Hi Ed, you seen Lukaku's interview in which he says his contract decision has been made whilst smiling? Do you think it could be an even better week for us blues?

{Ed025's Note - i have not see much news as i have been away blue jo but i think we have a good chance of keeping hold of him mate..

Hi Ed I see now after the news of a new stadium getting closer, there is talk of Goodison becoming a World Heritage Site amongst other ideas, what is your take on this thanks GuernseyBlue.

{Ed025's Note - in my view we are already a world heritage site GB but i would be happy if it was made official mate, i have been away for a few days so have not caught up on much news yet..

What do you guys think to rumoured 40mil + Batshuayi from Chelsea for Lukaku? Not sure I'd value Batshuayi at 30 mil when he can't get a game even when all their strikers are out.

Believable3 1Unbelievable

26 Mar 2017 13:00:23
I'd rather have 70 mill instead.

Would rather just take the 70m and pick our own striker, rather than get dictated to by them gobs****.

Top target should be Lacazette. Phenomenal player! Then I would go an get another top striker in that would be relatively cheap.

Defoe would be a very smart signing, as they will go down, we could probably get him for 10/ 15m.

26 Mar 2017 14:19:58
Or how about £70m plus Michy and then go for someone like lacazette.

I would take it all day long being honest that kid could be as good as lukaku.

Not sure I value him at £30m, but he is a good player (not getting a game for Chelsea doesn't mean you're bad, literally look at Rom as an example) . Don't really trust our scouts when it comes to strikers (recent history, besides Lukaku, is appalling) so I'd be tempted.

{Ed002's Note - The club has zero interest in him and Everton have made significant changes to their scouting network.}

So what does everyone make of the 40m + Batshuayi reports for Lukaku? . We want 70m so I'm not sure why we should accept that a 32m flop is still worth 30m? .

My Thoughts exactly Gibbo.

Batshuayi is far from a flop, he needs game time, I like the player, if Chelsea upped their price plus the player and Lukaku insists he wants away I would certainly take the player on offer.

{Ed002's Note - Everton has zero interest in the player.}

Seamus! Absolutely gutted for you mate! Horrible challenge from a nobody. Everton's right back for years to come, speedy recovery. Mason Holgate your time to shine.

Horror tackle what was he thinking when he did that, watched it a few times now and it never looks any better.

You can bet Martin O, Neil will still want to have a fitness test on Coleman for the Iceland game next week.

Seamus Coleman carried off with badly broken leg. Very nasty challenge by Taylor who got straight Red. Gutted for seamus who was having a fantastic season. 😫.

I have been reading that the new stadium will be a 50,000 seat stadium, is this enough? shouldn't we be aiming for 55,000-60,000?
what do you guys think?

Believable5 3Unbelievable

23 Mar 2017 22:30:47
I don't think the size has been confirmed yet. They have probably used 50000 as a guide. The size I assume will depend on design, fans, cost amongst other things. After all we don't want another emptihad stadium like city.

Agree1 0Disagree

23 Mar 2017 22:53:28
Maybe the design would incorporate adding extra seating through an extension, if there was need for it. There's a long way to go tho mate. I think Ed002 said that it could take possibly til 2020 to be ready, so I think there will be tweeks to the design if possible. Exciting time ahead though.

I'm sure until the final architects design is complete they can't specify a capacity. I think 54,075 sounds good.

I hope it is a four stand stadium and not one of these bowls that is so popular these days.
I liked the Dortmund stadium used for last nights England game much more tradition in it, the stadium must have atmosphere and not just look good.

Agree0 1Disagree

24 Mar 2017 09:41:35
I'd rather there was demand for every game rather than empty seats all around. Plus, you want to keep the personal atmosphere of a 'smaller' ground, so 55,000 would be perfect for me.

Agree1 0Disagree

24 Mar 2017 18:58:24
Am sure it'll be better than the 'Make-do-and-mend Arena' across the park :-)

Agree0 0Disagree

24 Mar 2017 22:24:13
How about one end being for supporters who want to stand. I think it's the Dortmund stadium that has this, and it can be changed to seated when required. Atmosphere would be spanking.

Size doesn't matter. It's the quality that counts. That's what I keep telling my girlfriend. No wonder she's imaginary.
