3 players I've seen linked to us lately seem to be rooney brahimi and strootman. Eds do you know if any of these are of any interest or just rag talk. i'd be happy with them. Would provide much needed quality in depth come afcon. expecially strootman. If that guy stays fit he'd be immense.

{Ed025's Note - they are being linked because we have money to spend and january is just around the corner Anom, there are no heavy links to either of those at the moment mate but i would be very happy if that changed of course..

Thx e.

Not transfer related as such. But today feels like xmas eve when i was a kid. So looking forward to tomorrow. I think after moshiris comment "Watch this space" means we are going to bring someone special in tomorrow. Maybe 2 who knows. either way i'm excited.

{Ed025's Note - i think we all are anom...or should be mate..

1.) 30 Aug 2016 17:20:36
Im exited too but can't see any movement happening tbh all our targets either staying with yhere clubs or going to another team.

{Ed025's Note - have faith mate..moshiri will be trying his best and thats good enough for me..

The same names keep being brought up in the media. The likes of hart and ghazzel. Not that i believe what i read and take it all with a pinch of salt until a new player is officially announced. However i haven't seen any strikers linked recently. Just wondering if you know of interest in any ed. Rolons name was mentioned a while back but even that's gone quiet.

{Ed002's Note - Everton have been speaking to Bordeaux about Diego Rolan but were unable to agree a price which was acceptable to both parties leaving Schalke to work on trying to get a transfer completed.

Napoli's Manolo Gabbiadini has attracted firm offers from Schalke, West Ham, Sevilla and Valencia according to the club. Southampton, Everton, Swansea, Bologne, Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Crystal Palace and Spurs have all expressed an interest but have not approached Napoli with and offer. Napoli are keen to resolve his future but that might well depend on the future of others at the club and a player they are talking about trying to bring in. And having lost out on Jese they may look to a new contract with Gabbiadini.

Utrecht's Sebastien Haller has been playing well this season and yearns for a move to Ajax in the summer - and Ajax would be interested if Milik were to leave and if their offer is not dwarfed by another side. Inter, Marseille, Spurs, Brighton, Everton, Sunderland, Rennes, Monaco and Borussia Monchengladbach are just some of the clubs who have been attending Utrecht games to watch him this past season. A move in the summer will happen - to where is unclear, but it won't be to Beijing Guoan, Aston Villa or Norwich. Newcastle will try and sell their "project" to the player and Everton could yet look to him to replace Naisse. Don't discount interest from Crystal Palace, who are still looking for another striker, or Lille.}

Thx for the info ed.

11 Jul 2016 08:58:26
Ed do you know if we have any interest in tello? Think he'd be decent signing to compete on the left.

{Ed001's Note - I don't sorry, not heard of any interest from Everton.}

1.) 11 Jul 2016 15:02:40
Thx ed.

30 Jun 2016 15:45:02
I don't normally get sucked into paper rumours but please tell me ed there's something in the kovacic from real madrid rumour.

{Ed002's Note - He is available but I know nothing of interest from Everton and very much doubt he would be open to such a move.}

1.) 30 Jun 2016 19:13:12
Thx ed i kinda thought that myself guess i was hopefull than being realistic.

Realistically lads how many players do you think we will sign in jan. Imo it will be 2 maybe 3 at most to go into the 1st team and maybe 1 or 2 young players for the future.

This is purely hypothetical and possibly wishfull thinking but if we did sign 3 players what position and who would you like it to be.

My 3 would be.

A cb. i'd be elated with the dutch lad from saints or sule.

A striker. i'd be happy with dolberg or dembele from celtic.

A cm. This is unrealistic but i'd love us to sign isco. A more realistic target would be sigurdson but that will not happen in jan either.

2 younger players i'd go for would be lookman and pickford. However these 2 will not be cheap either.

28 Nov 2016 16:55:12
Ill probably get slated a little but imo i think we need to change our system. Playing 2 holding mids is not working and leaves lukaka/ barkley isolated and too much to do.

Surely its worth trying a 442 system giving lukaka a little help up front and our midfielders more options/ targets up front. i'd like ro see a team sheet something similar to

Gk robles
Lb baines
Cb williams
Cb holgate
Rb coleman
Lw bolaisse (spelling)
Cm barkley/ davies
Cm barry/ gueye
Rw delefuo (spelling)
St lukaka
St dowell/ calvert lewin

Ive gone for a mix of youth and experience. I think that blooding young hungry players might drag us out of the poor form were currently in.

If our younger players can't step up then they need to be moved on with the rest of our players that can no longer keep up. But they need to be goven a chance to prove themselves 1st.

{Ed025's Note - we need to change something anom..i would start with half of the playing staff especially those who dont cherish the shirt or what it means to be a part of this club mate..

19 Nov 2016 18:48:35
Well that game knocked the stuffing out of me. don't know what to say that others haven't already except i think were crying out to give some of the youngsters a crack. Holgate davies etc. We need that hunger and energy and hopefully a bit of youthful enthusiasm will rub off on the others.

{Ed025's Note - we need quality for me anom, barry can bring some but our midfield is so negative mate...bring on that bleeding window..

Just watched the rk interview with gl. I was landed when we signed him and after that i'm 100% sure he's the right man for us. Good times are coming.

1.) 17 Nov 2016 21:08:32
Ditto, GuernseyBlue.

31 Aug 2016 22:44:14
Seriously. what's with all the negativity. we have already strengthened our team. Were 4th in the league and undefeated. We already look much improved compared to last season. Yes its early days but were at the right end of the table after 3 games.
The players we tried to sign are of a much higher calibre than previous windows. Rk and walsh have had very little time to prepare for this window.
I just don't understand the mentality of some fans that throw their toys out of the pram because we didn't blow cash on players we didn't want to keep the fans happy.

Woodsey with all due respect pal maybe that's why barkley geri have been dropped. Not like we can drop lukaka or he would more than likely be benched aswell.
Maybe i'm wrong and just imagined all season that rk wants players to play with more energy and press from the front.
My point being that a lot of players are not for whatever reason doing it.

The pressing game that they are trying to play instead of the slow tippy tappy football we've had last few seasons.

Id say he knows the team better than we think already. Its the inconsistent performances from individual players that let's us down. let's be honest there's a lot of them that are under performing.

Wether they are finding it difficult to adopt to a higher tempo game or just are not capable of doing so i think rk patience will soon run out and the transfer windows will be used to find players more suited to his style/ tactics.

Levy is too tight to take a big hit on him. Maybe a loan with an option to buy might suit us. Although i'd rather sign someone else instead.

Im split on depay. He hasn't done much at united but i still think he's an upgrade on what we have already. Given a run of games i think he'd turn out to be a good addition. Not seen much of ruddy but reading up on him he sounds like another good addition. Another 2 players i'd like to see us sign aswell is sule he's a monster and dolberg. He looks quality.

Im not letting myself get carried away. Must admit its hard tho. Do i think we will be stronger not just after this window but i expect us to be stronger after every window. The future is definately bright but i think it may take another year or 2 before we become serious top 4/ 6 potential.

Rags say he's got a verbal agreement with wolfsberg.

True nbtb. Plus to be fair a lot of the banter will come from what the rags print as its a focus point for banter.

On a plus note that was a much better performance today. If we had played like that for the last few games we would have more points now. let's just hope they keep it up and improve on it.

The problem is we need signings in jan to try and stay in touch with the europe spots. Otherwise we will end up mid table and come summer will be just as difficult to sign.

If we sign a few in jan and finish the season close to top 6 then it might prove a little easier to recruit in the summer. But i don't know the ins and outs of the transfer issues and my opinion may be well off the mark.

I think it would be. he's a proven premier league player and would walk into our starting 11.
