get Europa Lgue footy for next year. so blowing a load of dough right now might be unwise (remember the "get Niasse in" posts 12 months back) . not many top players available in January - none of the players being linked excite me tbh. there will be many more squad players from the very top teams available in the summer. but to lump money on good/ average players this month isn't the way to go IMO.
All the teams who win anyhting have a top keeper. that should be our priority (prob in summer) maybe later in the month if the RS see off the Saints in Lgue Cup a massive Forster may have better chance.

Got to laugh at all the "that'll teach him" posts. Are you all 12 yrs old?
You're reacting like you've caught your wife with the milkman.
The reason that he's been over taken for the golden boot is that he's not as good as he thinks and doesn't put a shift in. He's along way behind Kane (who missed 6/ 8 games through injury too) - however he's still second on the list and we would have to spend serious money to find a 24 goal player to replace him. so in the meantime he's our player an I'll support him and all the other lads til they do or don't move on.
Our biggest problem this summer IMO is that Rom won't be any of the top top clubs first pick. If Utd don't get Griezman. If Arsenal lose Sanchez. If Costa goes and they don't get Sanchez. If Bayern lose Lewandowski. Etc. They will be panicked into paying over the odds for Rom. So my feeling is no quick resolution. We are most likely to face another long summer of anxiety. Hope I'm wrong.

A keeper should be our priority. All the top teams have a great keeper - break the bank for Forster.

Not sure what you are basing that view on Mushy. I hope you are right - but I was there yesterday and saw some of the old failings. We were lucky not to concede 2/ 3 tbh. But this is only pre season. Long way to go yet. Get Rom back in and a couple of significant signings and we make make an impression this season.
