I haven't posted in here for a while. Mainly because i'm enjoying the ride. We are definitely improving both on and of the pitch and for the 1st time in a long time i'm so relaxed during a transfer window.

Just wanted to ask the eds if we still have any interest in ghazzel, brahimi or dolberg. Personally i think any1 of them would be a quality signing.

Anomblue

{Ed002's Note - (a) Rachid Ghezzal most certainly remains of interest with Atletico and a couple of other sodes looking for a pre-contract. Lyon has offered a new deal but they think he will wait on any other offers that might be coming for the summer - perhaps something firm from an Arsenal is in his mind. (b) Brahimi was priced out of a move in the Summer and only Nice have asked recently about him. Again, I suspect he is waiting for an acceptable bid from an English Champions League side or one of a handful of Champions League sides from other countries - probably won't be available this month. (c) Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have a declared interest in Ajax's Kasper Dolberg who has also been watched by Manchester United, Rangers, Everton, Sunderland and others. The issue is that it would be too bigger jump to the first team (and perhaps even the first team squad) of the likes of the Manchester clubs or Chelsea so he should bide his time until he is ready, or make a smaller managable step up - and that could potentially go horribly wrong.}

Thanks ed appreciate the insight pal.

{Ed002's Note - You are very welcome.}

3 players I've seen linked to us lately seem to be rooney brahimi and strootman. Eds do you know if any of these are of any interest or just rag talk. i'd be happy with them. Would provide much needed quality in depth come afcon. expecially strootman. If that guy stays fit he'd be immense.

Anomblue

{Ed025's Note - they are being linked because we have money to spend and january is just around the corner Anom, there are no heavy links to either of those at the moment mate but i would be very happy if that changed of course..

1.) 31 Oct 2016 20:36:50
Thx e.

Not transfer related as such. But today feels like xmas eve when i was a kid. So looking forward to tomorrow. I think after moshiris comment "Watch this space" means we are going to bring someone special in tomorrow. Maybe 2 who knows. either way i'm excited.

Anomblue

{Ed025's Note - i think we all are anom...or should be mate..

1.) 30 Aug 2016 17:20:36
Im exited too but can't see any movement happening tbh all our targets either staying with yhere clubs or going to another team.

{Ed025's Note - have faith mate..moshiri will be trying his best and thats good enough for me..

21 Aug 2016 09:04:24
The same names keep being brought up in the media. The likes of hart and ghazzel. Not that i believe what i read and take it all with a pinch of salt until a new player is officially announced. However i haven't seen any strikers linked recently. Just wondering if you know of interest in any ed. Rolons name was mentioned a while back but even that's gone quiet.

Anomblue

{Ed002's Note - Everton have been speaking to Bordeaux about Diego Rolan but were unable to agree a price which was acceptable to both parties leaving Schalke to work on trying to get a transfer completed.

Napoli's Manolo Gabbiadini has attracted firm offers from Schalke, West Ham, Sevilla and Valencia according to the club. Southampton, Everton, Swansea, Bologne, Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Crystal Palace and Spurs have all expressed an interest but have not approached Napoli with and offer. Napoli are keen to resolve his future but that might well depend on the future of others at the club and a player they are talking about trying to bring in. And having lost out on Jese they may look to a new contract with Gabbiadini.

Utrecht's Sebastien Haller has been playing well this season and yearns for a move to Ajax in the summer - and Ajax would be interested if Milik were to leave and if their offer is not dwarfed by another side. Inter, Marseille, Spurs, Brighton, Everton, Sunderland, Rennes, Monaco and Borussia Monchengladbach are just some of the clubs who have been attending Utrecht games to watch him this past season. A move in the summer will happen - to where is unclear, but it won't be to Beijing Guoan, Aston Villa or Norwich. Newcastle will try and sell their "project" to the player and Everton could yet look to him to replace Naisse. Don't discount interest from Crystal Palace, who are still looking for another striker, or Lille.}

Thx for the info ed.

Ed do you know if we have any interest in tello? Think he'd be decent signing to compete on the left.

Anomblue

{Ed001's Note - I don't sorry, not heard of any interest from Everton.}

1.) 11 Jul 2016 15:02:40
Thx ed.

Am i one of the few not concerned at all about incoming/ outgoing trfs in the upcoming window? .
I have full faith in rk sw and fm to deliver what they have been promising and that's a stronger squad.
So i for one shall reserve any judgement until the window closes.

Anomblue

{Ed025's Note - i have faith in them as well anom, but you cant stop people being sceptical because some of our dealings in the past have dragged on a bit mate..

1.) 06 Jun 2017 19:31:21
they will have a list of players they want but as we can't actually sign anyone til July 2nd we have plenty of time to make sure they deserve to play for us.

2.) 06 Jun 2017 19:44:17
True ed but there's being sceptical and being irrational. Window hasn't even opened yet, and some are getting a little upset already.

{Ed025's Note - your right mate..

20 Apr 2017 21:02:43
An ideal transfer window for me would be to keep all our best players.

Add to that some young exceptional talent which would be low risk signings as they at worst would have large sell on fees and at best become stars for us. With that in mind 4 players i like are dolberg tielmans engels pickford. All 4 are young with bags of potential.

For a little experience i'd also like either rooney or sigurdson.

Just to finish off i'd also go for ghazzel and kolasinac on a free.

Now i know some of them are unlikely and not even sure if we hold any interest in any of them but that would be my dream trf window

What i am sure of tho is its a great time to be a blue.

Anomblue

{Ed025's Note - im really looking forward to the next transfer window anom, as you say its a great time to be a blue and i can see us doing a bit of damage next season, just watching tielmans against united and hes been very impressive mate..

1.) 20 Apr 2017 22:23:59
Agree with you Ed. this Tielmans looks a right player! Hopefully we are in for him, tough to get in our team in his position but I'd love him there as competition! Some player him!

{Ed025's Note - yeah hes quality jimbob and would be a great addition mate..

2.) 21 Apr 2017 09:02:04
This is Everton lads. Always optimistic just before the transfer window opens and then we wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait, then comes the announcement, someone we have never heard of and missed out on main targets because we waited and waited and waited and waited. ;-)

Ive been one of lukakas biggest supporters since he joined us. Last night tho I've completely changed my mind. Yes he's good and scores a load of goals. But to disrespect williams like he did was out of order. It wasnt only williams that was frustrated with lukaka. Baines had a go at him aswell which is unlike bainesy.
For me the best thing the club can do is sell him this summer before things spirral out of control. Last thing the club needs is a split dressing room. Might just be me reading into what I saw last night a bit too much but somethings not right between some players and nobody is bigger than the club.
Can lukaka be replaced? I believe he can and will be.

1.) 05 Apr 2017 18:54:47
I'm tending to agree Anom. I like Rom as a guy, (thinking about the way he was with the lady who was hit by his volley at Soton last season and the way he is with young Bradley) but he is so lazy at closing down and tracking back! Last night he was pointing to where he wanted other players to do this but not bothering himself. He only wants to run when he has the ball. I wish he'd take a look at Paulo Dybala and Mario Manduzic at Juventus - they never stop working for the team. Sad to say this, but if we got over £65m I'd wave goodbye, but still wish him all the best.

02 Apr 2017 13:57:09
The worst thing about losing is all the boo boys come out.

Anomblue

{Ed025's Note - it was poor anom but its only one game and we still have a lot to play for mate..

1.) 02 Apr 2017 14:54:36
We were poor but it was one loss. Not many teams win at anfield.
One thing that is really apparent is all the top 4/ 5 teams have a couple of players who can take the game by the scruff of the neck and produce something brilliant even when the team is having an off day.

Couthino, mane, Silva, debruyne, ibrahimovich, Rooney, hazard, Sanchez can all do this. Unfortunately as good as we are as a team we do not have anyone who can do that. Maybe Davies or lookman in the future but Barkley and lukaku do not have those qualities.

That is why the top teams get wins when maybe they shouldnt, take the derby at Goodison as a prime example, should have been a draw but for a piece of brilliance. Until we have 1 or 2 players like that we will always drop a certain amount of points a season, points which are needed to break into that top 4.

2.) 03 Apr 2017 10:45:02
I haven't really seen many boo boys to be honest just disappointed fans as we had a really good chance to end our curse, but always said this was a transition season and we are exceeding where I thought we would be and up until sat we had a long shot at 4th which for his 1st season is fantastic progress.

another big game Tuesday night. hoping the boys have something to prove and we can get a result at a very tough away ground.

3.) 03 Apr 2017 17:27:18
Funny, even after decent runs we are always poor after international break!

{Ed025's Note - we certainly are when half of our squad come back injured wakka..

4.) 03 Apr 2017 17:35:17
Don't forget the splinters in Ross's arse!

{Ed025's Note - its his brain that was the worry on saturday wakka. :)

5.) 03 Apr 2017 17:39:40
Agree with that, not exactly sure what he was thinking or if indeed he was, lucky to stay on the pitch!
There were times I was worried it could turn into another Chelsea hiding, and felt for the young lads out there!

{Ed025's Note - not an easy one for the kids wakka and for me not the game to throw them in, but ronnie obviously had a different perspective and im sure he knows the game better than me mate..

6.) 04 Apr 2017 17:09:01
Sometimes Ed025 I don't understand the logic, huge derby can break some kids confidence when they have a bad one, Pennington was exposed and shown he is not ready for this level, others seem to adapt, I didn't think Holgate was great but coped much better and if we had another right back then he would most likely have been the third centre back.

{Ed025's Note - it was a strange one for me as well wakka, i felt sorry for young pennington that was too big a game for the lad at this stage imo mate..

Just for fun. I think rom and Ross will both still be here next season. If they do go tho who would you like us to replace them with?

Rom would still command a massive trf fee. Possibly enough to sign 2 new strikers, for me i'd like dolberg and dembele

Ross again would command a large trf fee. Enough to bring tielmans in with money left over.

For me tho best scenario is both stay with us for another year at least.

Im still hopefull that he will join us. that's if we are actually after him. He would be excellent cover for baines plus he can play left mid so he's versatile.

Pickford forster or butland would be my choice. Although there's probably a lot of unheard of quality keepers abroad.

Be gutted if he leaves. However, our recent transfers have been really good so i'm sure rk and walsh have already planned for life without him.

Id take him in a heartbeat. Given a run of games and a little confidence he would be a massive improvement for our starting 11.

Irregardless it makes much better reading than the 6 monthly speech of how he's actively looking for another club.
Maybe raiola has bought into the future of everton which is a good thing for us.

Anomblue

{Ed025's Note - i hope so too anom..

I don't get caught up in how much players cost. The question i ask myself is will gylfi make us stronger. Simple answer is without a doubt.

Ed is right lads. If ross and rom go so be it. let's be honest, without them we wouldn't be playing in Europe. So let's thank them wish them well and move on with the considerable amount of cash they are going to leave for.

Im not worried at all. To be honest hopefully they will both go at the end of the season. i'm fed up of the circus its turned into.

Besides if rom goes we could potentially sign 2 good strikers to replace him. i'd love lacazette but that's unrealistic.
Barkley goes then he can easily be replaced. i'd love sigurdson and tielmans.
Lose 2 gain 4. Squad be stronger and deeper for it. Like people have already mentioned. Instead of us throwing all our eggs into 1 basket (lukaka) maybe the goals can be spread out a little.
